Darryn looked over at the woman who was now backing slowly away. He seemed skeptic.
"The only thing is that I don't know any royalty..." He threw a sidelong glance at Ashleigh. "Unless you want to kiss her." Then the woman turned and ran. Darryn punched his fist into the air with triumph at this.

" Not the way she'd like, but sure..."
ashleigh purred, smirking as she watched the woman bolt, waiting for a few moments before strolling off after her. And now the chase starts.

Darryn laughed lightly and walked along with Ashleigh.
I almost feel like we should count to 100 first or something.
"I can still see you." The woman darted out from where she had wedged herself behind a vanity, shooting off around the corner.

Count to a million, with how scared she is, she'll never properly hide... and she'll be a rather easy catch... if we don't get her, the castle will.
ashleigh replied honestly.

That's too bad, but fair point. Darryn did pause a minute or so to kneel down and examine his leg. Strictly a flesh wound, not serious at all, but still a nuisance. He frowned and stood back up, following Ashleigh now.
The woman was opening a random and very large trunk, getting ready to climb in.

Ashleigh sighed as she heard the thunking bellow, and looked to Darryn, taking a sharp right turn.
That was a trap trunk... no bottom... come on...
Ashleigh purred, rather depressed the woman was already falling prey to simple traps.

Darryn glanced to the side.
Then why aren't we following her? Going to sneak around and surprise her? It was kind of funny. Darryn wasn't really agitated anymore, but the girl was still a thorn in his side as far as he was concerned. This wasn't so much a payback as it was a game now.
The woman landed with a moan on the stone floor below, spent a good minute or so just crying, and then stood up to freeze. This was a very... uneasy room.

It's more fun to give her time to realize that the entire room is much the large maze.... It'll make our chase a bit more fun, too, if we give her time to start running.
Ashleigh replied, small smile in place.

The woman shifted her weight, looking up to the huge hole above and then around the dark room. There was a tiny little lightbulb attached to the empty doorframe, it was so small that in fact that she mistook it for a very bright firefly at first glance. The walls here looked like were covered in a molding slime... or greasy moss - she couldn't tell which.
The woman glanced about and then tentatively slipped through the door into another room. Her pursuers were not here either. The room was exactly the same, except there were three places lit up by little 'fireflies'. And then (just as predicted) she started to run in attempt to escape.
Darryn just grinned back.
I knew I liked your castle too.

Ashleigh smiled as she looked to the entrance into the room... or in the woman's inside('s) case, the ext, smiling at the three little doors. It was one thing she had purposely not memorized, certainly she'd walked the whole thing... but this was something that was more fun, not knowing all the turns and dead ends....
pick one, they all get you in.
Ashleigh purred, veering off left and into the maze.

Darryn for a moment considered staying by the doorway. After all, logically the woman would eventually make it out. But then that seemed neither entertaining nor sporting - Ashleigh might get to her first. So, Darryn ducked in and to the right.
Poor, poor girl. Ravaged and beaten she ran as fast as she could (which was quickly slowing) though it felt like her heart was just going to give out. When she went out this afternoon, she had never expected anything like this. BAM! The woman ran face first into a false doorway.

Smiling as she took the f,light of stairs down and through a few tunnels and in through the next doorway, she twisted and turned in the maze, having to turn back a few times, but continuing to progress none the less, muchly enjoying the thrill of the hide and go seek she was currently playing.

Darryn frowned deeply as he stood in a room that he wasn't even sure how he got to. In fact, he had managed to make it to the 'entrance' completely circumventing the girl's path. He scratched his head and turned around, trying again.
The girl was in a room that she was sure she had been in several times before, but then again they all looked the same. She was sniffling, trying very hard not to break down in tears again.

smiling as she caught wiff of both Darryns, and the woman's scent, she had to wonder how the two crossed paths, and didn't catch one another. Then she figured it out. It was a three level tunnel column.... Another one, actually, she'd ran into two or four, or something like that, so far. With a deep sigh, she picked a tunnel, and a floor, and took off... why not?

Darryn was now standing in a room that had way too many entrances and exits. No room should have eight doors and two staircases. It was just crazy. The faintly could hear sniffling, could smell everyone, but was trying to ignore it. It was much too confusing for him. Kind of like a multi-dimensional paper bag.
The woman had found a trap door. The only problem was that it was on the ceiling. However, she was determined that it had to be an exit, unlike all the other doors in this horrible place. So what was she doing? She had picked up a piece of broken stone and was trying to climb little divots in the wall with it.

Ashleigh took off, at a run.... which might have been stupid, for she ran directly into not only a door frame, but then darryn. As both tumbled to the floor, they also fell down two flights of stairs.
" Ugh."
Grunting slightly, and wincing as she looked at her wrist pointing off in a 130 degree angle, making a rather disgusted face as she grimaced as she straightened it into it's proper place.

Darryn gave a little grunt and then a pout as the woman landed on top of him, knocking all of the breath free from his chest. The worst he got was a couple of bumps and a nice jarring of his leg wound. His eyes shifted to her wrist.
"Hey, for once it's not me." Addendum compassion. "You need any help with that?"

