The woman was as far away as she could possibly be in the helpless position that she currently held. But by now she really didn't have enough strength to do anything.

Darryn sighed.

I suppose you'd never stop giving me grief if I didn't. But then he was in a great mood still, so the sighed faded and he flashed her a grin/

The male vampire followed pace, but when he reappeared, the first thing that he did was reach towards the wall with one hand and pat himself down with the other. He then looked up sheepishly at Ashleigh, trying to regain his composure.

Darryn looked at her rather flatline. She was making fun of him... or if she wasn't then she was getting ready to. He was sure of it.

Don't look at me like that. I'm not a kid. A bad experience makes me a little wary is all.

I don't? I must have forgotten to stick it there this morning. See, I normally put my full name, age, weight, and family tree on said forehead. He paused with a laugh. You'd hit me if I asked how old you were.

Ashleigh chuckled, glancing to the woman.

Simply don't know where she came from, so I suppose we can wait until she's well enough to go on her own, or pick a town to drop her in.

Darryn shrugged lightly, still staring at the unconscious mass, imagining the bundle trudging all the way through the snow without encountering the wolves. That wasn't even fair.

Well, yes, but I imagine that's a really long way to go for groceries. If you don't buy in bulk, you're crazy.

Darryn's little grin was fairly fixed as well too as he looked up at Ashleigh.

You grow your own toothpaste? His eyes drifted to the little mass and he sighed, reaching down to grab that thing's legs.

I agreed with you on that one. I just kind of want to spy on her afterward. Call me sadistic, but I think it would be amusing.

Darryn laughed at that one. He couldn't exactly pinpoint what was so funny, but he pictured her trying to come up with the right formula for toilet paper. The labs tests in his head were probably more humorous than what really happened, but still.

Seeing as Darryn had grabbed the woman's leg a little while back, it wasn't really that much more effort to pick her up the rest of the way. Twice in one day? Ugh... and it was going to be three after everything was said and done. The man simply looked at Ashleigh expectantly.
