Victoria looked at both of them, pointedly.

" I don't care how you feel, Kyle, get the hell out of here."

Kyle looked at her, eyes growing dark now as he stood.

" You've not seen the last of me."

However, he honestly did leave.

Victoria looked at Dessa.

" At least another room?"

She knew the woman wouldn't leave completely, she didn't know how, she just did.

Dessa sighed and looked at Victoria. However...

"I won't like it." Once again, at least she was honest. Her dark eyes shifted to Lot.

"If you so much as push her, I swear I will drop you where you stand." And with that, she climbed down the hole. (even though she did contemplate chilling out in the bathroom)

Victoria relaxed a bit, looking to Lot, moving to kiss him, moving into his arms like she liked being.

" better."

She purred softly, nuzzling and kissing at him.

Lot held on to her, not responding at first.

"That's it?" Honestly, he expected her to still be sore or to chew him out or something.

Dessa was sitting on top of the dresser at the bottom of the hole. It was a different room.

Victoria stopped, looking at him square in the eye now, swallowing as she shook her head, eyes falling to her lap now. she was trying to forget everything, and he'd pretty much just had her bring it all back.

" ... If your going to make me get rid of the baby... or kill it later... kill me too when you do it."

she said gently, intently looking at her fingers. She couldn't look at him, she'd start crying.

Lot sat up, now looking at her.

"That baby will become just as strong as you while it is in there. It could tear you apart from the inside. Amongst other things." Just about the only thing that he didn't have to worry about was it turning her into a vampire. Mixers couldn't do that, and that he was thankful for.

Victoria kept her eyes on her hands, speaking softly.

" I can't kill it. It's not it's fault how it's being brought here... and I couldn't handle knowing I am the reason my child has to die."

She tried to explain, trying to keep herself calm for this, heart aching as he made her discuss this.

" If it's ever between me and the baby, I'll pick the baby."

She tried to get him to understand as she was fighting back tears, not doing too good of a job.

Lot was stuck with a frown.

"That baby will always picks itself too." He was getting rather agitated, actually.

"It was eat you from the inside out and then it will die because there is nothing left." Okay... a little bit of an exaggeration, but still.

Victoria swallowed and moved from his arms. She didn't see him understanding, tears coating her face.

" Your asking me to let my child go."

she said softly, wiping her face.

" No... your telling me to.'

she added, walking carefully across teh room to set down on the floor, holding herself. this is why she wanted to forget. It hurt.

Lot let her go, sitting there and watching her. The man didn't say anything. She pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Dessa, meanwhile was listening. How she felt about the conversation was rather complicated. But then again, mixed children were rather complicated anyhow. Especially to a progressive slayer like Dessa. Had she been conservative, she wouldn't have had a problem.

she tried to get him to understand, would be like making him sustain himself on twinkies only.

" I can not let that happen. If you force me to do it, I won't be far behind my baby."

she told him softly, holding herslef still.

Lot tried a different tact.

"What would you do after it is born? It'll need to drink. Just like me. But it won't have the control an adult does. It won't have the ability to hunt like an adult does. What are you going to do then when it starts screaming because it is starving to death? Or what are you going to do when it latches on to you and doesn't let go?" Lot's lips pulled back from his own teeth as to accentuate this point.

Victoria was currently sobbing enough that what he was saying just amde it worse.

Holding herself, heart breaking again, for about the millionth time today, she looked at Lot, eyes hurt.

" I can't kill it... It's my child. ..."

she tried to explain again. it was impossible to convey those feelings in a way he'd get. she knew what he was saying, she knew what she was looking forward to as he pointed out little facts... she had few options, but she still had some.. She couldn't let her child go... She couldn't kill it.

" I can't kill it. it's innocent of us... it's not it's fault that this happened...... it's mine..."

she tried to explain to him, sobbing a bit harder.

Lot looked her straight in the eye. Obviously the tears were having no affect right now.

"What you seem to be missing is that came from me too. My kind murder people all the time. Do you think that you are the first woman in my house? You don't have to kill it. You just have to sit still."

