Let's Play!

Hunter would hold Naomi a little tighter to himself as he was uneasy over thewhoke situation. He could just see someonecoming and causingmoe problems even after everhything that had happened. He didn't want ti out Naomi through that. Or his son either for that matiter.

Naomi was out for the count for the next two or three hours. She'd wake, hungry, and looking about, whimpering. The food they had here was less then appealing. Why couldn't they have bananas or something? You know, something she figured Brazil would have no issues with? But no... No nothing that was normal to her palate ....

Hunter looked down at her.



Mew left some Brazil nuts that he gathered?

Naomi snuggled him, kissing at Hunter softly.



No... I'm fine.

Naomi snuggled Storm, watching him nurse and feed, shaking her head. No, so long as he was fine...



Hopefully, we'll be good to go home soon...

Hunter gave a slow nod. What was he supposed to do? Force feed her?



Okay...

Naomi swallowed hard, cuddling closer to hunter. Honestly, she was worried about leaving this room, but good luck getting her to admit that.

Hunter just held her then. He would wait.



Whenever you are ready, just let me know, okay?

Naomi nodded, considering Storm.



" He might be ready as soon as tomorrow, with how fast he's perking up."

"Good."



Hunter bent down, kissing Storm.



"Sweet little boy."

Storm looked up at his father and snuggled his daddy.



" mama no"



he offered, unable to explain something was wrong with his mother and he didn't like it.

Hunter just snuggled the two closer to himself.



"Shh..."

Storm calmed a bit, looking over his mama with worry, even though he looked like crap himself.



" mama... dada..."



and out he went again.

Hunter nodded.



"There we go."

Naomi would be out shortly after. can't blame her. Both were exhausted.

*coughs*











naomi would wake hours later, just to start throwing up her own self. All over the floor. She would lose little else then blood though. Once done, Naomi would smile a bit bitterly.



Can we go home now?



She asked gently.

Hunter moved to clean her up.



Yes.



It was as simple as that. He'd move to carry her and the boy out after they were clean.

Naomi nuzzled Hunter as she stretched slowly, looking up at the centaurs that formed a circle about them. She made some kind of face as she glanced about. They all looked torn between hostility and gratitude.



Naomi shifted uneasily.



Hunter....



She purred softly, looking leery..

Hunter shifted a little bit, gathering her closer to his chest, protectively.



"Let us through."

She was trying to ignore the stomping as they all started in. The dust was starting to kick up bad enough that it was growing hard to see...



This was the last straw for Naomi. She didn't have much in her, but she sifted the small group home. They didn't have their clothing when they appeared, but no one got winnowed, so that had to be something. Either way, the woman, bruised here and there even now, would pass out upon appearing in the livingroom floor.





Max looked up and frowned, looking over the naked pile.

Hunter shifted, moving first to put Storm down against a little throw pillow that had been knocked off the couch. Then, he swept up Naomi. He moved to go get blood and regular food to feed her. He would even run a hot bath for her.

Max frowned, watching them, looking to mew.



What the hell happened down there?

Mew looked up at Max with a weary sigh.



"Hell" is exactly it.

Max made a small face, shaking his head.



" I thought you were going to keep her safe?"



max asked, rather upset to see Naomi in such a state.

Mew glanced back over.



"I... She was when I left. She got sick, but there was nothing I could do about that."

max made a face and gesture.



" Not you..."



he was soon on his feet and tapping hunter on the shoulder, barely keeping his cool.



" What the hell did you let happen?"



Naomi was still out of it, even as Hunter washed her.

The tap half triggered instinct. Hunter was incredibly tense. However, being reproached by Max right now was NOT what the man needed. His arm swung around, hitting Max back and away.



"F*** off."



O.O Holy crap. Hunter hardly ever cussed, and very rarely to that severe of a degree.

Naomi jumped and huddled tight into the tub, eyes cracking open ever so slightly.



hunter?



She was so confused.

Hunter spoke in a gentle coo to his mate.



Shh... I'm here. It's alright. Rest.



He went back to gently washing her hair.

Max picked himself up with easy, but it was clear he was less then happy as he walked right back into the bathroom.



f*** no, you dumbass! You tell me she's your's, that your keeping her and protecting her, and she comes back in near death shape, what the hell is the matter with you?





Max would have to stop at this point. Only because he was choking on a bar of soap Naomi had thrown as hard as she could into the man's mouth. She was trying to rest, but he was mentally screaming at Hunter loud enough she was catching it.

That was it. That was the last straw. Now, Hunter turned and attacked Max, tearing at him. He hadn't decided whether or not to actually kill the man, but he had already done considerable damage and removed one limb. He was pissed.

Naomi would have to bring herself out of the water now. Guys, I officially want to smack both you of you, to be clear. You could have at least done this out of her sight.



Either way, she would be out of the tub and catch Hunter's hands with her own before they could grasp and remove Max's head. She wasn't strong enough to do a single thing. She was there though. She just looked up at Hunter, eyes looking over him.



Not while your angry.



She asked simply, glancing over Hunter.



If you still want to once you've calmed, fine...



But out of anger? No.

Naomi didn't have to be strong to stop Hunter. At just a touch, his hands stopped in their onslaught. His red eyes shifted to her for a long moment of consideration before turning back to Max. He gave a growl and then spat on the man, but he stood up and swept Naomi up and away. In fact, he would horde all of the children into his room and lock the door.

Naomi didn't fight this, content to loving on her little ones before she would fall into an almost sleeping state. Almost.



Are you okay?



Yeah, worried about Hunter. He was not the rash sort to her knowledge.









Max hated regrowing limbs, but it was better then losing his head. However, it's not like Hunter had gotten away unharmed. Max wasn't exactly young either. But the damage done by a pissed Elder versus just an older vampire is rather clear. Either way, Max was cleaning up as things happened.

Hunter nodded.



Yeah. I'm just fine.



He had a couple bruises and the flesh over the top of his shoulder had a pretty impressive slice, but he didn't much care. He'd be just fine. The man reached over and gently stroked Naomi's hair.



Do you want something to eat.

Naomi snuggled and loved on Hunter.



No. Hold me.

Hunter shifted then to sit on the bed, cradling her.



Anything else?



He kissed her simply, eyes gentle.

... Storm's hungry...
