What's Wrong With....? -Suri & Vynz's Origins

Holding to him, she ignored the tickling sensation as she attempted to relax as she held to him. It took her a few moments, but as they were flying off into the ngiht sky, she did relax enough to stop worrying.

[Sushi]

Once they got high enough, he was able to relax too. There the vampire didn't have to work as hard to stay adrift, he could ride the currents mostly. There was a reason that Vynz told her to put on the coat, however. To be high enough for comfort in both flight and being unidentifiable to the people below required him to soar pretty high up. After half an hour of flying there, ice crystals had begun to form on his eyelashes and hair. It was cold up there, not that it really mattered to him. He was lost to his thoughts, just as he would be until they reached Azores, an island in the Atlantic about halfway between the States and Germany.

shivering slightly, she snuggled down to the body she rode on now, eyes closing slowly, just half sleeping-half awake, holding iron tight to him.

[Sushi]

It was several hours later when he finally began to descend onto one of the little islands. Vynz unlocked his ankles from where he had crossed them together and hit the top of a grassy hill at a run. It took the man quite a few paces before his momentum was expended and he could kneel to let the girl off.



"Doing alright?" His piercing blue eyes settled on her, frost framing surreally them by clinging to his lashes.

suri nodded, covering her mouth with a yawn as she looked him over, stretching and wiggling about, not sure how she felt about her companion, but letting it go as she bet it was sleep that was making her question her airplane right now.

[Sushi]

"Good." Vynz stood up straight now that she was off of his back, his wings suddenly turning back to arms. All the frost that had been clinging to his fuz now lay on his skin, and he reached to brush it off easily, proceeding then to wipe it from his hair and eyes.



When he glanced up, though, his eyes rested on something behind Suri. A petite woman stood there, hand over her mouth as she stared at the two of them.

Hearing an odd noise behind her, Suri turned slowly to stare at the woman, rather tempted to freeze her where she stood. Typically the motion this stranger was making was a bad sign and needed to be addressed.

[Sushi]

Vynz's eyes flicked to Suri, expecting her to react some way, hopefully in a helpful one. However, he was sort of disappointed when she did absolutely NOTHING. So, he crossed after the woman, who had turned to run away. He caught her by the wrist, pulling her back to him. She trembled with fear as he grabbed her other wrist as well.



"What are you?" Vynz gave her a surprisingly gentle smile and as he spoke his voice had change subtly, smoother with a compelling allure.



"Why are you running from me?" The woman with a heavy accent blinked a few times, staring up into the eyes that were dilated every so slightly for a minute before answering.



"That is what you do with monsters." Vynz laughed gently as though everything she spoke was perfect, speaking himself without breaking eye contact.



"What a strange dream!" Slowly, the woman seemed to be relaxing in his hold.



"This is not a dream."



"It isn't?"



"Not with monsters. It is a nightmare." Vynz cocked his head to the side, letting go of her. Yet she did not run away.



"You made the dream and you do not like it?"



"No." Vynz lifted both hands, framing her face. She felt hot against his cool skin.



"Well then you must make another. Come now, sleep." Her response was slow, almost dreamy.



"Sleep?"



"Deep sleep." Vynz had to bend to catch her as she melted away from consciousness. With a grunt, he slipped his other arm under her knees and picked her up. He glanced at Suri with a sigh. With a few steps, he lay the girl under a tree, posed as though she had dozed off.



"Aren't you glad that you're with me an not Vy? She can't do that." Not too many vampires could. It was hard to master, hard to fully understand the rules and limitations to it. Then again, though Evynna couldn't compel people to do things, she could teleport - something that Vynz could not.



The man didn't look up, rubbing his temple for a moment as he considered the girl. He had already been tired and that did not help at all. Vynz carefully took the woman's arm and made a small, light scratch across it, not bashful at all about feeding from her even if he was in front of someone else. Then again, it wasn't like he was being all disgusting and animal-like as in the movies. It looked more like a kiss to someone that didn't know better.

suri stretched a bit more, sighing under her breath.



