What's Wrong With....? -Suri & Vynz's Origins

Belgian waffles with fresh strawberries and blueberries. And of course a large glass of OJ. While she let them bring Vynz's meal, too.

Absently she ate, glancing to Lyn.

" So why here? this is a whole in the wall town."

Lyn glanced about.

"You'd be surprised what passes through a small town. I'm watching the river of fate, waiting to find a raft to hop on. It'll come about. Always does."

Vynz was pushing his eggs around his plate. They didn't taste very good. And... Leena kept staring at him. And the waitress kept dropping hints to try and bait him into asking her out. He felt like a trick horse or something.

Call it pity, call it irritation that the woman would not leave, but eventually, mid conversation and all, Suri glanced up at the waitress.

" I really wish you would just leave my husband alone. I swear if you hit on him one more time, I will be hitting on you."

Watching the girl become rather flabbergasted, and stamper an apology, the waitress hurried off, glancing to Vynz, and then to Leena, she smiled slightly.

" He won't eat anyone, but stop staring.."

she prodded, attention instantly returning back to Lyn.

" Those can take hundreds of years to show up, why not track it down?"

Lyn laughed.

"You just like to jump on completely sturdy rafts. I'm not so picky."

Vynz chortled faintly to himself, eating. At some point, however, Leena had slid around the table in the round booth and was now tugging on his sleeve. The man looked at her, giving a sigh as she motioned to him. Then, the man leaned over so she could whisper in his ear. What did she want?

" call me crazy, but things that aren't going to you know.. completely give way beneath me are nice... and I like ones that have more then one board... so, yeah... I am picky -_- But seri-"

She paused as she looked at the time, glancing to Vynz now.

Hey, you... this is the last day, stop letting me talk it away... where from here?

She asked all of a sudden, remembering she needed to focus.

Vynz eyes moved to the woman now. He just stared at her for a long moment. In fact, he didn't respond to her that way at all - not that he couldn't. The man blinked a few times, shaking his head in response to Leena's whisper. Then, he pulled out his wallet, laying his part of the bill down.

"I'm going to step out for a bit."

Something about this bothered Suri, but she said nothing to it as she nodded, looking to Lyn, soon tossing her money upon the table along with everyone else's, and wondering out with Lyn.

" he's an odd travel companion."

He was teasing her lightly.

She stated simply, shaking her head. Oh, imagine the things if he knew she was a 'dancer' -_- ANYWAY, she glanced up at the returning Vynz, motioning.

" ask him."

Vynz looked up from the small grocery bag he had been rummaging through.

"Ask me what?"

"Whether you would die when you found out we are joining your merry band."

Vynz glanced between the three of them.

"I'm not playing shepard."

They needed to get back to his home, but...

Vynz looked at her carefully.

"Without bodily harm to my person?"

He pictured himself turning into a puddle of tapioca. Things went wrong sometimes...

" Yes, I've been doing this one a while."

Already runes where drawn on the ground and she sort of flicked her wrists, and stepped through the portal that lead directly into Vynz's room, herself easily sitting down on his bed.

It was sort of like looking through a weird mirror right now, as the woman waved from Vynz's bed. Oh, Lyn could tell you about the growing pains with this spell. all two tries of it -_-

Vynz hesitated. Then, he put the bag down on the ground and tentatively stepped through. Oh, that was weird. Even weirder than his sister dragging him with her on a teleport.

"I'm not sure I like that."

Suri shrugged, laying down on Vynz's bed, tossing her hair back, looking over Lyn that was sitting beside her, mischievously pulling on a thread in his pants, watching them completely unraveling.

Vynz moved away from them, ignoring the three invading his personal space. He moved into the kitchen, feeding Glob and Azul. Then, the man simply slipped out of the house.

The thread turned into a serpent which broke off so that Lyn was wearing just bermuda shorts. The guy got up, curiously looking around. He puzzled over the hourglass.

"Nice. Very nice."

" It's a cozy bungalow."

She agreed, yawning and stretching out on the bed, letting Vynz disappear. her? She opted for a nap.

Suri slept for a while, until her phone rang. Apparently she still had her job, she just got called in. Not by one of the other dancers though, by Vy herself. That was odd.

Truth be told, there was something hot going on. It involved lights and loud music and dancers and stuff... Vy was trying to levy attendance. It had plummeted, especially since people started quitting on her. Yeah, Vynz had predicted this, though, hadn't he?

Suri walked in, and wrinkled her nose, looking at Vy, whining about the lack of a real bar tender, rather openly, smacking the nearest hand.

" It's too rough in here without him."

It pretty much was. Vynz wasn't the bouncer, but he had that 'don't be stupid' air. It kept the place level. She was not about to work in these conditions, sorry Vy.

A bottle suddenly was smashed against the wall over the bartender's head, and all the people around there turned to see where it had come from. Vynz had thrown it.

Vy sighed.

"And you wonder why I don't ask him back."

Vy watched Suri go, then, after a moment, she swirled around and walked right over to Vynz. She grabbed her twin by the collar, yanking him just outside the main room.

Did you sleep with our tenant?!

Vynz's eyebrows shot up.

I... But he didn't get to finish because she cut in.

No, I don't want any excuses. I knew something was up when I found you and her out in BFE. You know better than that. This is going to blow up in our faces, and when it does - it's all on you. Business and pleasure... you know better!

Vynz opened his mouth to respond, but Evynna just shook her head, throwing an apron at him.

"I don't want to hear it. Just get to work."

Suri danced for a long while, eventually taking a break and wondering over to the bar, both eyebrows raised as she tapped the bar. They were pretty dead again.

" Your sister just told me that just because I'm screwing you doesn't mean I get a raise."

Oh that questions there were clear as she stared at him.

"She sometimes gets on a soapbox. Ignore her."

Suri smiled and took her drink, slurping away, watching as vy seemed to sort of being barking at everyone.

Vynz just shrugged.

"She doesn't like being wrong."

However, then the brother walked out from behind the bar, leaving the newbie tender to it for the time being. He walked over to his sister, tugging on her sleeve. Vy glanced up at Vynz, and the two of the them slipped out for a moment. This time, only Vynz came back. He didn't say anything, just picking up a bar rag and wiping down the counter.

"Hey Vynz, you've got two people asking for you special."

If you're requesting him specifically, Vynz had the opinion that he better get a good tip. Lyn and Leena had apparently found this bar.

"No, of course not, kiddo. I told you we were tagging along, but it was just coincidence we found you here. There was a lot of buzz about a party deal at this bar."

Vynz just mixed their drinks. He figured out where Suri got her binge from - except this guy seemed to have it with pineapple.

Lyn laughed, his drink slowly stirring itself.

"Figures."

However, beyond that, he didn't get to say anything. His attention was drawn by the way that the glass bottle shattered in Vynz's hand. The man didn't seem to notice, tensed and looking off to the side.

The other bartender just stood there for a moment before placing a hand on Vynz's shoulder.

"Hey, bro, you alright?"

Vynz glanced up at this point. He gave a terse nod before murmuring something about a migraine and slipping out from behind the bar. He left the other tender to the mess and deliberately walked straight out of the club.

Vynz was outside, kneeling over Vy. The woman was on the ground, unconscious. He was tense as he picked her up, not seeming to notice Suri. He began to walk with her in his arms, making his way down the alley towards... well, somewhere.
