Ashleigh smiled as she moved and kissed him ( At least you could see this one coming).
" I like the fact your not quiet.... I'm quiet enough for both of us."

Darryn took the kiss with grace this time, actually kissing her back this time.
"I can fix that." He laughed gently.

ashleigh flushed slightly.
" I don't doubt that fact, either."
she replied, looking away right now.

Darryn let her fingers caught her chin so that she had to look at him.
"Gonna let me?"

Ashleigh looked at him, smiling slightly.
" Perhaps, with time."
she replied honestly, not sure what she would or wouldn't let him do at this moment.

"You have to let yourself have a little something now, too." Darryn leaned forward for a little kiss if she would let him.

Ashleigh smiled cutely and took his offered kiss, kissing back lightly, holding to his hand a bit tighter.

When Darryn pulled back, it was with a bright smile.
"See? That wasn't so bad, was it?"

" Nothing has been bad with you, so far."

Darryn just smiled and turned, looking off down the beach. He forgot about the time difference thing... So, with a thought he picked up a perfectly smooth seashell (crab-free this time) and he looked at her. They were going to have to leave soon.

Darryn looked to the side.
"Well, no... I just thought..." Well, it was a rather complicated thought. Kind of like, not wanting to force Ashleigh out of her little comfort bubble. She had saved him after all, and so (despite the now and agains) he had a general soft spot for her.

Ashleigh smiled, sweetly at him now.
" I'm perfectly fine."

Darryn flashed her a grin, pressed the seashell into her hand before releasing it. And then he darted off down the beach, towards the town that couldn't be too far. He was intending to enjoy everything that he could.

Ashleigh looked to the shell, not sure if he intended on keeping it, placing it in a bag upon her shoulder, following after him in earnest.

He sped up, splashing through the water and then treading through the sand. He jumped over a fallen bunch of trees and then fell, rolling over onto his back with a laugh as sand clung to him.
"This is great!"

Darryn opened his eyes and looked up and grinned at her.
"But it's so much fun!" He flicked a bit of sand at her shin.

Looking him over, she set her bag down, and looked him over as she slowly crawled ( in the sand) towards him, a bit on the predatorial side.
" I know other things that are fun in the sand."

Darryn looked over to her, rolling over onto her side.
"What would that be?" His brow rose in that way that suggested something.

Ashleigh grinned and sat down right infront of him, looking him over.
" Build sand castles."

Darryn scooped a handful of sand, letting it sift through his fingers.
"Only if I get to be king."

" What's that make me?"
She asked, looking at him with a little bit of a pout.

Darryn thought for a moment. He couldn't really say queen, because that would attach them. But... Then he got it.
"The pope."

Ashleigh moved slowly and kissed Darryn, squishing the castle they had already started, climbing up into his arms, covered in sand now.
" I don't wanna be the pope. He's a boy."

"Fine, I'll be the queen and then we'll be even."

" Okay."
She purred, giggling as she watched the sand fly about him, looking him over, nuzzling him softly.

Darryn grinned lightly, plucking a clump of seaweed out of her hair. He nipped lightly at her ear, though it wasn't pushy. He would take what he could, but wouldn't push for more. After all, he wasn't like a pimp or something.

Ashleigh laughed and smiled at him, feeling his teeth, and fangs graze her skin, resulting in her eyes glowing lightly.
" Watch it...."
She wasn't telling him to stop, but it could result poorly if she was finally starting to get close to him, and they did something crazy on the first close encounter.

Darryn gave it a gentle kiss, his eyes resting on her face.
"Both eyes wide open." He leaned back slightly, allowing that space. Not a pimp. He was like a prostitute, though - he did just what was asked.

Ashleigh smiled, grateful for his sensitivity to her needs at this point, kissing at his neck, letting her fingers play in the sand.
" This place is odd... and silent."

Darryn turned slightly so that he wasn't so completely pinned. His eyes drifted to the trees behind them.
"Exactly. There is no one here to find you, no one here to rule you."

" I've been on both sides..."
Ashleigh informed him, resting to him.
" Neither is too enjoyable after a while."

Darryn looked down now, a small smile growing. The man hadn't meant that, of course. However...
"A little something now. A little something later."

ashleigh looked to Darryn, suddenly wondering something. Not a surprise, considering....
" This isn't a game?"

The gentle warmth that he had been offering Ashleigh suddenly dissolved. Darryn was actually rather bothered, but he refused to show it. His expression was immediately wiped into a smile as he rolled over tickling Ashleigh.
"Of course it is!"

Ashleigh was stricken as his hands came towards her, and she deflected them instantly, eyes locking with him. For once the hurt was written over her face, as plain as the sand about them.
" ... Thank you for being honest."
Carefully she sat up, dusting off her dress, trying not to look at him now as she swallowed back her tears. This is why she hadn't tried to get close since then....

Darryn suddenly sat back, watching her. He did understand. She had been the one to cast a verbal blow on him. She was the one that had assumed he could never be serious, could never have been sincere and earnest. Everything was a game. He turned his head away as he stood up, dusting off the sand, and cursing mentally to himself. How did that work?
