If looks could kill,

you'd be lying on the floor,

you'd be begging me please, please,

baby don't hurt me no more!

If looks could kill,

you'd be wreathing from the pain,

and you'd never lie again....

Lady Ashleigh Pandora, niece of the mighty Lord Pandorre, and only sole heir to the head of the convent.(Therefore, all male vampires in the convent want to sink their fangs into the young woman.)

Sharp eyes were surrounded by high cheek bones, soft pale lips, long black lashes, and ebony hair. Ashleigh, unlike the rest of clan believed in a bit more commitment, rather then the walking orgie that most vampires seemed to entertain, with multiple partners, everyday. Not to mention, she could really careless about the precious convent title. However, her appearance merely made the young males try that much harder. Ashleigh wasn't even heir by birthright, but by turning. She'd been turned long ago, and raised up as if she were simply one of the rest.

Given Ashleigh's feeling towards relations, Ashleigh was running into issues with the entire clan... She had to have someone as her lover and right hand before she took over, but what if she wasn't there to take over?

Love is on the line I ain't about to be kind,

that's a promise and a threat,

if I was you I'd better cool it,

or risk a night you'll never forget.

Thinking she was in love, and that the vampire lord she was consorting with was in love in return, and that she had a way of escaping the current imprisonment of the convent, Ashleigh fled into the dark one night.

It wasn't true she later discovered........

I was a fool to believe in you,

a sucker for every line,

I'm a little less blind,

than I was before,

I can see right through your disguise.

Walking in on what she thought was her lover, and his harem of women, she left that night, never to return.

Now lonely for many years passed, Ashleigh resided in the mountains, away from all civilizations, and chances of more heartache.

If looks could kill,

you'd be lying on the floor,

you'd be begging me please please,

darlin don't hurt me no more,

If looks could kill,

you'd be wreathin from the pain,

and you'd never lie again,

If looks could kill.

Walking outside her stone fortress for a home, snow blowing about in every direction, Ashleigh was merely taking a walk when she stumbled across a body half buried in the snow. At first she mistook it for a dead human before she realized it was merely a very injured and blood thirsty vampires. Completely unconscious, ashleigh considered leaving him out here to let the sun remedy his problems, however, she decided against it and lifted him up and started her walk back towards home, not liking the issues this man could cause her.

At the time when the girl stumbled across him, Darryn was somewhat conscious. Her image was blurred in his eyes, but he knew that she was there. He couldn't call out to her. The pain and the cold kept him mute, and his weakness kept him still. It didn't occur to him to be surprised as his lean body was pulled out of the snow. The cold crystals clung to his short brown hair and to his clothes, melting where his hot blood leaked out. The man coughed, a bit of blood creeping from his mouth. He knew that it was dangerous, but he couldn't quite remember why as he passed out.

Carefully getting into her manor, carved out of the side of one of the mountains it's self, Ashleigh made her way to the nearest room, laying the body down upon the bed, starting to strip him of the wet and soiled garments. Looking down at the naked, cut up body, she made a small face, trying to figure out what got ahold of him to keep him from healing as would be normal as she went to get clean linens and dressings to clean him up.

The man was completely unconscious still, which was actually a really good thing for him. After what he had been through, being awake was a murder. Now that he was out of the snow, his body began to heat up, but it warmed even further, showing a fever in him. Right now his life was in the hands of a stranger.

Ashleigh returned, close, dressings and medications in hand as she noticed the sweat on the man's brow. Frowning deeply she moved to clean the cuts quickly, wrapping them to stop the bleeding.

Moving to fill her needle, she injected him with direct antibiotics, wondering what the hell this guy was thinking as she moved to get him dressed and layered to help break the fever.

Men. should let him die.

It wasn't very long after he had been moved that Darryn first came to. He wasn't in perfect coherence, though. In fact, he wasn't in much of a coherent state at all. He shifted to his side, scrunching and groaning in pain as he opened bloodshot eyes. If someone were to ask him, Darryn would quite vehemently disagree with Ashleigh's idea.

