Vynz shrugged slightly.

"I didn't ask simply to know." He hopped up over the last little dip, turning around and offering a hand to pull her up onto the little dirt road if she wanted.

Taking his hands, she was soon wondering the road with him, glad she was slowly drying off, at least cold was going away alittle bit. Now if only her stomach would stop hurting... it didn't feel like hunger.

Vynz walked along. After a while, he started kicking a rock. And after he accidentally kicked the rock out into the field, he kind of started hopping. Eventually, Vynz fell behind altogether. But then he rushed past, pulling off a perfect roundoff that went into a one handed backflip with a full twist and ended with an aerial... all while being very careful with her backpack. Wow. That was random. Especially for Vynz.

Suri stared at him. Yep, that was her course of action for a solid minute or so afterwords until she spoke absently.

" Think you could do all that and catch the backpack this time?"

Vynz's bright blue eyes rested on her, dancing in the light.

"As long as you play fair in throwing it." Wow, this was really weird. Vynz never did this sort of stuff.

suri smiled a bit more, nodding slowly.

" Of course!!"

She purred, tossing it up, watching it soar high into the sky, no where near clouds, but clearly more effort then a normal person.

Vynz bounced just once, taking a step and repeating his movements. Well, except that this time he had to hurl himself into the backspring twist part using no hands. He needed the hands to catch the backpack, which he held out triumphantly after the aerial.

Grinning and giggling she clapped a few times, enjoying the show as they continued to walk, at least her aching stomach was forgotten. Even the fact she was still shivering seemed to lack importance as they forged onward.... she was having lord of the rings flash backs.

Vynz was hopping along. It was really weird, actually. Vynz NEVER acted like this. And, actually, he was chattering now.

"And you know what I like? I like orange creamsicles. I don't care if I don't need to eat - I could eat orange creamsicles all day long. I really could. That's probably one of the coolest things about being a vampire. I don't get brainfreeze."

Suri eyed him for a few moments before pulling her wand from her backpack and poking him with her wand.

" Are you Vynz?"

Vynz held both his hands up.

"Whoa! Watch where you're pointing that thing! Of course I'm Vynz! I mean, who else would I be? I'm definitely not Vy. I think you would have noticed that. We're twins, but in case you haven't noticed, we aren't exactly identical." Chatter chatter chatter. O.o

Vynz frowned slightly, shrugging.

"You know, this actually occurred to me, but I can't figure out why. I can't seem to stop it." He pressed his lips together into a thin line.

Vynz eyed the wand warily.

"Well, I am. I feel kind of... um... almost like I've been running on empty and racing along. Which is weird, and I... I'm doing it again." He furrowed his brow, this time clamping his mouth firmly shut.

she asked, poking him with the stick again, seeming not to like this 'new' side of Vynz.

Vynz gave her a flat look.

"If you're asking if I stopped to pummel someone while tracking you down on a little 'rescue' mission, then I'm afraid to disappoint you. I was a little preoccupied." He shook his head, walking now in silence.

Vynz just gave her a look. That was all that he had for her right now. If the first three times she asked he didn't know, then why would he know now? The man walked along in silence. He could hear the sounds of a city. They were getting close.

Suri stared at the man, occasionally muttering a word and jabbing him with her wand, seeming to half expect him to turn into a turtle or something.

Vynz had given up on telling her to stop. After all, if she was going to... I don't know... turn him into a turtle or something, there wasn't anything he could really do about that, now was there? He found himself stopping as the street suddenly became paved, the city before them. He bent over, placing his hands on his knees.

"Can we stop for a minute?" he asked breathlessly.

Suri nodded slowly, frowning deeply. A winded vampire? Yep... he couldn't be Vynz. With that decision, Suri turned around and started walking back the way they'd come. She'd have to go back for him... Just when had she lost him?

Vynz could only watch her go for a minute. No pity for the wounded. Which was a weird thought, and he was vaguely alarmed by it. He didn't know why he was having problems. However, the man eventually stood up and jogged after her, which strangely made him feel better.

"Where are you going? I thought you said you were hungry?" At least he felt better until he stopped jogging.

Vynz reached out and snagged the back of her shirt (which was actually his coat).

"Would you stop already? I'm telling you. I'm me. Go on. Quiz me, whatever. Just... Stop." He frowned. Talking made him feel better too, but... it just didn't seem to be enough to offset things.

with that she tugged the coat free and walked off once more.

Vynz sighed now, stopping.

"Would you... just... aghhh..." He pressed his fist to his chest, frowning deeply as he went so far as to even glare at the ground.

"Fine." That last one was kind of squeaked out, which frustrated him slightly.

Vynz just stood there, staring at her back.

This is ridiculous. I just can't win. Not that it really matters in the long run of things, I guess. Eventually she'll get tired of looking for me and... His mental process broke off as his face crinkled up.

The man pressed both of his hands (one right above the other) over his diaphragm, grimacing. The man normally breathed. It was just a habit so that he didn't stick out like a sore thumb. However, he suddenly found that he couldn't. Normally this wouldn't have been a big deal, seeing as breathing to him was like eating a hamburger - an unnecessary act. Right now, though, it felt horrible. His chest was completely expanded to its limit as though he was holding in the biggest breath possible. No, it was beyond even that, his skin taunt with overexpansion. That was uncomfortable, but the thing that was causing him not only severe pain but also a degree of actual alarm was something else. His chest was filled with what he could only assume to be air. It was expanding far beyond normal capacity... and it was beginning to crush his heart.

The man found himself feeling incredibly weak. Well, wasn't this a new and interesting way to kill a vampire?

Suri stared at Vynz a moment, eyebrow raising ever so slightly, wondering if this was a ploy to keep her from heading back, or if something was really wrong. after a few seconds, she decided something was off, eyes looking over Vynz a bit more.

Vynz rasped out a few words, feeling a tiny release of pressure as he did so.

"The body craves what it needs." Thus explaining the random airy behavior previous to this moment, but... The man began to walk off back towards the town, feeling like his knees were about to give out. It was horrible, and his face blanched.

The man was walking along, but it got more and more difficult. As his knee finally buckled, Vynz had to face the fact that he wasn't going to make it back to town - which was mortifying. He sat down before his body decided to give out and have him fall down. However, he refused to look at Suri.

"Less... pressure..." His vision was a little blurry. Wow, there was a way to kill a vamp slowly.

Suri made a small face, placing each of her rather tiny, delicate little hands to the sides of his face. Perhaps she didn't hear the words, or maybe she didn't care, but the firm pressure the small woman placed upon his temples to probe around to discover what was going on, was all she did none the less as she chanted lightly under her breath. The goodnews? She found out what was wrong, the bad? she didn't know what to do to help. She was a sorceress, not a doctor!

Vynz couldn't think of anything either. He had been trying to ever since he realized himself what was going on. It was so bad that he didn't even bother to frown at her for going all magicky on him.

((This is what happens when I don't think things through and come up with a solution... You'd think I'd have learned by now... -_- *thinkthinkthink*))

There was a thought that occurred to him all at once. His startling blue eyes shifted to the sorceress, and he immediately regretted this even though he hadn't so much as suggested it yet. Still, it was all that he had.

"Do you... have... an athame?" Or a case knife... or a pointy stick...