" shirt please..."
she said, looking to his shirt he was wearing, deciding he didn't need it anymore, and that her wrist needed a wrap or brace. Not to mention, why not fall into the stereo type that all male vampires mence over helpless young girls, looking like gods while they do it?

Darryn pulled off the torn shirt anyhow without any argument. He gave her a lopsided smile and tore off excess fabric. If he wouldn't have then she would have had a nice little cloth club at the end of her arm.
"Are you going to bite me if I touch you?" His eyes sparkled lightly as he held out a hand, waiting.

" I might."
Ashleigh replied honestly as she let him go about tending her wrist, flinching once or twice, but otherwise keeping it to herself, cursing the fact she healed slower then other vampires of her convent.

"Okay." Darryn was only halfway joking. After all, it wasn't exactly offensive to bite someone. At least in most manners of doing it. After he finished with the cloth he carefully turned her hand over.
"How is that?"

" Sufficient. I'll still be working on mending the bones back for a bit, best keep it set."
she said with a soft complaint to her voice as she stood slowly, looking darryn over. He did have a decent set of abs. He might fit the stereo typical bill after all....
Now, back to the chase.

"Aww..." Darryn stuck out his lower lip, but he really couldn't hold even a shadow of a pout for more than three seconds before cracking into a grin.
"You don't suppose she's gotten out?"
She was wedged into the corner behind a little fixture hanging off the ceiling, trying to pry open this trap door and not to fall down at the same time.

" Nope, one, there is a monitor on the real exit, and the rest of the exits from this place are merely false exists.... you just end up back here."
She purred, smiling as she thought about the trap trunk that dropped you in here... there was no hope going back through that door though, it only would open one way.

"Oh, that's fun." Darryn began to walk back up the stairs.
With a snap, the girl managed to pry open the door, and with a lot of effort, she pulled herself through the hole, gasping for breath and her body aching. She looked around and found herself in a yet another horrible room with eight doors and two staircases.

" what amazes me about this place is that up is almost always the way out."
Ashleigh purred as she turned and walked off the way she'd fallen, figuring what ever, hearing noise up ahead as she walked, keeping her steps silent.

The woman let out a wimper and scrabbled, trying to find her feet but not really having the strength to stand up again. Right now she was almost willing to die.
Darryn was all the way up the stairs before hearing the faint echoes of a lot of movement. He paused for a moment then turned around, walking back down. Had she fallen down another set of stairs? Darryn was much further behind the female vampire, nowhere near caught up.

ashleigh stopped, knowing it the woman looked around, she'd see the faint glowing of her eyes... but apparently the woman had cut herself, as the scent of the fresh spilling blood was maddening.
Taking a steadying breath, Ashleigh wiated for Darryn, as she could feel him approaching. Should they now doctor her, or should they feed? .... she'd let darryn decide.

The woman looked up and let out a little shriek at seeing nothing but two glowing eyes. She crawled, sliding back into the corner as though it would offer her some protection.
Darryn walked in just as the sound was dying down.
"Mmm... she has such a satisfying scream. Don't you think?" He licked his lips as he glanced to Ashleigh.

Darryn didn't care so much. After all, it wasn't like the girl was never going to figure it out. He squatted down, grinning an evil toothy grin at the girl who suddenly seemed to be having problems breathing.
"She seems to be a little faint of heart." That'll be no fun later. Darryn had to admit that he was enjoying the smell of the blood and the jackrabbit heartbeat to the utmost degree.

there are more out there, the question becomes, let this one live, and play with it a while, or find a new one...?

Darryn seemed almost taken aback by the thought and cast a glance backwards at Ashleigh.
Let her live?! She shot me for crying... Ooo... wait... The nefarious thought drifted through his head of sending her back. No one believed this sort of stuff. They would think that she was crazy and... and... hehehe. I think I like that idea.

Darryn's eyes flashed malevolently.
Better order a double. He was going to more than allow it. He was going to get in on the party.
The woman was shaking, trying to form words in vain. She tried to pull away when Darryn grabbed her arm, after all - they looked like animals. The man wasn't deterred.

Darryn had just buried his own teeth in when Ashleigh jerked. The girl didn't like this as it resulted in a tear. Darryn didn't like this because it felt like she was trying to jerk his teeth out.
Ever thought about dentistry? He tried again and forgot his qualms instantaneously. The woman was screaming and trying to bat the two off, thrashing to no avail.

Ashleigh barely acknowledge Darryn, too absorbed at the moment with the beautiful taste coursing through her mouth and into her body. after a while, knowing she'd push it too far if she wasn't careful, ashleigh pulled back, letting the blood slowly run down her chin, not really caring as she took in the woman before her.
Pitiful.

The woman just sat there now, completely still and pale. She looked at the two with eyes so wide it seemed almost inhuman. God... please... She continued a shaky mental prayer against what she called demons.
Darryn just laughed jovially at the entire reaction, reaching out and patting her on the head. He glanced at Ashleigh and raised a brow.

Ashleigh moved and lifted teh woman with ease, turning back and wondering the way they had come. However, she wasn't about to wonder around here with no reason, so she glanced back at Darryn.
I'm headed out the easy way, you?
