What's Wrong With....?

Post by Sushi »

Vynz gave a grin. He liked her. Eventually it was just him and Evynna sitting in their bar, going through the channels on the tv. Normally it was just on sports for common appeal, but now they were bouncing between Evynna's soap and NCIS.

"C'mon, all that lovey-dovey mush pretzels is toxic."

"Yeah, well look at the bodies and whatnot on yours. So fake."

"Hey, did you realize what you hired?" Vy glared at him.

"Of course. Do you take me for stupid?" Vynz just laughed and his sister added on a milder afterthought as she grabbed the remote and they settled on Dirty Jobs. "Yeah, I thought about offering to make her stock manager and giving her triple the current pay grade, but I decided that might have put her off." Vynz shrugged as he watched Mike Rowe climb into a cement mixer.

"Oh, I don't know. She seems pretty straightforward to me." Considering that she had already broached the topic... The show went on as they both sat there, munching on peanuts.

Suri eventually walked in on there little TV night, carrying a few bags, eyebrows raising, small smile stretching at the corners of her mouth.

" Thank the gods you can watch something other then the mindless testosterone display of male ego in action."

She purred, looking about before heading upstairs with her new purchases, playing with the ring on her finger as she made her way to her little apartment.

Neither of them spared her a glance, but they both responded at the same time.

"Hella no!"

"TV pales in comparison to the real thing."

Guess which one was which. Vynz even went the extra mile and threw a peanut at Suri as she walked up the stairs.

The peanut completely missed and seemed to bounce off a rather invisible wall as she turned the corner up the next level of stairs. Men, so stupid with their sports.

Vynz glanced at Evynna after hearing the peanut bounce all the way back down the stairs.

"Did you tell her where I live?"

"No, why would I?"

"Good."

"I'll be right back." Yup, their conversations tended to lack absolute definition. Evynna walked up the stairs and knocked on the new tenant's door.

Suri lay upon her bed, looking to the door, eyes locked on the doorknob.

" It's open."

She purred softly.

Evynna opened the door, though she did not step across the threshold. Her eyes settled on the tenant.

"I was just wanting to check to see if everything was working properly for you. Any repairs or such that I need to schedule?"

" The plumbing isn't working properly, and the window locks are broken. Everything is back flowing into the bathtub."

she purred, not seeming bothered by this issue, smiling slightly.

" not a large issue, but something that should probably get fixed. The dishwasher almost overflows the bathtub."

Evynna pressed a hand to her forehead and looked down.

"Sorry about that. The wiring was inspected, but I didn't realize the pipes were so bad. I'll have a plumber over first thing in the morning, and I'll send Vynz to fix your window locks later." Her eyes drifted across the ceiling and flooring looking for any potential water damage that was obvious. She didn't see any yet, which was good. That just meant that they would need a lot of bleach.

"anything else?"

" Broken showerhead in the bathroom, also."

She replied, small apologetic smile on her face, setting up slowly, looking over the full moon outside.

Evynna winced.

"I'll send Vynz to the hardware store first, then. Apologies for the inconvenience." She almost didn't ask it. But she had to.

"Anything else?"

" .... Not that I've noticed, but I've only been here two days."

Suri replied simply.

" Sorry, though."

Evynna nodded slightly.

"Okay. It's not your fault. We should have checked the plumbing. If there's anything else, you have my card." She then kind of awkwardly reached to grab the doorknob, pausing to see if there was any last minute comment or if she was dismissed.

" the knob catches, you have to lift up, and to the right."

She warned, smiling as she rested back.

Evynna just sighed this time and pulled the door shut. She then proceeded downstairs to find that Vynz had left... leaving the tv on, a dirty glass on the counter, and some peanuts on the floor. Great. She did however, call him. And the grumbling lasted for quite some time before he consented to fixing all the stuff. Evynna couldn't call the plumber yet. After all, it was three in the morning.

Vynz walked into the Home Depot. Why someone had deemed it appropriate to have a 24 hour Home Depot, he didn't know. But either way he was going to take advantage of it. The downside? Since he was the only one in the store, he was going to have to beat associates off of him with a stick.

Suri smiled, climbing out the window, soon setting on the roof, watching the meteor shower, smiling and humming as she hoped to catch one... she was in the right spot, after all.

((Cheater. Fixed the confusing typos and everything. =P))

Vynz was currently sitting in his own room on his bed. He would go over in daytime hours to fix the apartment. For now he was going to play Final Fantasy on his gameboy. It was a hobby of his every once in a while. His favorite part? There were NO vampire-like characters to pick from... and the little flying ship was FANTASTIC. In general he didn't really care for video games, but this one for some reason or another was mildly entertaining.

After about a fifteen minutes, however, he became fed up with the stupid two-headed beastie boss that kept killing his little ninja guy. That was the reason that he didn't play very often. He turned off the game and put it in a drawer, picking up a better waste of his time. His guitar.

So there he was, sitting on the king-size mattress in a cubby hole designed bed (complete with closing doors), and playing his guitar. It was actually pretty amusing. A small little bungalow on the outskirts of town. If you looked out one window you saw the city. If you looked out the other, you would see a field. The house was a rather nondescript pale blue. The inside decor was pretty simple. The floors were a lightly stained hardwood and the walls were a very pale tan. There were exactly two doors in the house (excluding the one that lead into it). When you walked into the house you stood in a living room, complete with a dark brown couch, a wicker end table on which sat a lamp and two remotes, a pretty nice flatscreen television with built-in dvd player. There was a small partition wall with a viewing window that partially hid the kitchen nook. It had all stainless steel appliances and the countertops were a sandstone colored marble. The first door was on the left and it led to a small tan bathroom. The second door was on the right and it led to what seemed to be a room of junk. There desk on which there sat a laptop computer. In the drawers and cubbyholes there were random stuff. Currently there was an empty metal stand for a guitar and a chair pulled halfway out. The two doors were also open, revealing the bed. But when they were closed, it looked like just storage space.

