Hunter gave a small nod. Then, slowly, he would get up, vertebrae by vertebrae. The man would walk to his room... and promptly crash into the bed.

Naomi left him be, and would have the kids scooped up and moved into Hunter's lounge. She watched them play in there as she looked to the front door, watching Mew enter.

mew's here. No max.

Hunter stirred slightly, but chose not to get up.

Not worried Mew.

Mew would move along to take a shower and change his clothes. He was cold!

Naomi would opt to snuggling the 'stranger' mew while Hunter was sleeping, yawning.

Have to wake.. hunter... Max... shows up...

and out the woman went.

Naomi woke when she felt something tug on her. Oh, then her reaction when she found herself in mew's lap was pretty impressive too, as she fell into the floor and looked about, trying to pin what was going on.

Mew looked at her.

"Are you okay?"

He considered the woman, offering her a hand to stand up as he stood as well.

Naomi slowly took Mew's hand, standing and looking about, eyes a bit wide as she slowly moved to her feet, looking to the sleeping kids on the floor, then the door that opened.

She moved to Hunter, gently touching his arm.

Hu-

Even as Max's arms circled about her waist.

Hunter's voice boomed through the air.

Max. Not Naomi. Naomi was his.

Naomi's eyes grew wide. Oh, Hunter, you weren't too specific there, and you'd just calmed her down from scaring the crap out of her. Naomi moved from Max and Hunter alike.

Max frowned.

" I'm here for her."

he stated simply.

" She needs someone who cares about her."

Hunter very gently reached out to touch her elbow, his touch gentle and beckoning, even though his eyes were glaring at Max with acidic sharpness.

"She already has someone, thank you."

Max stared at Hunter.

Yeah, look at her. She's terrified of you.

He pointed out with a small motion.

Naomi swallowed, eyes turning over Hunter. Slowly, timidly she slid back into Hunter's arms, nestling to his chest.

Max's jaw clenched and unclenched, eyes turning over naomi. Slowly he knelt before her, looking over her face, brushing her hair back.

" I'll be around. You call and I'll come."

he didn't leave the house, just the room.

Hunter's eyes turned to Naomi then. He didn't say anything at first. After a moment, he gave a soft sigh.

Naomi looked up at Hunter, silent as she held to the man who had invited her to him. Did he want her to leave now?

Hunter then sat down with her, pulling her into his lap. His eyes were so sad.

I didn't mean to...

He trailed off for a minute as he looked across her face.

I never asked, did I? ...What do you want? Do you want to be with him?

Naomi was shaking now, looking to her hands, shaking her head slowly. She reached up and touched the small stone like object beneath his shirt, fingers tracing that part of her she'd given to him.

I have given you my heart. I have given you all my being. I have given you all I know how to give you. I love you.

she offered, eyes on her hands now.

I'll go to him, rather then stay with you, if that is what you want of me.

she offered. She was not a meek spirit, but she was at the moment.

Hunter caught her hands, folding them up between his as he leaned to kiss the knuckles once.

I want you - I wouldn't fight to keep you if I didn't. I just needed to be sure that you wanted me back. I didn't want to trap you.

You can not trap those that are unwilling to remain. Eventually they are free.

Hunter nodded slowly. It was just... his guilt had been pretty bad before this whole ordeal. Now it was even worse. If Max would have had any idea about how it plagued him, the man wouldn't have questioned Hunter.

Naomi grunted about three minutes later, and held her stomach. she would be out of Hunter's arms and in the bathroom in seconds, losing the contents of her sotmach.
