Hunter kissed her, casually draping his arms about her waist.



I didn't think you were mad.

naomi rolled her eyes, shifting and biting him. It sort of just happened, it wasn't planned, and she seemed confused, even more so when it happened two more times.





At this point she pushed herself back, licking her lips. Oh, she got it now. well crap, it's pouring out there.....

Hunter was giving her a solid look.



Hungry?



If anything, though, he sounded amused.

Apparently.... and you taste good...



But she couldn't get full anyway, that resulted in needing bleed outs... damn regeneration.

I'm enriched with antioxidants and everything.



Hunter joked about this lightly even if it was true. He considered the woman with his crimson eyes for a moment before speaking.



If you want some, you can have it. I'm fine.

Naomi did shift now, cuddling to his chest, kissing and licking and loving for a small while before she actually bit him. Whether it was for him or her was completely unclear, but it didn't matter, did it?



She fed fast, as was her tendency, but she slowed herself after a few seconds, and clearly pushed away before she wanted to... she'd be full in about ten minutes, but that ten minutes would not be... fun.



" I can't eat until I'm full."



she complained, kissing at him to change her focus.

"I'm sorry. That's a bummer."



Hunter was kissing all over her, feeling her up a little bit - not that this was surprising. He wasn't being demanding this time, though.

Naomi shook her head, kissing and touching all over.



I am getting fuller by the moment.



She replied gently.

Hunter's mouth roamed across her.



That's okay. I like your taste too.



It wasn't like she had to be on her own in her bloodletting.

Naomi flushed and pressed tighter to him.



Good, I am full now...



And her veins were starting to bulge with how full they were.

Hunter slid his hands up under her skirt now as he bent down, nipping at her playfully.



Convenient.

Either you help or I bleed it out.



Naomi purred, kissing at his neck, tugging at him, pulling him tighter to her.

Hunter didn't have a single bit of a problem with the helping, sinking his teeth into her easily. However, he had been conditioned to her just like Pavlov's dog was to the tuning fork. Just by her mere presence, by the taste of her in his mouth, his body expected more. You give a mouse a cookie...

Naomi could not help the smirk.



Animals... animals... We're like freakin bunny rabbits or something, trying to keep the race alive.

Hunter pulled at her a little roughly, laughing faintly near her ear.



I believe you were the one that wanted sex every time a stranger climbed through your window.



He was teasing. She would know this.

Well, considering it was the same stranger at least I wasn't a slut.



She replied, growling gently against his hold.





Besides, your the weirdo that climbed into a strangers room and ate half someone's life force and then put said stranger beneath you and had them.



Well, that was true, but she had most certainly not been unwilling... And he'd be fully aware that there was nothing but observation and minor tease here.

That's not weird in my world.



Hunter was a little more pressing with his touch.



That's actually pretty normal for someone to do.

She asked, tugging at him.



Not gonna lie, no strings attached for a little while had nice appeal...



And though they were technically still that way... Yeah, she sort of clearly fancied him, and she'd made it clear she was the jealous sort, and he'd sort of stated she had nothing to worry about... so in a round about way, they were good.

There's still plenty of appeal.



Hunter now moved to prove exactly how much appeal there still was.

Naomi smiled, resting against Hunter, fingers toying over his bare chest as her breathing was leveling out.



" You know.. I was referring to the idea of no strings attached, not the appeal of the man, right?"



She didn't want lack of communication. She was trying to make sure he was clear on the no strings attached had lost his appeal... and also feeling out if he still thought it held appeal... cause if that were the case... well, she'd need to strap on her big girl panties and have a real conversation, damn it.

Hunter glanced over her.



"I was referring that the entire..."



He seemed to search for the word. Relationship seemed best, but...



"...situation had an appeal."

Naomi nodded slowly, tugging on him, snuggling up and under his arms. She would nap now, laid and fed and all. Safe, too. She kind of liked that idea, being safe...

Hunter cuddled her easily as he had for years, following suit. He would slip into a light dozing sleep.

Naomi would wake and love on Hunter lightly, trying to think.. she could hear a light drizzle now, but nothing bad at all... but the sloshing...



She opened the door to find so much land gone... and the waters near level with the cliff.



" Crap."



She commented gently, no shame in standing in the doorway nude... there was no one near.

Hunter actually got out of bed to look over her shoulder. He didn't see what she was panicking over.



"What?"

" At least three towns are under a few hundred feet of water..."



Naomi offered, glancing to hunter, moving and snuggling to him now. Damn this dark ages stuff was getting murky.

"...Hope they moved."



Hunter shifted then to pull clothes back on.



"...and that they have really good flood insurance."

Naomi sighed.



" Your cruel."





She informed him, leaning over and kissing him, shoving him over slightly as she climbed up ontop the little dwelling.





" ..... So are we swimming or do you know where you want to go?"



She asked, glancing behind the house now... not far back the area was flooded... they were essentially stranded.

"Doesn't matter to me."



Hunter shrugged. However there was another voice.



"I think you should go back to the Darrenthrope residence."



Aion was leaning against their doorframe, looking straight at Naomi's face. He didn't seem to be bothered by her nudity.

Naomi glanced to Aion, and she got that weird little feeling. You know that feeling you get when that odd cop next door comes over and 'suggests' things to you? And that cop happens to be the big brother in law you loath? Yeah, she got one of those kind of feelings, this is why the guard went up and the little woman stepped back. Why back? Proximity. She wanted this guy away.



" And your opinion matters to me why?"



she asked simply.

Hunter was eying Aion distrustfully. The man didn't seem to care very much at this point.



"Oh... what is it that you all say?"



He paused for a moment, and then remembered.



"Ah. Yes. 'Something wicked this way comes'."



Aion crossed his arms, shifting his wings so that they were curved up over his head, shielding him from the rain.



"I was sent as a messenger to tell you that you best recover what you lost soon and then put distance between that place and yourself."

Naomi glanced to Hunter now. She was already intending to retrieve that... as for where she was staying.. she didn't like the Darrenthrope's place too much anyway.



" Messenger of the gods?"



She questioned curiously. Yeah, she listened to very few people, and did very little of what others wanted.. but his words would hold a bit more weight if she could actually see something more... solid... wings meant nothing to her.

A little bit of anger flashed behind Aion's eyes - eyes that were like hers had been.



"I am not an errand boy, don't diminish me. They simply decided that I would be the best candidate to reach you."



He didn't bother to explain why.

" Why?"



yeah, he wasn't skipping out on that one.





She actually frowned.



" and I'll call you what I want if you offer no name."

Aion shifted now, frowning.



"Aion. A-I-O-N. Most mortals insist on spelling it with an E now thanks to the vowel shift."



He peered at her steadily.



"And what does it matter to you? The warning should be enough."

Naomi stared at him.



" because I have zero inclination to listen to you."



She replied simply, shrugging.



" it was given to me, my choice what was done with it. It was my choice to go where want takes me. What cares do I have the will of a stranger?"

Aion bristled slightly.



"I told them there was no point."



He shook his head, then moving. The man folded his wings again behind his back and turned away.



"Just remember, what they give they can take as well."

Naomi stared at him for a long moment now, shrugging.



" there is little left to take. "



And she could die. She knew this for fact. Take Hunter, and she likely would, just because one can't live completely isolated... not in the world as it were right now....





he was all that was left, too.





" They take what they want, anyway."

"If you wouldn't be so stubborn... You'd almost be treated like a goddess, favorite child."

" If your referring to the gods, they brought it on themselves. For being favored, I was forgotten."
