Marina gave him a tiny little look. While he might be sarcastic she had a tiny spike of discomfort at the mere thought of doing such a thing. He would find her turning on his lap, back pressing to his chest tracing the arm about her waist.

"Disarm the threat is first.... do you have somewhere to hold her that she'd remain un-threat like? "

Cause while subdued was her only chance at finding out wtf she'd done to get this spontaneous behavior.

[Sushi]

"I guess I could stuff her in the basement if you really want... Nothing could go wrong there."

He sighed heavily.

Marina shifted to look up at him, pulling his mouth down to kiss hers.

If he got almost a complete view of her chest, well given her behavior it was almost certainly intentional?

/yes, well, I better go get to work since you're doing it the hard way./

Marina pouted at him a tiny bit.

/I want to full information before making a choice. Quick decisions tend to come back to haunt you. /

She shifted up and kissed him twice.

"But I'm gonna go enjoy your jets since you're gonna be busy for a bit, it sounds like. "

"this could be quick and easy, but fine."

He wasn't especially upset. He was mostly just grinding from dissatisfaction.

Marina glanced at him as she stood, grinning at his state of undress, placing his hands to rest on either side of her waist.

"I suppose since you're being my dark knight I could try to pacify myself with other endeavors for a while. But I might be too much for you if it's too long. "

She was only posing challenge in that flirting teasing tone, reminding herself that there was an actual danger outside and she really should let him manage that crazy lady before he bed this one.

"I do question leaving you alone too. That usually doesn't turn out well either."

Marina walked a finger down his chest, an eyebrow slowly quirking up in question.

"Well. I am not about to go out there and draw her fire, if that's what you're suggesting. So.....I will behave.....ish, and stay in the house where I'm safe.... and pout over the fact you're just a tiny bit too good at your work and that you are resistent to the idea of bending me over the couch. "

[Sushi]

"you are being utterly unfair, especially for someone asking for a favor."

[Tree]

Marina leaned forward, kissing him easily..

"I'll wait for you. But I hope you're not too depleted after your finished with her. Because I hope you can wash away any memory of feeling threatened. "

With pure ecstasy. Stealing another kiss she then stepped back to give him room to fully get up

Hale waved a hand and stood.

"You should stay away from the windows."

[Tree]

Marina nodded, watching him.

"I'm gonna probably just read up on the thing trying to kill me when the books are brought. "

Well, that and when he came back in the house he'd find her lounging on the couch in one of his button downs, lacey black panties peeking out from the red silk pooling about her upper things as she crossed her legs, kicking her foot slightly as she read.

Hale paused as he passed the doorway, actually taking a step back so he could get a better look at her. A slow smile spelled out his approval before he continued on his way, wiping his hands off with a towel.

"Learn anything useful?" He asked a couple minutes later when he returned in a fresh shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows.

"Ah, just basic stuff at the moment, but if she's neutralized in the basement I presume that I've got a bit of time to better know the creature bumping in the night. "

She answered, peeking over her book to look up at him, smiling a bit.

"Did you get hurt? "

That was genuine concern as she sat up right and placed the closed book beside her. She reached to lightly poke at him, as if testing he didn't have any bruises or hidden life threatening wounds just out of sight.

[Sushi]

His brow quirked up.

"This is my home. My castle, if you will. You think it's that easy to get to me?"

[Tree]

"Maybe. "

She looked up at him with a bit of concern as she leaned forward and kissed his abdomen now, nipping at his shirt.

"I love you. The only hurt I want for you is utter exhaustion from cuming again and again. "

[Sushi]

"then maybe I have a bit of white knight in me after all. I'm willing to fall on that sword."

He tilted her chin up so he could study her.

Marina smiled at him, curls tumbling back from her face as her eyes met his. Her chest strained the top button just a tidbit and she was biting her bottom lip just a tiny bit too hard as she sat before him.

He let his finger trail down her neck.

"I'll never even pretend to be the good guy."

She felt shivers of anticipated delight come over her as she watched him closely.

/ But I've been told that opposites attract.... maybe we were always going to happen. /

Hale grinned as he leaned in close, finger trailing down her breastbone.

"We were if I had my way."

[Tree]

Marina looked up at him, breath catching a bit as she hooked her fingers moved to curl over his waistband.

" You fell in love with me, how could I resist when you started to love me back? "

He might not be a white knight, but he was listening to her decisions and helping her keep safe.

"When you say it back? Out loud? "

Her insides fluttered and warmth filled her cheeks.

"It's delightful to be loved back and being with someone who isn't shy about sharing it where anyone might hear."

[Sushi]

Hale chuckled and lifted her towards himself a little.

"There you are, trying to be an soft and squishy still. That's not gonna work with what I have in mind."

[Tree]

Marina growled a tiny bit.

"Mmm, well. It sounds like you're about to see if you can make me happy enough to have the staff aware of my satisfaction."

Snapping her teeth at him in play.

[Sushi]

"that's a much better attitude."

Hale laughed and suddenly pulled her up by the knees, catching her in a reverse piggyback and carrying her off towards his bedroom.

Marina laughed, more than delighted to be bedded so thoroughly. She was grinning and out of breath, collapsed against his chest.

/ darling..../

Damn.

[Sushi]

"Yes?"

Hale was incorrigibly smug.

[Tree]

/ Maybe you're too good a study./

Cause like...... damn.

[Sushi]

"like I said - it's all about the right mindset."

[Tree]

/ I'm almost offended you are talking so easily. /

[Sushi]

Hale smirked.

"It's a skill, really."

[Tree]

Marina crawled up him, kissing him .

"I love you. "

Which the staff could guess, she was sure.

[Sushi]

"yeah, you made that pretty clear," he teased

[Tree]

She pointed out, tucking herself down.

/ Do valkyries eat? /

She asked Ephriam, kind of feeling sleepy.

[Sushi]

Hale smiled for real and gently kissed her.

"It's not bad at all."

[Tree]

She asked, even her mental tone held echos of a sleepy yawn.

Marina blushed, smiling sweetly at Hale. She snuggled him a bit. Her eyes were already drooping closed as she basked in after snuggles and gentle love.

/they're not undead./

So they ate. Apparently it was a rule of thumb as far as he was concerned?

/oh.... like, cake? /

Aww, she really was essentially a sleepy toddler at this point. He could have told her mud pies and she's probably say that those are yummy.

She'd figure it out when she was awake. She didn't need his help.