She looked at him, eyes catching his.

" I can't... If you kill it.. You can't expect me to out live it by long."

she explained gently, the look on her face sincere.

" I know you don't want it. I know you don't care about it. But... It's something that I do care about... I have one thing...."

she was trying to keep the last of herself together, still crying, barely holding onto rational.

Lot clenched and unclenched his fists several times.

"Fine." He rubbed the bridge of his nose.

"We'll see." He wasn't exactly giving in. It was difficult to explain.

she wanted to crawl back onto the bed with him, to cry on the bed, instead of set on the floor, but she was hesitant, for several reasons. One, she wasn't sure he'd let her, as she was 100000000000% sure he was mad at her, as he always was when she disagreed with him... and nextly, she wasn't too sure if she could trust him not to steal her child while she wasn't paying attention.

( not literally steal, of course.)

"Well, you can't keep sitting there, because that's where my dresser goes." As he walked over to the hole, Dessa leaped off and leaned against the wall a little deeper in the passaged.

slowly she moved to stand once more, if one watched her walking, they'd know she was having a nearly impossible time moving about as she clambored back upon the bed, looking back at her master, nestling down into his pillows, tears slowing on their own as she kept her silence.

The dresser slowly eased up through the hole and Lot came to follow, carrying his trapdoor after. He looked down the hole and called out to the girl down there.

"You're still fixing this." Dessa called back up.

"At least I didn't break it." Lot frowned, shaking his head as he slid the dresser back into its place.

Victoria ventured, perhaps an hour later. She was starting to get excessively hungry, but the three flights of stairs, to any of the kitchens in the house, seemed like a rather poor, and even dangerous idea....

Lot's eyes settled on her with that deadpan look. Right now he didn't see the purpose to trying to hide the whole anti-food thing anymore.

"...Really..." The man put down the trashbag with a bit of thought. Great. Then he stood up and walked over to the hole. "Go get her something." Dessa's voice was rather displeased with this whole thing.

"I am NOT your slave, for the last time." Lot gritted his teeth. Insufferable little...

"Will you go get her something?" That was a little better, at least good enough for the girl. She returned with some sticky buns, a couple grilled cheeses, a ham omelet, and a whole two liter of sprite.

Victoria's eyes bulged slightly when she saw all the food, looking to her master, a bit concerned as she pretty much ignored Dessa ( Silently thanking her) .

" You need to eat...... Not food, wise..."

she said, leaving it at eating. As it was, for him, just a different kind.

Lot looked at her, that expression not changing one iota from that sort of are-you-serious look.

"You want to get rid of me by having me to leave you alone with... her?" He gestured to Dessa, who was helping Victoria demolish some of the sticky buns. The girl grinned.

"Would you rather leave her by herself?" The vein in Lot's temple throbbed. See, this wouldn't be a problem if he would have restocked his fridge after last time...

Lot then quite promptly began to grumble about being bossed and how she didn't know what she needed and so one and so forth. However, he also climbed down the hole and left.

Dessa meanwhile pulled the thing away from her mouth, listening with one ear. Then, at a cue that wasn't entirely obvious, she bounced down on to Lot's bed with a grin.

"So, what would you like me to call you?"

Dessa casually lay back on the bed, staring up at the black glass ceiling, where she knew that the stars lurked beyond. She gave a gentle laugh.

"I seem to recall that it was you that threw Kyle out." It was said in a friendly manner, something that couldn't possibly be considered as offensive. Especially coming from such a young and innocent looking girl.

"I don't know. I haven't entirely decided. It is a very complex situation." She gave a little laugh.

" Yes... I dreamed of being drugged, stole, sold and used. Then I dreamed of falling in love with a man who will never care for me back, and carry a child that could kill me. Not to mention, if the child lives... and I raise it, it will be raised in captivity... as I am cared for in it...... Or the fact Lot will never care about the child... if he even acknowledges it..."

Victoria was fighting tears as she swallowed slowly, looking to her toes, heart aching.