Returning to the room, she looked the man over, unable to tell if he was out or awake right now, moving to force him to drink both the glass of water, and bottle of blood in her hands, watching the liquids trickle down his throat before giving him another dose of antibiotics.

I should get rid of him before he causes problems too.

Darryn stilled and quieted after the administration of treatment. His breath evened out a bit, though his skin was still hot. That last bit had helped a lot though, his body was working on mending and the pain wasn't as bad. After a minute or so, he opened a pair of startling blue eyes and looked at the woman blearily.

Watching his eyes open, Ashleigh looked upon him for a moment before moving to gently close his eyes.

" You need rest."

Ashleigh reasoned softly, standing and leaving the room.

Darryn didn't even really need to be told. Whereas he wasn't in as much pain, he was tanked. His brain didn't want to function correctly. He definitely didn't want to move. And so as he shut his eyes, his brain shut off.

Leaving him be for about 4 or so hours, she wondered into the room to clean the wounds and redress them, re administer the antibiotics and make sure he swallowed down another small carton worth of blood and pretty much force fed him apple sauce and jello, then left the room once more.

He had only barely been awake as she went through the motions. When Darryn fell asleep again, though, he dreamt.

~He was on fire, burning. But then there was what had happened. It all played through it all with excruciating detail. And all the while flames filled him and preyed on him~

Darryn had no idea that he was shouting in his sleep, tortured by nightmares. But on the bright side his fever broke amidst the dream.

Hearing the shouts, ashleigh came into the room, looking him over and moving to wake him from his dreams, hoping that she'd not have to sedate him.

I've taken in a mad man.

Darryn woke with a start, his hand grabbing her forearm as his startling blue eyes shot open again. It took him a moment to realize what he was seeing, but then his head fell back against the bed as he tried to catch his breath. He spoke, though his voice was coarse and tired.

"Thank you."

" Don't thank me yet, now, how are you feeling?"

Ashleigh asked, eyeballing a towel on the floor, wnating to test the suffocation theory if he did that again.

Darryn just looked at her with an expression that said 'how-do-you-think-i-feel?'. Yet he forced himself to sit up. It took much more effort than he had expected.

"Like I've been run through a meat grinder." Now that he was sitting upright, he was filled with a slight vertigo and nauseousness.

Noting the look on his face she reached over and sntached a pill ( One of many) from his nightstand and popped it into his mouth, pushign him back into the down pillows.

" Set back, and what the hell happened?"

Your a guy, soemthing stupid, I'm sure.

Darryn stared up at the ceiling tiredly, squinting his eyes. Normally he would have just sat right back up, but given the circumstances...

"You've got wolves. And not the good kind." He said it like a tenant would complain to the landlord about an insect problem. He swallowed hard. "Six... and a young one." The man looked at her.

"What is your name?"

" That's not important... I should probably tell you those wolves never bother me. Your not form around ehre, are you?"

Ashleigh asked softly, already knowing the answer, wondering why you would wonder this area without purpose.

You wouldn't

Darryn glared at her. He didn't like being belittled.

"It's not like a went into the den and provoked them. You'd have to be an idiot fledgling to do that." Now the defiance lifted up in him and he sat up. He very much felt like he was going to puke, but he sat up.

"And, if you must know, no I'm not."

" Watch it or I'll throw you right out the door right now."

Ashleigh hissed softly. To do that right now would kill him, as it was sun up. She'd scare alittle if she went outside, but nothing bad, she could handle the sun, as she'd been turned during the day.... but he didn't need to know that.

" Besides that, the only reason I ask is because those wolves only attack people that they aren't use to."

Ashleigh informed him, reaching over for another shot as she casually gave it to him, forcing him back down.

Darryn wasn't gritting his teeth because of the shot. He couldn't care less about that. It was the frustration. But then he found himself laughing. The strange thing was that he wasn't sure why. Maybe it was just because of the way the world worked. He broke away as a nomad for a reason and this was where he ended up. Great.

" Don't make me sedate you."

ashleigh purred, looking him over.

