I Didn't Think It Would Happen Like This

Ansel looked over Willow.

/ I'm not threatened by a woman. /

He answered simply, leaning to kiss her.

/Darling, do you want me to be your wingman?/

Yep, he was offering to let her shoot her shot if she wished.

[Sushi]

/I don't think you were threatened last time either./

Threat hadn't seemed to be the issue. Just intolerance and a need to keep her in a tall tower. Willow glanced at the woman for a second, sighing when she found that she still found the stranger attractive. Stupid hormones.

/No. You can have her if you want her, though./

Ansel looked her over, sighing .

/We weren't in the best place at the time that was all going on..../

He pointed out, watching her for a minute.

/Hey.... hormones and attraction are natural. Acting on that is up to you and I'm not gonna push you..... but I want it clear that if you find yourself interested in having another partner? It's ok. We'll figure it out. Together. /

[Sushi]

Willow picked up the cardigan she has been originally considering before glancing from Ansel to the girl one more time.

/Not to say I was really thinking at all, but I wasn't thinking about a partner./

Willow smiled a little to herself and hurried to cover it with her hand, remembering that she was married to the Darrenthrope playboy. It somehow made the situation a little bit funny.

Ansel arched an eyebrow.

/ Oh really now? And what, please share, was going through my lovely wife's mind? /

Playboy seemed extreme to him, but he supposed it was technically right.

[Sushi]

/more like a single x-rated playdate... And 'playboy' wasn't my word./

Just so he knew. It was the description said to her.

[Tree]

/Oh, playdates are something else entirely..... were you wanting to ditch me? /

He asked her, pretty amused actually. If her reservations had been because she didn't want to act in front of him, why didn't she just shoo him? Then....

/ If you're worried about me being lonely, I could find company elsewhere? /

He was genuinely trying to nail things down and understand all the things behind her choices here.... and he was amused that someone had called him a playboy to his wife's face. Kinda curious who it had been, too.

[Sushi]

/I didn't want to to ditch you!/

In fact... Willow clutched the cardigan to her chest, suddenly feeling too hot as a combination of desire and embarrassment.

/I just don't want to make the same mistakes and upset you./

Her eyes had wandered back to the woman without her realizing.

/Have you ever... Wanted more than one of us, you know... at the same time?/ She asked curiously.

Willow hadn't meant to. She'd been trying to keep it to herself, but it had slipped out anyway.

Ansel could not help his grin growing, coughing as he covered his face to hide it.

/ I'm pretty sure that's something any straight male has entertained the thought of. /

He answered carefully, letting his eyes drift over the woman in question.

/ Is that what you were thinking? /

[Sushi]

Willow was trying her best NOT to think about it anymore.

/It's kind of hard not to./

/ Well, I'm pretty sure between the two of us getting her would be rather a matter of just asking./

Which was now what he was -fully- thinking about.

[Sushi]

/Stooooop,/ she whined at him, fanning her face.

Still, Willow considered it, truly CONSIDERED it. It felt like he was okay with the idea, and between a general curiosity and the growing lustiness that her husband was only making worse, she felt like this was a tipping point of some kind.

All of the sudden, she pushed the cardigan into his hands.

/Will you buy this for me?/

She didn't even wait for his answer before she walked off towards the woman. It was a little strange to see, like a blink of the past back before she had been hidden away, back when she used to get meals for him all the time. It seemed that, for once, Willow had said yes to him.

Ansel Chicopee chuckled to himself, strolling slowly to the register. He did grab a couple things extra on his way to check out. He was prefectly up to the enticing idea of having his cake and eating it too, after all. ..... what man really wasn't?

He had a prefect little black designer bag with floral filigree all over in white.

[Sushi]

Willow emerged with the other girl a step behind.

"I can't figure out your accent. Where are you guys from?"

[Tree]

Ansel was so tempted to now use a different accent every time he spoke to the girl. He offered a dark, mischievous grin to his wife before inclining his head in greeting towards the newcomer.

"We travel frequently for my work. But currently we're from Transylvania. "

He answered smoothly, watching his wife.

/ Hotel or cabin? /

He asked her, letting her guide this

[Sushi]

Her eyes lit up.

"Like the movie? Hotel Transylvania?"



There was a second of panic before Willow gave him the tiniest shake of her head.

/You pick what's safe./

It was a need, not catering to him.

[Tree]

Ansel snickered, dark expression turning over the new woman.

"Oh, much more bump on the night, darling. "

He offered an arm to escort both to a car that he flagged down. If something went bad, cabin would be easier up manage.

[Sushi]

"well, Dracula's an oldie but a goodie. Or did you mean more along the lines of a horror film?"

She reached out and looped an arm around Willow's waist, brazenly sliding the smaller woman across the bench to sit against her side.

"Is that why you invited me over? To protect you from the big, scary... Transylvania native?"

It was both a playful tease as much as a vague question, her eyes flashing silver so briefly that it seemed like a trick of the light. The suggestion made Willow giggle.

Ansel snorted, amused.

"Hardly. "

He glanced over his wife, then the woman holding Willow. He wasn't threatened in the last. But he was rather bemused that Willow thought this was going to be a trio that they'd be both enjoying this lass. He got the strong impression that she was here for his wife.

Couldn't blame her. Willow was hot.

[Sushi]

"aww... That's too bad. Oh well, I hear they take converts too."

She glanced over Ansel.

"Though you could definitely pass for a native already."


Willow was still smiling, but it was a choice. It hid the uncertainty.