" we might not want to be close by. I don't think it'll last as long as normal with that woman, for some reason."



It was just a feeling, his abilities, or even lack there of, were not something that concerned her greatly, just something that she was learning along the way. There were so many possibilities for vampires, one never knew...

[Sushi]

Vynz didn't even look up, and then after a minute or so it seemed that perhaps he hadn't even heard her. But then he replaced the woman's arm over her abdomen, wiping away the little droplet of blood that had escaped. He looked up at Suri with a shrug.



"You never know. Some people have stronger wills and some people have weaker ones." He paced back over to Suri, looking up at the crest of the hill they had landed on.



"I saw a town back a little ways. I don't know about you, but I could use a rest."

[Tree]

" Agreed."



She replied with a yawn, stretching and smiling.



" But I'm not walking the distance, and flying would draw loads of attention."



So, without a word she sat down and drew a rather odd looking stick figure in the dirt on the ground and tapped it a few times with ehr wand, then stepped back as the object grew into a rather massive mud ball before the mud seemed to slip away, revealing a rather clean and comfy looking Jeep wrangler, just what they needed to head back towards town, and something that could handle the terrain.

[Sushi]

Vynz snorted at the 'flying' comment. He wouldn't have done it even if she begged at this point. However, he was captivated by the magic. And then product of her labors... He clapped his hands together, smiling.



"I knew there was a reason I liked you."

[Tree]

Suri smirked faintly, shaking her head and climbed into the truck, looking to vynz, motioning him over.



" I hope it's for more then my truck, because I fear it's just a piece of dirt."

[Sushi]

Vynz chuckled, pausing before the thing. He rested his hand on the frame for a minute, testing it.



"Not so much the truck. I'm not shy - I will admit that it is comforting to know that you are capable of something more useful than jello." He was teasing, however, and climbed in with her.

[Tree]

Rolling her eyes, Suri drove off towards the town, having no issues rolling over bushes and bramble to get to their destination, looking to Vynz, as she pulled into the town.



" I do pudding too."

[Sushi]

Vynz smiled faintly, amused slightly. It was not until she saw a mother tuck her children under her arms and a father mutter something about 'must be a filthy American' that he realized what he had forgotten.



"You are still wearing my shirt."

[Tree]

Suri smiled and shook her head, sighing about men being indian givers or something like that, taking off the coat and then shirt, handing him the shirt, and placing the coat back on. Yep, he was out of luck on getting that back.

[Sushi]

Vynz looked at her, tugging it on over his head, catching her expression.



"Why are you looking at me like that? The entire back would have torn out." He sat there for a while, not saying anything. He didn't care about the coat. After all, he had been covered in frost when they landed and it hadn't bothered him.

[Tree]

" So?"



She asked cutely, now coming across as the girl she was, snuggling down in the warmth of his coat a bit more, sighing as she climbed from the jeep to make her way inside.

[Sushi]

Vynz sighed slightly, shaking his head. Maybe he should take scissors to the back of her shirt in the middle of the night, see how she liked it. Then he decided that he better not. It would probably melt his hand off or something. He stopped at the desk and asked in perfect grammar for a room. The man then proceeded to pull out his wallet and produce a few euro (it was a cheap motel), which was rather odd considering that they hadn't stopped at a money changing station. That meant that he carried around euros with him in America, where they were useless.

Already checked in, suri smiled and made her way upstairs and wasn't surprised to find that they had the rooms next to each other, or even the fact that these were conjoined rooms. Sighing, she moved to relax in her room, climbing onto the bed.

[Sushi]

Vynz walked around his room a few times, looking at everything. The man didn't normally bother with what he considered to be paranoid tendencies (ie. locking doors), however, this was one of those litigating circumstances. He locked all the locks on his door (both entry and conjoining) and windows, very carefully shutting everything up and hanging the 'do not disturb' sign.