" You shouldn't take long to heal now that your getting your levels back to normal. Until then, who are you?"

Darryn looked at her. He wasn't about to bend over backwards to kiss this girl's butt. Yeah, she had pulled him out of the snow, but he didn't have to put up with being trashed.

"I asked first."

" Your not in a position to demand things. I really don't think playing hard ball will work for you too well, because I could really careless what happens to you if you start this pretzels."

ashleigh informed him, in the middle of checking a large gash ( which was looking better now) that was on his inner thigh.

Darryn just gazed at the wall, completely uncaring as to what she did or said at the moment. He sighed.

"I think I might just see myself out the door," he mumbled under his breath. The man was half serious was the worst part.

ashleigh looked him over, glanced to his door and held her tongue, if barely.

" Your a rather ungrateful ass. My name is not important, to be honest, neither is your's."

Ashleigh informed him, giving him two other shots and walking out of the room, shutting the door behind her.

Darryn watched her go and then sat up again, pinching back the nausea. He pressed his hand to the fine silver chain and the crest pressing against his chest. His family crest. Not the covenant's - he didn't belong to them anymore.

He swung his feet over the edge of the bed, looking around the room and counting in his head, waiting until a more appropriate pause had passed to leave.

Ashleigh made sure the front door was unlocked, but paid no mind to the lingering wolves, as they could smell their prey in her home, wondering up to her study, leaving her ungrateful guest to his own devices.

Darryn left the room and walked out. His muscles seemed shakey, and his stomach was in an uproar. This was a strange place to live. That was what he immediately figured out. Somehow he ended up in the kitchen. He had no intention of taking from her hand, though, so he moved on. And then he had a thought and came back. He rummaged through the cabinet, eventually finding garlic. He took a clove and rubbed it over his skin. It was a gesture of sorts, a slightly rude one that conveyed a certain displeasure or wish to repulse.

ashleigh wondered don, just as her guest was rubbing himself down, and rolled her eyes.

" I wouldn't have it, if it bothered me. Is there really a reason you wish to repluse the person who kept you alive?"

I knew he should have just died out there

Darryn did have the consideration to throw away the clove instead of putting it back in the jar, though. It seemed juvenile almost - but so was flipping people off and people still did that. It was exactly the same.

"If I bother you that much then why didn't you just leave me out there? Or better. I'll lift my arms so you can just rip out my heart now." His voice was completely flatline as he dropped his arms to his sides.

Darryn was floored. He hadn't really expected that.

"Uh." He stood there for a moment, just staring at her like a dummy. But really, what are you supposed to say to something like that?

"Er." And then he sighed and stuck out his hand and spoke with a slight grumble.

"Darryn."

Darryn sighed tiredly. For a moment he thought about just sitting here, but then that sounded stupid and impossible. The man followed after her like a dog with its tail between its legs. Talk about a blow to the pride.

ashleigh turned on him once he was in the room and casually stripped him, forgetting for some reason that he was awake now, and simply forced him to set as she looked over all the wounds, looking at his face before realizing he was conscious still and then sighed.

" Sorry. Habit, I've been looking after you for over a week."

Darryn wasn't exactly objecting. He was a little confused and slightly amused, but he didn't object. The man leaned forward and placed his elbow on his knee, balling his fist under his chin: the Thinking Man pose.

"Then you must like what you see if you keep coming back." Darryn gave her a suggestive glance, but then laughed it off.

"Really? A week?" He murmured some expletive under his breath, obviously not pleased with the idea of being an invalid for a week.

Ashleigh rolled her eyes, but a smile did cling to her lips as she glanced at him.

" Meh, nothing impressive, simply something that si required to see in order to tend that wound you had on your backside. Or the one on your inner thigh... You have a scar on your butt now, might on your thigh too..... "

Darryn looked at her, dramatically placing his hand on his heart.

"Ouch, that hurts. That hurts deep." The man glanced down at himself. He couldn't really see the scar, so he didn't really care. Girls thought scars were sexy anyhow, right?
