Hunter got up then, searching her out.

"The only ridiculous idea is the one you said just now. What's wrong with me? Why don't you want to? I won't ask you why you can't, because you said that you do."

He picked her up.

"I like that. You know what comes with it. I won't warn you. But... I like that very much."

Hunter held her, looking down at her and tilting his head to the side.

She was scared, Hunter. She was waiting for you to take as much as you could and then use it to hurt her.

It's uncomfortable now.

His eyes turned across her.

Then I suppose that I best put you down.

He carried her into her room, laying her down in her bed.

Hunter bent down and brushed her hair back, kissing her forehead just once. Something about his face... There was something that he wanted to say that he wouldn't. Why? Well, that wasn't anywhere obvious, but it was simply that he knew she would refuse to listen to it.That much was obvious. Instead then, the man just drew himself up and out of her bed.

Then I suppose you're leaving me, sweetheart.

He didn't necessarily mean literally.

Naomi looked at Hunter, and the hurt that flashed, for even half a second... she looked away. That was as solid as telling her to leave now.

Naomi shook her head now, and was attempting to keep herself from completely falling apart. Everytime... Every, single...

" You do not want me to stay then?"

she asked, already considering where she would go...

Hunter had already slipped from the room. Faintly, the jingling of keys could be heard elsewhere in the house - the storeroom to be exact.

The truth might be brutal, but... Well, Hunter had his reasons. There was just little point to lying about something like that.

Naomi was torn, and she slowly climbed out of the bed, and found herself standing in the doorway. Not entering.

I am sorry for how I feel... I managed not to let it happen for years...

It really had been a battle, for those that care to know.

Hunter had by now slipped out of the storeroom with a new container of paint that he had been short on in his room. He had pushed the stool over and by now was just sitting there, painting. He was currently modifying the ocean part of it. He was working on the seabed that hid all sorts of treasures, frowning at it faintly. He was painting in coral, and hidden in the shades of blue and white and black was a pair of hearts, but you had to be looking carefully. In fact, it was almost impossible to pick out unless you knew it was there. But there was something of a virus too, something of a sickness... What was Hunter thinking about? It was hard to tell if it was good or bad.

The man didn't look up as she stood at his door.

That is too bad that you are sorry for it.

Hunter had a thick brush in his mouth, but in his hand was a very thin brush that he was applying paint with.

You shouldn't have to be sorry for living.

I am sorry for being weak. for not being strong enough to handle the concept any longer. .... Love brings me absolutely nothing but pain, it never ever has been anything else.

Hunter's eyes narrowed, but it was hard to tell if this was in response to her, or if it was for his focus on the painting.

If I wanted to hurt you, I would have done it a long, long time ago at a time when I was angry or smarting or afraid. Loving me... It's not like loving other men. Surely you realize that?

She replied faintly, watching him. She did not expect love back, to hope for such a thing was something that had been robbed of her a long time ago. She could not physically hope for such a thing. She just wanted to be permitted to love him. That was all.... But...

But I can stop, if it is a issue.

It would take work, and it would hurt, alot... but....

This time, the corners of his eyes dropped slightly, saddening. This was obviously in response to her. Hunter never looked away from the panting. In the water, he was adding in jellyfish... except some as the jellyfish got closer to the floor they didn't look quite right, and then the ones amongst the coral didn't look like jellyfish at all.

I like the idea of your love. Very much.

It was very quietly given to her. Would she listen this time?

Naomi watched him for a while, silent as the room about him. Slowly she moved and sat down beside Hunter, and watched. Why? There was nothing else to do. At all.

Hunter painted and painted. Eventually, he was halfway across the room from where he had started and much of the seascape had changed. The man then took a step back, pressing his back to the adjacent (dry) wall. Then, he just sort of slid down until he was sitting on the floor, palette across his knees while one brush was in his hand and the other in his mouth.

Naomi would move now and take the brushed, gently laying them down, and then moving the palette from him slowly, she'd brush his hair back gently. it was simple motions as she leaned in and kissed him.

" Take a small break."

Trust was offered, Hunter. Your on very thin ice and dangerous ground though.

Hunter's eyes brushed across her face, following her as she moved. However, he did not shift from his spot. He had always been the one to come to her, except for right now.

"Okay."

That was all he said though. It was spoken plainly, with no inflection of either reluctance or eagerness.

Naomi would merely lean forward and kiss him again, fingers brushing lightly over him. She knew you, Hunter. At least, well enough to know that this... This was something new to her, but she would take it either way as she gently took his hands and tugged him to his feet... Another kiss, and then tender words.

" How are you feeling?"

still a bit far from well?

she couldn't sort out how he felt versus how she felt.

Hunter eyes drifted over her.

"Not so bad as you."

Not great, but he would be fine. He needed a blood death more than anything else at the moment.

Naomi smiled slightly, leaning to merely kiss him again. Then she gently guided him back to his room.

" You still need your rest."

She stated softly, gently pushing him to sit before her wrist easily caught his fangs. She was full, she'd be fine.

Hunter pulled his head away.

"No, thank you. I'm not hungry."

He had eaten. That was why he was ready for a blood death. He never liked the idea of drinking himself into a stupor, at least not using blood. It made him feel bloated and hypersensitive.

"But rest, I'll do... unless you're going to keep killing yourself over the house?"

Naomi looked him over for a few seconds before she shook her head slowly and pushed him gently. Just to lay back down in his bed. Then her following actions were a bit more measured as she slid in with him, lightly placing her head on his chest before falling asleep.

Hunter lay there for a little while, looking down at the top of her head. Then, he gave a soft sigh and shift just enough so that he could wrap his arm around her loosely. If she didn't allow this... Well, it was just awkward to lay that way. Anyhow, Hunter fell into a light, dozing sleep.

Naomi would only nestle tighter to him when he placed his arm about her. No other response was offered from the woman... Well, until she woke, rather confused, rubbing her head.

Why? well, it was a bit of reaction, on all parties' part. She'd bitten in her sleep, his left pectoral, if anyone wanted the specific location. He'd responded with a rather uncomfortable smack to the head.

so, the woman was currently nursing bump on head, bitten tongue, and looking over the already healed spot on Hunter's chest, half glaring.

He hadn't meant to. It had been reflex.

Then again, he was sleeping, so that was something else altogether.

Hunter considered this. Yeah, people didn't normally harass him while he was sleeping.

Naomi smiled, and continued to bite at him now. Though, after a couple more times she stopped, catching herself. She honestly didn't know what his body was up to and such, so she would just roll over and onto her back.

I know. You never really have forced me into anything.

Hunter moved so that he lay with her, propped slightly so that she wasn't being squished. He warmed up to her easily upon her feedback. The man was responding entirely off of that.
