Let's Play!

Hunter's arms curled about her as he picked her up.he didn't respond to the stranger. It wasn't worth it. He just went to go take care of the woman.

Naomi clung and let him do what was needed.... mainly letting her rest.



Storm was staring at his mother when she was brought back.



" mama?"



She smelled like the funny people. he didn't like that. It was rather cute to watch the boy start crawling all over her, trying to get rid of the scent.

Hunter sat there with her, feeding here now and then.



"Yeah. It's Mama. Be gentle."

Storm would be done in about an hour, eyes alight. She would smell like Storm now, and this was acceptable to the little boy as he snuggled down to his mama. His mama. Not there's.

Hunter placed a hand on Storm's head affectionately.



"You're a good boy, you know that?"

Storm smiled, eyes lighting up a bit. Daddy liked him, too!!



" Dada!"



He purred, reaching up towards his daddy.

Hunter smiled faintly, reaching and lifting the boy to him.



"Hey there, Storm."



He nuzzled the boy, kissing him.

Storm snuggled and loved on his daddy, smiling happily. Oh, this made the little boy's day. He'd been feeling rather ignored recently.

Hunter held the kiddo without problem.



"How are you doing today?"

Storm made a small sad face and snuggled his daddy tighter. No putting him down this time, even when that weird guy walked in. Nope, his daddy. his turn to be held.



Said weird guy was the half n half man. ... said weird guy is also the same guy who'd been 'enjoying' naomi.





said weird guy set a pitch of blood down in the room then wondered off.

Aww... Hunter snuggled the boy.



"Love you."



He looked at the pitcher and would tend about that.

Naomi would wake the following evening, and refuse to work.



" I wanna go home."



she whined softly, clinging to her babies, snuggled to Hunter.







Bradly returned, looking over Naomi, holding his hand out.



" Come on, goddess."



Naomi glared, not moving. no. She wanted home.

Hunter kissed her cheek then, immensely satisfied in a sadistic way by Bradly's rejection.



We can go then.



Hunter stood up, sliding her onto his back. He worked on getting the kids and everything suited up.



"We've done all that we can for you."

Bradly frowned, glancing to the door, and hsi father and mother both woudl come into the room.



Naomi sighed, looking up at the centaur that lifted her up. She was so damned tired of this. Right here. Being a rag doll that got carried and packed about like a rabbit's foot.



" May I help you ?"



She asked through tired, gritted teeth.



the man frowned.



" You have not even been here a month, and you claim to have done all you can?"



Naomi frowned.



" Shy by a week."



She growled, smacking Bradly's hands when he went to touch her.



The man frowned a bit at naomi.



" Just finish out the month for us?"



Naomi was glaring daggers now.



" I can hurt much easier then i can help."



oh, that one was a clear threat, but it went over this man's head as he nodded and set her down.



" just help as you can."



naomi grumbled something, glancing to hunter.



Not a second longer. I wanna go home.



She warned her mate, pushing ehr way out of the house.

Hunter moved along, Storm on his side and Mew trailing along with the other children.



I can have Mew take the kids home right away? He won't winnow them, don't worry.

.. I have to be able to nurse the babies, or my chest will explode.



She offered honestly as she was already to work once more.

Fair enough.



Hunter just sighed, staying with her.

Naomi's growl as clear as she started getting mroe rough with setting bones and such.



Come get dipshit's hands off of me.

Hunter looked up from the wound he was stitching together. The man moved over, grabbing and pulling Branson away.



"How about we make a deal? Until she 'comes back' as you say... Leave her alone!"

Bradly considered Hunter, snorting.



" I didn't do anything to her!!"

"You can look. That doesn't mean that you can touch. Shoo."

Naomi was busy making people endure more pain, even as she was helping them. Yep, pushed too far. She knew how to make recovery possible and the most painful, all at once. Went against what she was taught, but in order to know how to prevent pain, you must know what causes it... she was just applying no barrier to prevent. They were on their fucking own.

Hunter was not happy, but he didn't go so far in the other direction. He just simply was there, helping her out. He wasn't going to say anything or stop her or something like that.

Naomi rested and worked rather heartlessly the last week. She was here against her judgement... and for this, Storm would fall sick again. Naomi was livid when it happened, snuggling her son close to her.



We can't risk taking this crap back up there.



She fumed at Hunter, glancing to the other children.



And if it's adapting fast enough he has a new strain, you need to get the others out of here...



she purred, not happy at all.

...Do you want me to go too? I'm not sure that you being down here by yourself is the best idea...



However, Hunter was already in the process of having Mew take the other home.

... Yes... and no.



She offered, sighing.



I don't want to be here by myself, either... but the risk of you growing sick again...

Hunter shook his head.



I shouldn't get sick off of minor mutations.

... Mew will let us know if the other children fall sick?



She asked slowly.

Yes. Right away.



Hunter nodded.

Naomi nodded slowly.



Then stay with us...

Hunter nodded.

And he would.

Naomi smiled, handing him his ill son, moving to get something to drink and rinse off in the nearby river.



Bradly never got the hint. ... and Naomi wasn't a push over, even if the strength of a centaur was better then her own. She might have gotten taken advantage of, but the boy paid with his life.

Hunter was currently trying to get the child to stop vomiting blood. He was worried about the kid, trying to put blood back in him, trying to keep him from strangling. When Naomi came back, his worried look vanished, replaced first by one of regret.



Naomi... I...

Naomi shook her head, moving to her son.



" it's alright, don't worry about it... How much has he lost?"



she asked gently, touching over the little infant.

Hunter grimaced.



"Not enough to kill him..."



He looked down at the boy.

Naomi nodded, moving to start feeding her son, visibly wincing when she felt hands lift her up. She barely managed to curl as she was slammed into a wall, keeping her son safe.



" WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY BOY?!?!?! "



Naomi looked up, growling.



" What any rapist deserves."



she spat in simple reply.

Hunter let out a snarl, moving to shove the centaur back.



"Back the hell off."

Naomi looked between Hunter and Centaur, holding her son closer to her.



Easy, love... they are very strong...



She had discovered this the hard way.

I don't care. So am I.



That's all there was to it as he glared at the man.



"We came to help you and were denied that basic humane decency?!"

The man stomped his feet, swishing his tail.



" Your woman kills my son, and your asking for decency?"
