Slowly she moved so she was setting right beside him at his feet, still on the floor, watching what he was doing, remaining silent, not understanding what was going on, letting it be as she remained stationary.

The man's fingertips were very careful in what he did next. He flipped one switch and suddenly the propeller on the helicopter began to whir. Lot carefully twisted some knobs and the little thing took flight. As he turned the knobs, he was able to guide it around the room. In all honesty, it was pretty cool.

remaining aware of what her master was doing, victoria watched the small thing fly about, keeping her mouth closed, enjoying the show.

Lot, landed the thing at the end of his bed. Then, in what was an extreme leap of effort, the man leaned over and stuck the little box out to her.
"You do it." There was a certain degree of tension in his voice.

Looking to her master, she smiled up at him, eyes relaxing and her body following suit.
" Alright, my master."
She purred softly, taking the controls, having been watching him close enough to soon be flying it with the ease he was, smiling spreading across her face a bit more, eyes sparkling.

Lot watched the helicopter fly around. At least he knew that it wasn't one of those things that would be impossible to operate if pulled out a random box somewhere. After a few minutes, his eyes drifted to the evening sky beyond his room. It was not yet dark, the sun still hanging above the horizon.
"I am entertaining tonight. You will need to be dressed in a semi-formal way as you will be seen."

" Any preferred mannerisms?"
Victoria asked him softly, landing the helicopter as she turned her eyes to her master, not sure if the slave trade was normal around here, or if she were to be something particular, or what.

Lot waved off-handedly, not looking in her direction.
"Aside from the normal rules of society, e.g. nose picking et cetera, n---actually... If you need to address me, call me by my name." He didn't bother to explain why, but he didn't set any other real rules out. It didn't really occur to him that he had never mentioned his name to her. She might have heard his last one when he was being addressed on the plane as Mister.

Lot's eyes connected with hers in a blank stare of stupidity.
"Oh. Uh... Lot. My name is Lot." He blinked several times, clearing his throat.

Working the name in her mouth silently, she slowly smiled, and moved to kiss him ( Rather hesitantly, as she had to place a hand on the bed to reach his mouth), pulling away after a moment.
" I'll go get ready then."

Lot seemed a little stonish through the entire process. The unease in him hadn't dissolved as he watched her with an absorbing gaze.
"Do that." He stood up, leaving little wrinkles in the sheets where he had been sitting. The man stood rigid, eyes never leaving the woman, acting as though his gaze alone could force her out.

Kissing him softly on teh cheek, she slowly left the room, wondering to her bedroom and rummaging through the little things she'd found downstairs, soon working on making major modifications to like, three dresses to have the look she wanted, beaming as she was soon bathing, and properly primping, slipping into the new little number.

Lot washed up too. He was a lot simpler than the troubles that Elizabeth went through. The man pulled on a crimson button-down shirt, leaving both the collar and the first button undone. He had also chosen a pair of black slacks and shoes. After that he had made his way down past the kitchen, closer to the front door. In fact, he was going about uncovering the furniture in the formal drawing room he had mentioned on Elizabeth's first journey.

Soon finished up, hair in nice little diamond bobby pins, holding her lush spiraling chestnut lochs from her face, she smiled as she looked over her dress in the mirror, absolutely loving it, thinking it fitting for what her master asked, considering the matching necklace to the bobby pins, putting it on slowly. The wonders of rummaging through the things in that trunk...
Smiling as she finished up, Victoria debated if she should go to her master, or if he would come to her.

Lot had thrown the sheets out into the main hall and moved into the room adjoining the drawing room, but only after lighting a fire in the hearth. The man cast a glance around the room, one that was completely empty save for a large sheet-covered structure in the middle, the door he had come through, and one across the way. He grabbed the sheet and yanked it off, revealing a long dark table and at least twenty places to sit. He threw that sheet out with the others.
Lot walked through to the other side and into the kitchen behind the swinging door. After putting food on to cook, he came back with a stack of china into the the dining room. It didn't take him long to lay out place settings and light the chandelier. This was an older part of the house too, apparently one that he hadn't taken the bother to bring with some of the more renovated parts of the house. His next plan was to shove the sheets into the hall closet.

After a little bit longer of debating, she decided she wanted to find him, if nothing else, to get his okay, or nay on her dress as she wondered out and towards the sounds of noise, cheeks flushing when she saw her master. This was going to be a fun night, she was already interested in him, and now he was gorgeous all over again.
However, she slowly walked over to him, looking him over a bit more ( as he was done wrestling sheets into the closet) .
" well, master?"
she asked, waiting for the good to go, or no.

