Ephriam was gone and back in a matter of minutes, holding a warm bowl of oatmeal in one hand and a tray in the other. The tray had several things... Sugar, brown sugar, milk, cinnamon, raisins, a spoon, and a GIANT glass of orange juice.

Marina looked up, smiling and coughing as she took the offered food, along with the brown sugar and milk, sipping at the juice in between coughs as she worked on eating, and had the bowl full of food gone rather fast, to be honest. Hunger ftw?

Ephriam very politely stood there, and when it was gone he reached for the bowl with a smile.

"That is pleasing to see. Would you like some more?"

This time Ephriam's tray held a slightly different array of things. The other additions besides her milk and brown sugar had been removed, however, there was a lovely bottle of cough syrup in its stead.

"Here we go..." Oh, and this time he brought a bowl for himself too.

As thoughtful as Marina was, she actually managed to eat her share, and his, before he probably had a chance to realize it had happened, managing to dodge taking that medicine... she hated that stuff, even if it worked.

Ephriam actually gave a soft laugh as he looked at the one spoonful he had managed to scoop up before she had snatched his bowl. However, first being a gentleman and second being that there wasn't a food shortage, he didn't fight her for it. Instead he swallowed his given bite and reached to open the bottle, his fingers lighting off the childproof lid with no issue.

"Come along now..." He poured out a dose.

"If you drink this, then I will gladly fix the rest of the oatmeal in the kitchen." And if you saw the huge tin of oats they had...

Marina made a look on her face that clearly stated he could bribe her with all the sugar and diamonds in the world, and she'd not be happy to open her mouth for this stuff.... But since he was asking her, she made a cute little disgusted face, and took it like a big girl... until it hit her tongue, then several disgusted faces followed, resulting in her downing a second glass of orange juice.

Ephriam smiled apologetically as he recapped the bottle.

"I apologize, but you know that it will help." He paused to gather the bowls together before looking back up at her.

"Are you feeling brighter today?"

she replied softly, coughing again.

Ephriam nodded and stood up.

"That hardly surprises me. You have not eaten for nearly a week." The man turned and pulled out a clean set of nightclothes for the woman in case she felt like changing. But then he picked up the dirty dishes, preparing to take them down.

Ephriam paused for a minute and then looked up at her, partially surprised.

"You are ill and yet you maintain your thoughtfulness..." He turned to face her and nodded. "Thank you." Earlier today he had been procrastinating the idea of drinking a bottle from the cellar just as badly as she had been trying to put off drinking the cough syrup. This was actually an amazing out.

"Thank you." Eph left, but it was only a minute or two until Jethro walked in, holding a bag of chips and three chocolate candy bars.

Marina informed him through a tired voice, and very sore throat as she coughed again, nestling back into her covers, snuggling with the pillow Ephriam had been using for support.

Jethro raised a brow as he sat down.

"These aren't all for me. I thought we could have a little junk food fest while daddy was gone." He peeled back the wrapper and offered her a piece of choclate. "It's good for the soul."

Marina looked over Jehtro, taking about half the offered chocolate bar, not sure her stomach could handle much more as she rested back into the bed.

" ... daddy... please don't use that again."

She asked it very politely, but it obviously hit a nerve as she was currently trying to keep her composure, while ill ( which was a challenge, to say the least) and she simply let the chocolate work it's temporary magic.

Jethro popped a sizable chunk into his mouth, cracking open the bag of chips.

"Was just joking anyways..." However, he nodded with consent. It wasn't that big of a deal to him either way. It wouldn't be too long until Ephriam was back anyhow. After all, it was a quickie run. Not a sporting one.

She asked with a hoarse voice, coughing again.

Marina looked him over.

" Only if you bring the toys to go with it, I have officially decided, despite the fact he thinks I'm at least attractive, in a normal state, he's not going to do anything about it, and therefore, I'm stuck to celibacy by force."

She complained openly, still not understanding Ephriam on that one... he was talking about turning her so she'd be with him forever... if he expected her not to want sex for all eternity....

Jethro mistook her rant for actual questions. And he had an explanation for whatever time she wanted.

"In the past he has never been survived by an intimacy. In the future either he will be stronger or you will be less breakable. He would be very shy about those shops - it isn't his cup of tea, but you might be in business with the radio." The man shoved another handful of chips in his mouth.

She replied simply, lookign rather unhappy with life now, hiding in the blankets.

Jethro just shrugged slightly.

"Try again?" And with that he was gone. When Ephriam walked in, Marina's state was rather far from what he was expecting. He stood there, with the sudden feeling that he had done something wrong.

"Wait... You said I could..." He gestured hopelessly towards the door, already resigning himself to whatever he was being blamed with.

She informed him softly, feeling guilty as he walked in, yes, she was going crazy.... But, still.... He had no clue how bad, apparently... because if it was half as bad for him, as it was her, then he'd be all over her....

Ephriam gave a long sigh, ruffling his hands through his dark hair. The man walked over and sat on the end of the bed, trying to think of what to say as he dusted some crumbs off the spread.

"Jethro is a better vampire than I am." That was all that came to mind, and even that wasn't very good.

Ephriam didn't meet her gaze on that one. In face, his expression looked like it should have had a light blush. It didn't, but it should have.

So that was also a bit more harsh then needed. Still not meant the way it sounded though.

Ephriam didn't respond to that one. She might not have meant it as such, but it still felt like a direct attack on her person. He did lift his eyes to meet hers, though.

Marina looked him over, knowing she'd hurt him, moving to kiss him, coughing and crying slightly, as she didn't have the mental ability.