Happily setting in the floor of her apartment, studying the little rock, not caring it's temperature as she bounced it in her hands, trying to determine if it would work or if she needed one that was smaller.

Suri soon took a nap, then was downstairs dancing before she knew it. It was a rather simple flow of life for her, and easy cover. After dancing, she was off stage and fetching a drink.

Vynz was taking off his apron as she ordered a drink. In fact, it was even the other bartender that filled her order.

"Might as well just give her the whole jar." He snarked before throwing his stuff into his locker and pulling out instead a tool belt and box of hardware, sneaking off upstairs.

Sipping the cherry schnapps she'd ordered this time, she smirked ever so slightly as her eyes turned to the bartender making his way up towards her apartment. she warned them about her having alcohol....

Vynz felt stupid as he stood in front of her door. His sister had told him to knock, but... C'mon. Okay, he knew that no one was watching, but he was not going to make himself look like a creeper. As dumb as it was, he knocked. Then he reached into his pocket to pull out the key ring. The doorknob was first on the list.

Suri was soon finish the bottle of cherry schnapps, small grin growing at the corners of her mouth, leaning back a bit as she started to wonder over to the dance floor.

Replacing the doorknob was easy. Even the shower head was easy. However the window locks were and entirely different story. It involved him sitting half-in, half-out of the window with the bottom panel flipped down and mostly in his lap. Not to mention his little allen wrench and screwdriver trying to work with this thing...

Suri was soon on a tab, and enjoying herself, drawing alot more attention then the currently paid individuals, though that might have something to do with the odd moonlight glow coming form the table as she danced.

Vynz eventually made his way back down the stairs. Hopefully she wouldn't notice that little scratch in the paint on the wall... He had moved her bedside table two inches to cover it up, after all.

However, as he was taking off his toolbelt, he came out into the commons. And then he saw it. Lucky Lucifer lent his horns to the archangels on earth. He glanced at the bouncers that were slowly but surely making their way through the crowds. This wasn't going to end well.

As the song ended, so did Suri's little dance, and she landed, square on her butt, in the middle of the table, small smile on her face as all the people slowly got the hint to wonder away by the time the bouncers made it to her. Merely blowing them off without thought, she moved over to acquire herself a glass full of cherries.

The other bartender looked at her like she was insane but when about filling the order. Cherries on the rocks... However, he was incredibly annoyed as Vynz did one of the things most annoying to a tender. Vynz snatched the drink before it slid all the way down to the customer. He smiled at woman and offered her the glass, though of course just out of her reach.

Suri stared at him a moment, and actually contemplated his game for a moment before simply holding her hand open and the glass jumped the distance to her on it's own as she started to munch. Yep, she was being very mild at the moment.

Vynz stared at her for a long moment. He thought about exposing her or throwing a fit. Obviously anyone that had noticed it was too drunk to care, but... He watched as the bouncer finally got close enough. The burly man snatched the woman up with normal intention to carry her out.

This didn't really work. You see, even intoxicated, Suri was firey, at least. So, with a rather large protest, she wormed and wiggled and kicked. Of course, it was all merely an open act as she soon slipped free of his arms and was returning to her little stool to eat her cherries. She liked her cherries. Dumb boys.

The bouncer was back.

"Miss, if you don't leave the premises, then I will be forced to call the authorities." Meanwhile, Vynz was only faintly amused. For a split second he considered leaving a trail of cherries to the door...

Suri now turned around, standing up. True, she was a solid foot shorter, however, the look on her face was anything but enjoyable as her arms crossed. He'd ruined cherry time.

" Listen well, now. I don't repeat myself. Should you lay one finger upon me again, I'll rip your skin off you body dry if and tend it as hide and wear it as a leather coat. Call the authorities and you'll discover as long as I'm causing no problem, they won't remove me. Now leave me be before I ripe you flesh off anyway."

Vynz by this point had decided to leave. It wasn't exactly complete plausible deniability, but it was close enough. He didn't want to have to be the one to tell Vy about this. She had a horrible tendency to shoot the messenger.

The bouncer was completely unfazed.

"That's it." He muttered something into a radio and then reached out, grabbing her by the scruff.

Suri normally followed through on her threats. However, this time she didn't. He was fortunate in that aspect. But not in many others. They weren't being watched, and that's where the beauty of the whole thing came in when he grabbed her. She wouldn't have done this, had she not been caught off guard. But without a second thought the man vanished.

Gasping slightly, as he'd caught her shirt and had choked her, she was rubbing her neck and looking about to make sure no one had seen anything before taking her glass of cherries and wondering upstairs. She'd had enough of dumbies tonight..... She wasn't entirely sure where she'd sent the bouncer, aside form in the middle east somewhere.

Vynz actually made it all the way home... before he realized that his wallet was missing. Dangit. He thought about it, and surely enough it came to him. The window! So, in partial effort to avoid the drunken woman, in partially an act of convenience, Vynz was walking around the roof and looking in the gutters before the hour had passed.

Laying in her bed, tossing said lost ( and found) wallet up and down, she hadn't even opened it. She was merely bored in her place with nothing to do, so it seemed like something to do as she rested upon her bed. besides, she was kind of debating whether she should chase after the dumb butt and do as she stated she would....
