" I think I taste wonderful!"

Alyson replied cutely, smirking from behind the hat that was hiding her, little eyes wondering over both men before climbing into cael's lap.

Cael chuckled lightly, stealing his hat back and plunking it back on his head. However, he felt like smacking Mason for the next one.

The thief leaned over with a grin.

"I think I would need a little convincing of that one."

Alyson spun about in cael's lap fast enough she was wondering if she'd given herself rug burn on her butt. Eyebrow arched, she smirked ever so slightly, reaching over and snatching his collar of his shrit.

Pulling Mason towards her, she smiled a bit more, whispering a faint little comment in his ear.

" You had your chance to find out."

She taunted, leaning back in Cael's lap, snuggling to his chest.

Cael actually nearly dropped the girl and found himself at the end of the whole thing, clinging to her as though for dear life. Any other way and it would have dislodged one of them for sure.

"A little warning next time?"

Mason poked the girl with a crutch.

"Booooo."

Alyson smiled apologetically, moving to kiss Cael sweetly.

" sowwie."

She purred cutely, nuzzling him, eyes wondering to mason.

" It's sad but true."

Mason laughed lightly.

"Don't get to settled in your thoughts. You'll find that things come around just like they go around."

Cael sighed slightly, noting how his right foot was falling asleep.

Alyson merely shrugged and moved to stand, looking over the man she'd snuggled close to.

" Up, up."

She purred, tugging on his arm lightly.

Cael nodded slightly. Unfortunately, what comes up must come down (especially if one can't feel their entire leg). And so he fell down, having to endure the blow to his pride and Mason's taunting laughter as the latter man also stood up, leaning on his crutches.

alyson pouted and moved over to help the man up, looking over him as she guided him carefully to his feet this time, glancing to Mason.

" hush, or I'll see how mighty you are without your crutches."

alyson hissed lightly, seeming more focused on Cael, watching him carefully.

Cael had already kicked a crutch out from under Mason. However, the man caught his balance before falling. But that was that, no love lost.

"What now?"

" I'm not done shopping :( "

Yep, she was a girl.

Cael blinked a few times and sighed. Mason, however, looked pleased.

"Great! Where to now? What are we shopping for?"

Alyson smiled ever so slightly.

" I wanna find some more clothes. I didn't bring anything from my parent's old house."

She wanted not to think of her parents, to be honest.

Cael and Mason shared a look this time.

"Who's going to carry them?" Neither of them had any luggage either, and they had both thrown away the old clothes, but you didn't seem them wanting to go a on a shopping spree. Well, you didn't see Cael wanting to go on a shopping spree at least.

" Well, I'm not an invalid."

she said with a clear pout, looking insulted as she turned from the boys now and went to tend to things herself.

Cael rushed after her. So did Mason, but that could hardly be referred to as a 'rush'. Cael was fumbling with words, halfway through before he realized what he said.

"Wait, don't get upset. We were just asking because we're lazy." -.-;

She snapped lightly, still feeling insulted.

Cael sighed, pressed his fingers to that scar on his forehead, trying to ignore the migraine that came with the killer jet-lag. And then he did something that he didn't normally. He gave up and walked off, disappearing into the crowd. Which left Alyson with Mason.

Alyson, for once, didn't seem to care as she wondered into a local little dress shop, glancing to the hobbling Mason, sighing.

" You alright?"

"As long as I don't have to wear them."

Mason picked up a specific dress for her to try on, even going through the trouble of carrying it over to her. Why? Well, he reaaaaally liked it. It was sparkly.

alyson glanced up, smiling as Mason handed her a dress, taking and going to try on the five dresses she now held, carefully letting mason into the fitting room. She was actually just worried about making him stand the whole time she tried things on.

"I think my leg is going to fall off." He glanced at her.

"That dress makes you look fat."

Okay, so alyson wasn't overly vain, but to be far upon her reaction, the only real way to make a toothpick look fat was to wear a santa suit, so she stared at him and almost cried.

" Does it really look like that?"

Yep, way to crush a girl with already the lowest self-esteem possible. she already found herself ugly since teh wreck, now fat, too.

Mason didn't realize his folly. He leaned forward.

"Yeah. It's really a stupid dress. It would even make me look fat - not that I'm offering to show. Really, what idiot designer would put two tight bands there with a big pooch in between?" He was poking a giant excess of fabric on her belly.

Yep, she actually started to cry, changing into her regular clothes and left mason with the other dresses, and in the dressing room, soon gone from both Cael and Mason, walking from the shopping plaza, to who knew where. she didn't know this town, and she refused to ride any kind of transportation.

Mason had no idea what he had done wrong. He had meant well. After all, he would want someone to tell him if he was wearing something completely unflattering.

Cael had found... well, it was like a German subway. He was sitting on the tracks, trying to focus. He had got his shots today, he could be able to hold it together. He had already missed two trains, or rather two trains had missed him. Now he was sitting there meditating, trying not to let himself shimmer. This time he would succeed. This time he would succeed. This time he would succeed.

In a little coffee shop, being comforted by one of the local men of availability, she cried into the complete stranger's shoulder, keeping possessions out of reach, learning all too well with Mason.

she felt completely repulsive right now, so any kind of attention was welcomed.

Cael couldn't explain it. He didn't feel right. He didn't feel like he should. In fact, he felt as though he had missed two treatments. It was getting worse and worse, exponentially so. It was almost as though something had gone wrong, like an antidote to the treatment or something. He was regressing to that state where he was left entirely to his own devices. Before too long, he couldn't focus. He fell apart into little teeny bits. The man was so scattered, his thoughts every which way. He didn't even feel right. He mind said he was breathing too much, but his body told him he wasn't breathing enough. And his misty shadow was blown away, on the gales of the next passing train. He couldn't focus enough to keep himself rooted.

Mason soon found himself sitting in a ditch. No joke. Someone had stolen one of his crutches. Well, 'stolen' was probably not the best word. It was a little more forceful than that. Too bad he didn't speak German and couldn't walk.

Now who was the glue of this operation?

In a rather odd state, Alyson was eventually being escorted from the coffee shop with this newly met man, ignoring the arm about her waist as she wondered down the street, small tears still clinging to her face.

Little crushed look still apparent, she didn't notice Mason in the ditch until she'd walked a block past him. Then she did a double take and was walking back towards the hurtful man, slowly.

Mason looked up at spotted Alyson. However, as she approached him, it didn't feel like a relief. It felt like an executioner walking up to him. He just stared at her, too wounded in pride to do much else anyhow. What was he supposed to say? 'Help me, I'm a pathetic worm that can't even hold on to my crutches, having only a black eye to show for the whole thing'?

alyson sighed, tears still clear as she slowly moved to help Mason without a word to him, checking him over to ensure he was alright, and then went to help him to his feet, helping him walk with one crutch and her support.

Mason actually frowned with complete seriousness, laying his crutch across her lap so that she couldn't run away.

"I would not intentionally try to hurt your feelings. I think that berating someone like that is worse than beating them to a pulp. Beating them up will make them stronger, wiser. But if you tell someone something enough times, it becomes truth to them - whether it actually is or not." Mason had a code of ethics?
