Ashleigh turned around as skye bumped into her leg, looking at her distraught pup, and then to the Darryn that was stumbling along behind, confused, and not looking pleased.

Darryn almost ran face first into the woman. He swerved, tripped, and fell. However, the crystal vase was unscathed.

"Arrrgg!"

Darryn got up, placing the vase on the nearest end table. (Which looked very out of place seeing as this room seemed to be devoted to Buddhist decor.)

"Nothing."

And then it started. Darryn's whiny voice.

Darryn just sighed. Everything he did seemed to come back and bite him in the butt. The sad part was that he did play well with others. They just didn't' play well with him.

Darryn looked down at the floor now, much like a child.

"But he doesn't like me. And if he doesn't like me, then you won't like me. And if you don't like me, then you will make me miserable I'm sure."

Darryn just sighed, his shoulders slumping. He didn't say anything, but there was a certain look about him that said 'I quit'.

She said, handing him Skye, who just looked at him, disappearing.

Darryn looked skeptically down at the pup as he turned down an older hallway.

"Does that mean that I need to let you down?" He loosened his grip, hoping the wolf would jump free if that was what it meant.

Skye actually moved to rest over Darryn's shoulders, and closed his little eyes, tail hanging with no desire to move.

Darryn blinked a few times and then he laughed, scratching Skye behind the ears.

"Are you a ferret or a dog?" He was of course just teasing. The man's eyes drifted to a really large mirror and he paused in front of it. This was an odd spot for one. And this thing was huge. Monumental.

Now Skye was alert, and was off his shoulders, and tugging him away from the mirror, growling at the mirror the entire time.

Darryn took one step backwards, raising a brow.

"What's wrong boy? You afraid of your own reflection?" He glanced at the mirror.

"Am I breaking a house rule?" And then he narrowed his eyes.

"Or is this a boobytrap?" Like the dog was going to answer...

Skye started barking and growling, and attempting to drag Darryn away from the menacing mirror, looking rather determined as he rolled away with a shred of Darryn's shirt, merely to return and try again.

Darryn sighed slightly as he managed to ruin yet another shirt. This had to be a new track record for him. This was what? The third one since he had woken up? And then there was the one that had been ruined when she found him... Darryn just grudgingly held his hands up and stepped back.

"Fine, fine. Away from the mirror. Got it."

Barking with a small relief, the pup lead on and away from the mirror, tail twitching back and forth as he barked on and off again.

Darryn cast one last glance over his shoulder, his eyes brushing across his reflection in the mirror. He needed a haircut... The man followed the wolf pup.

"So... should I ask ((why can't I ever remember names?)) about the mirror? Would she tell me?"

Skye looked back at him in such a manor so as to say he'd be dumb to ask her... just think about the question... However, he merely let out a little yip, something that resembled a yes.... Or, it sounded more yes like then say... a bark would have....

Darryn, however, was not completely adept at wolf pup language. He just sighed and looked down at the puppy, following Skye along.

"Okay. We need to work out a system or something here. How about... one bark for 'no', two barks for 'yes'?"

Skye didn't even respond to him as she continued his rather cute little walk-waddle-twitch system he had going, something almost akin to a puppy strut...

Well, where they ended up was interesting ... to Skye, anyway. It was sort of like a cross between an indoor park, and a buffet... for dogs. Skye was happy....screw Darryn.

Darryn literally hit his head against the door frame - not too terribly hard, mind you. The man just sighed, and resigned himself to the fact that he was going to have to observe a doggie-daycare. The man sat down on a table and was examining everything. It didn't take too long for him to pick up a dog biscuit cookie thing and chomp off a piece curiously.

Darryn's eyes flicked to the woman, not really surprised. He cocked a brow and then shrugged.

"Nah... just curious. Bored and curious." He looked at the cookie appraisingly. "I can't decide if I like it..."

"Well... we took a little walk, stopped at this huge mirror. Spaz here took out a chunk of the shirt in effort to get me away for whatever reason." He gestured towards the hole, not pausing.

"Sorry. And then we took a long walk and ended up here."

Darryn's brow furrowed.

"Take it easy. I know his name is Skye. I was just teasing. And safe from myself? I admit that I don't always have the best luck, but..." He just shook his head, glancing at the cookie and tossed it, deciding that he could eat it but would prefer not to.

"Bored. Curious."
