Darryn rolled his eyes, distantly irritated with the guys that had moved on from laughing at him to harassing him. He frowned at them.

"So you're just going to make fun of me like a bunch of dicks while you're the ones caught with your pants down?" And then he left the lavatory.

Ashleigh smirked and left behind him, finishing pulling bits of sink and paper from him, smiling as she snatched his hand and tugged him back towards her, kissing him softly.

Darryn smiled faintly against her lips, swiping water off of his face as he pulled away. The man glanced up, seeing a couple of the guys staring at him with disbelieving gazes. He glanced to Ashleigh, for a moment toying with the idea of leaning over to kiss her just to spite him.

Ashleigh glanced to Darryn and then back to the guys, then to Darryn again, shaking her head, kissing him again, then walking off with him.

" Those guys were a piece of work."

YES! Darryn was glad of her timing and couldn't help but smile to himself as they walked off.

"Maybe I should turn one or two of them. I'm sure my clan would be glad to have them."

ashleigh made an odd face all of a sudden, looking to darryn.

Darryn's brows shot up.

"It would be absolutely no effort... seeing as I wouldn't do it." He shrugged slightly.

"It was a bitter, spiteful comment. I'm sorry."

" Once more, they aren't worth any effort. it is no large issue, love."

Darryn walked on silently, leaving little wet footprints on the carpet. He turned his eyes to her once more about five minutes later.

"Did you really think I was that impulsive?"

Darryn shrugged slightly. He knew that was the truth.

"Yeah, well... not with that. I've thought about it before. I don't think we have any business ripping people from what they are born in to."

ashleigh hesitated a moment, softly speaking now.

" I'd not be here with you, if not for something of that variety happening to me."

She reminded him as she kissed the hand she now held, looking off.

Darryn looked at her and wilted slightly. Why was he always sticking his foot in his mouth?

"I didn't mean... I just... It's not... I was just saying that I personally wouldn't do it." He decided to be brave. He gently squeezed her hand.

she purred gently, smiling as he squeezed her hand, looking to the stars about.

" I like it in Vegas... especially since we're outside the city so we can see the stars.."

Darryn glanced at her then quickly back down at the ground. He reached up, rubbing the back of his neck as he quickly mumbled something about 'having been born here'.

"But look, you can see Orion tonight!" Yes, that was the only constellation he knew.

Darryn smiled at the compliment, or as it took it to be. He nodded lightly, looking up at the stars from where he lay in the grass.

"I'll admit it, I was a mama's boy." But then the joking faded slightly.

"No, really. I think you would have liked her, Ashleigh."

"Oh. No, she's been gone for a while now. Politics: 'poly' meaning many, 'ticks' being blood sucking parasites." He wasn't joking, though.

Ashleigh smiled brightly, producing a little child-like cord that clipped onto darryn's back belt loop, and she kissed him softly.

" I don't wanna say I lost my man in Vegas, it'll sound pathetic."