Lot huffed in exasperation as he shoved the door of the closet shut.
"It's about ti..." He had turned around and he had to blink several times before he could believe what he was seeing. The man recognized the fabric, even the general idea of the dress. For a moment he thought that he had somehow ended up in his tenderfoot days and his stomach churned. But then he saw that the dress had been altered, that the face staring at him was only Elizabeth's.
"I'll be damned." Lot stared at her for a moment, not sure whether he liked it because it was sexy or whether he hated it because he remembered the dress.

Victoria looked over her master, looking down with the way he was staring at her.
" well, it's not like you gave me a plethra of formal attire..."
She informed him, looking at her toes wiggle in the candle light, sighing inwardly. She liked the dress. Nearly loved it, however...

Lot waiting a breath's width and then met her eyes. He could handle this. It wasn't anywhere near the same as before. Elizabeth was in no way like the last woman to wear that dress. Right?
"No. I don't have a problem with it." He then sighed.
"Well, actually I was just concerned about you tempting my guests too much. But if I get to look too..." He gave a suggestive grin. Liar, liar.

Smiling slightly, perking up a bit, Victoria moved and kissed him softly.
" Do what you will once eyes aren't upon us, I could careless, my master."
She purred simply, smiling sweetly, turning slowly.
" So, with your approval, what would you like of me now?"

Lot gave her a dismissive wave.
"Answer the door." Just after he said it, the doorbell rang. But he had disappeared through the rooms to put the food out on the table.

The guests breezed right past Elizabeth. They knew where they were going. Lot stood at the head of the table, watching as they all came in and greeting each one by name.
A short, rotund man with a bald patch and a thin layer of sweat beading on his forehead: "Horace."
A tall man with a slightly upturned nose and expression that seemed to proclaim superiority: "Noland."
Noland's date, a tall, overly thin woman with lipstick that was much too dark: "Missy."
A petite blonde girl with a skittish appearance about her: "Ellie."
And her escort, an older man that looked like he could have very well been her father. "Peter."
A woman alone that looked like she might murder anyone that came within three feet: "Anna."
Two men that were very certainly brothers, if not twins: "Larry. Jerry."
Lot nodded to them all.
"Glad to see you here. I'm sure that you saw Elizabeth." Lot looked for the girl who he fully expected to acknowledge herself.

Elizabeth smiled and made the appropriate polite wave. As long as it stayed formal, he was in no danger of issues. one thing she'd been raised around without issue. Safe so long as it doesn't become strange.... as my master is prone to...

Larry's interests diverted to the girl.
"Oh. Is she your help? A relative perhaps?" Jerry elbowed his sibling in what he only thought to be a discreet manner, hissing a response.
"I saw her first." Lot sighed and extended a hand to Elizabeth.
"She is a personal guest of mine. You know how interesting the manor can be to those that have not spent a lifetime in its confines." This last sentence seemed to be directed in general to everyone, and there was a soft murmuring of assent (and what sounded very much like a few curses from the twins). Noland spoke.
"Of course, that is why we are here after all. Speaking to that account..." Lot held up a hand.
"Now, let's save business until after dinner, shall we?" He looked at Elizabeth and gestured to the seat directly to his right.

Victoria actually shot him a grateful glance and a small smile as she took his hand, easily placing herself where he silently bid, wondering how wonderfully funny it was as she thought back to all the similar situations she'd been in.... And how all the people she met could have been enslaved, and she'd never have known it... Odd how the world works.

Everyone else sat too. The spread was actually pretty impressive. Three loaves of bread, two dishes involving potatoes, a turkey, a ham, green bean casserole, fried squash, breaded okra, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, baked apples...
Missy looked at the Elizabeth with a smile that seemed somewhat disturbing on her too-tight skin.
"Oh, darling! My name is Missy. It is a pleasure to see a new face in this stuffy old place. So, where do you come from?" Horace, meanwhile, was mopping his forehead whenever he thought no one was looking. And apparently Peter had no problem picking his nose in public and at the dinner table - what was worse was that he wiped it on the table cloth.

Missy gave one of those overly feminine giggles.
"Oh! How wonderful! Me? I'm from Luxembourg. That's just a little bit due west of your own Transylvania here." Anna spoke up.
"Otherwise known as the ghetto. Only criminals and idiot live in Luxembourg." O. M. G. Anna had the most horribly nasally voice ever conceived. Each word was like a cruel and unusual punishment.
The men had struck up their own conversation. Except Lot, who was watching. And Horace, who was much too nervous to do anything but mop and eat.