/We can always leave her in the car if you changed your mind./

Ansel chuckled, reaching to turn his wife to face him, kissing her easily.

/ I have not. But I'll keep it in mind. /

He shared, looking to the third..

"If blending in means that I'm in your company, I'll count myself fortunate. "

[Sushi]

Willow eased a little, giving his arm a little squeeze. Okay. This was still okay.

/Just don't forget about me./



She laughed even as she watched the two of them with interest.

"I meant a Transylvania native, not a Gaelic native, but that was a sweet attempt at flattery, so I'll let you have it."

Willow giggled some more at the good-natured ribbing. She was enjoying how this woman wasn't tripping over herself for Ansel's sake.

Ansel chuckled heartily.

"Well, technically born there, so I suppose it's probably a factor. "

Ansel was indifferent, he easily had women he'd had to work at, and while he appreciated what he saw, he wax most willing to give this a go for his wife's sake.

[Sushi]

The woman just chuckled as though enjoying a private joke.

"It suits you."


The longer the ride went on, the more Willow cooled internally. By the time they arrived, she was about as into it as someone watching their grandma knit. Her feelings were complex, but it was clear she had decided the previous plan wasn't happening.

Ansel kissed at Willow now, kissing her ear.

/ What's wrong, my love? /

He asked gently, rubbing her leg gently

[Sushi]

Willow leaned her head towards him.

/Nothing's wrong. You're not that into it, and that's fine. She doesn't know who we are, so we can just let her walk away, right?/

[Tree]

Ansel blinked, eyebrows arching up into his hairline.

/ Well. Yes of course. But.... willow. ... /

He shook his head.

/ I'm only reserved because at this point I'm fairly certain she's here for you, love. Which is totally fine, but I'm not going to force her to participate both directions ?/

He was also worried about ditching a woman in the middle of nowhere outside his cabin. He was considering letting her stay the night even if it went no where for her own wellbeing.

[Sushi]

Willow shook her head and squeezed her knees together.

/I wasn't suggesting that. I wouldn't do that./

Not even to you, which was the reason she had changed her mind about the whole situation.



After watching the two of them a minute, the other lady reached into her purse and pulled out her phone.

"Excuse me."

[Tree]

Ansel nodded, motioning to his wife.

"Of course. Would you like us to head inside to give you a moment? "

/ wouldn't do what, love? /

He asked, carefully pulling her into his lap.

[Sushi]

"I'm fine either way."

She was rapidly tapping away at her phone screen.



/Make someone have sex in a way they don't want./

Ansel eased, kissing willow.

/ Trust me? /

He's asked her gently, no judgement either way.

[Sushi]

/I do,/ she confirmed for him with a slight shrug, turning to open the car door.

[Tree]

Ansel shifted to let her go ahead, kissing her as she stepped out.

"I'll catch up. "

He called to his wife, being mindful to leave the car door open and waited until his wife was inside.

" You alright? "

He asked of the woman directly

[Sushi]

"I'm fine, thank you. Just letting a couple friends know where to look for my body if I disappear," she joked, even if there was a sprinkle of truth to it.

[Tree]

Ansel smirked.

"I fully intend to see you safely through the night, I don't generally bring the ones to kill back to my place. "

He joked with a shake of his head, glancing to the house as his air went rather serious if fully docile and even small. Well, as small as he could manage being who he was.

"I get it, my wife is hot.... but I want to point out you don't have to add me to have her. That's between you two? "

He was trying to be direct and still respectful.

[Sushi]

The woman chuckled with amusement.

"I'm quite aware. If I didn't want what was being offered, though, I wouldn't have agreed. Ruining tourists' marriages isn't as fun as you might think."

She tapped the screen one more time before turning it off.

"That said, I'm also aware that the vibe in here now isn't the same vibe as when I first got in."

She gestured to the car.

"And that's fine. Shit happens. Are you gonna make it weird or can I at least hang out until I can get an Uber?"

Ansel snorted.

"I would rather tire you both out. However, I might need to check in with the wife.... but I personally would feel better if you at least come inside. I'm not the only thing that goes bump in the night out here."

He chuckled to himself at his private joke, climbing out and gesturing to the front door as he held the door for her.

/ I'm game if you are, love. /

He was, whatever trepidation he'd had was ironed out with this two minute convo

The woman laughed at his comment too and went to sit down in the living room with her phone.



Willow wasn't, though. The decline in her mood hadn't stopped at the logical places. It wasn't just desire that had dried up. Her confidence and self-esteem had tanked too.

/Then go on. You enjoy playing./

At the sound of the front door closing, she jumped off the bed, not sure what to do. Obviously he'd want to use it, but... She couldn't go out into the main part of the house because they were there, and she couldn't hide in the bathroom in case they needed it. She did the only thing that made sense to her panicked brain and solved the problem by climbing out the bedroom window and shutting it behind her.

After a bit more panicking, she climbed up onto the roof. There. Good. She was out of the way. And this was better situation anyway. This would be perfect. It was the best possible simulation of what would happen when they got back to the house, the best way to practice so she'd know how to handle him and Nora.

Ansel sighed. Well that kinda killed the entire boning vibes on his end. He handed the lady a remote for the TV and let her know to help herself to whatever in the kitchen while he went to locate his wife. Poor thing....

He would silently pull her into his lap and give her a solid hug right into him.

/ I'm right here, my love./

[Sushi]

Willow ducked his reaching hands, sliding away though not out of reach. She didn't want him to be gentle and comforting right now. If he was on the roof, she'd messed up and deserved to be punished, not coddled.