He could not help but sigh as he looked at the bed. The man really did prefer them to say, the floor, but... Well, he liked his own best. He would even take a coffin over this open bed. For a fleeting moment he considered sleeping in the bathtub, but the thought of the discomfort lead him to his decision. He pushed the bed against the wall and crawled under the blankets, back resting against said structure.

Curling in her covered, and watching out the window in her room, Suri was a bit on the creepy side as she fell asleep, eyes wide open and staring off into the stars outside, mind long gone, every action dully noted in her subconscious.

[Sushi]

It's a good thing that Vynz didn't decide to harass her, because even he would have found that a little creepy. No, instead he waded the time through with sleep. Off like a switch and out like a light.

Waking just as she sun poked into her window, she blinked and roused without too much thought, yawning and stretching long, muttering something about the fact that people needed to learn how to behave and not be playing in the streets in the night.

[Sushi]

Vynz had to have his entire sleep, not minus a single minute. That was probably why he slept all the way through the breakfast rush, not crawling out of bed until then. He sighed, smoothing out his hair and brushing his teeth. He would go down soon enough and find Suri.

[Tree]

Setting atop a rather interesting backpack that clearly had to be a new purchase, suri was casually talking with a rather, well, interesting looking creature, apparently this hotel had been chosen for more then one reason as she conversed with the satyr.

[Sushi]

Vynz walked up behind the satyr and spied his glass, ordering the fellow a refill on Vynz's dime.



"I like you." O.o What was wrong with Vynz?

[Tree]

Suri looked up at Vynz with an odd look, watching him.



" Feeling overly well?"

[Sushi]

Vynz raised a brow.



"No more than normal." He looked at the satyr and offered his hand.



"Name's Vynz."

[Tree]

Suri didn't truly believe him, but let it go as she stood with ehr backpack, stretching slightly. Yes, she was completely ignoring the satyr that was now going on ( to Vynz) about the with and twelve kids at home and how he couldn't see how she wanted six more, and this that and the other thing.

[Sushi]

Vynz sighed internally after two minutes of straight talk. His liking was slowly fading. He interrupted at five minutes.



"Well, I there are some people expecting me. I have to go. Good luck with the ball and chain." He slipped out of the chair, giving Suri a look.

[Tree]

Suri smirked as they wondered out, turning to Vynz.



" I was gonna warn you."



She purred, laughing softly.

[Sushi]

Vynz sighed.



"Why didn't you?" However, he did not seem too put out. After all, he was a bartender. Dealing with people that didn't know when to quit was what he did.

[Tree]

" Didn't let me."



She reminded him, eyes sparkling.



" So, do we fly again today, or am I driving?"

[Sushi]

Vynz gave her a curious look.



"I am inclined to indulge you." Driving? To another country? From an island?

[Tree]

Suri smiled and nodded, climbing up into her jeep creation, tossing her backpack in the back and motioning him to climb in as she started the vehicle up and drove off down the dirt road. Eventually she came to the trees and jungle like growth once more, then the beech, then shore.



One would expect her to get out of the vehicle, or chant a spell, or something as she now was going to hit water with a mode of transportation made from mud, but she didn't.



without a glitch ( for once) she was driving across the waters with ease, watching the water fly high enough on both sides to 'hide' their form of transportation.

[Sushi]

Vynz reached out and let his fingers graze across the surface of the water.



"I must admit, this is pretty cool." He smiled at her.

[Tree]

suri nodded, turning on the cruise, and the GPS, locking in on their location and enjoying the ride as she watched the fish and water fly to the side, silently giggling at the thought of what on lookers would think.

[Sushi]

Out of entire curiosity, Vynz leaned over and began poking buttons like the radio and the a/c... just to see if they would work of course. You know, he was taking this price on his head thing pretty well.