Sparing only an unnoticeable glance to her master, Victoria never broke step in the small talk, trying to decide if she should keep herself completely distant, but decided bits of truth webbed with filler would have to do for now. She didn't want her master cross later, and she didn't know what was off limits, he hadn't helped with that. That being the case, she maintained...Transylvania, interesting.... wonder if vampires are here somewhere...
" I highly doubt that only criminals or idiots live there, as if that were the case, there'd be no one to commit crime against. The idiot's would not know they were being wronged, and the criminals wouldn't care. Therefore, someone of decent caliber must reside there somewhere."
Victoria reasoned smoothly. Politics for the win, right?

Anna rolled her eyes, flicking a pea across the table (poor manners, I might add).
"Well isn't someone a little smarty pants? So willing to give a little 'wisdom'... and judging by the dress you're wearing, that's the not the only thing you're willing to give." Anna's eyes dragged over Elizabeth with disgust while Missy sucked in a breath, not sure what to do.

Now Victoria looked to her master, and her temper was clear. It came with ease when insulted, however, she kept it in check, but it was clear that she would probably slice this woman to shreds verbally, and every other way if given opportunities later.
" No matter how candy is wrapped it's still candy on the inside. so why not have the best lookign wrapper? It's not my issue if one has a distaste for candy."
Victoria replied simply, silently taking a sip from her glass as she brushed the offending pea away, pretending it had never happened, only her master having caught the ' temper' looks before drilled in training had taken over and she'd let her tongue do her battling for her.

Anna narrowed her eyes, placing down her fork and nonchalantly cleaning a bit of dirt from beneath her fingernails.
"Ever notice how people just can't get enough candy? So many helpings, so many kinds... Until everything is all used up and garbage."

" You seem to neglect those that don't like it, can't have it, don't want it, Or have only one kind, style, brand, or flavor. Packing attracts some, what's inside it attracts others, sometimes it's both, sometimes it's neither. Candy is up to interpretation, and I'm terribly sorry for those that can't fully appriciate what they lack."
Victoria purred smoothly, not even sparing the women a glace, actually appearing to end the conversation as her attention turned back to the women beside her.
" So, tell me what it's really like where your from, hum?"
She purred, sweet smile in place. Shunning and smooth words, the ultimate shame, being ignored?

Lot wasn't eating, but he was pushing some food around on a plate. And as he watched, he listened. And as he listened, a small grin formed on his face. In that discreet way, he was pleased. Anna was... well... she wasn't exactly his favorite person. He loved that she was fuming and how she stood up, her chair tipping over and storming out of the room. There was a brief silence as everyone stared at everyone else, not sure what to say. Missy had an idea.
"We have lovely weather there."

Victoria glanced up, smiling slightly.
" well, lovely weather is always nice."
making the conversation more personal after that, she looked to Missy once more.
" How do you like it there? "
She continued, merely being polite, ignoring the chair still on the ground as she shifted her feet under the table slightly, catching the look on her master's face, and let her reassurance be there that she wouldn't be in trouble later as she continued her conversation with ease.

Lot didn't make any movement to try and right the chair, not making any eye contact or joining any of the conversations. Missy smiled again.
"Oh, I do fancy it quite a bit. It is a rather small feeling in a big city. You just don't find that everywhere, you know? We lived in Highsburg for a while and then a little village in Wrenshaw Valley, but I have to say that Luxembourg is the best." Lot had the intention of just waiting it all out.

It was gradual and rather unannounced as the party shifted to the drawing room. Lot lounged in a huge squishy chair.
"What do you have for me this year?" Horace reached into his pocket and pulled out a small notepad, which he rifled through in a panicky manner. The man began to read off a series of numbers with a few intermittent initials. Lot listened, if not patiently then at least with a degree of tolerance.
It was after about two minutes that Noland broke in.
"It was on that particular account that I thought I set a proposal on the table." Lot's eyes turned to Noland, a certain amount of boredom about his expression. "Well, not so much as propose something new as refresh and old one. If you were to take a small portion of the equity and place it on as a sort of dry run, we could use it as a tester for the market. From there we could judge the exact collateral needed to..." Lot's expression was darkening with each word until he finally cut in.
"No. I have told you the same thing every year that you 'propose' this. I have better things to do that concern myself with nickels and dimes. I have no interest in 'exponentially expanding my assets' as you like to call your poorly-conceived, get-rich-quick scheme." From that point on Noland didn't say anything. Horace did most of the talking with his numbers, the twins occasionally offering a comment or two, to which Lot never really gave an exact answer to.
"I think that..." And then it came, an absolutely bloodcurdling shriek from the basement. Lot just reached up and rubbed the bridge of his nose as everyone jumped out of their seats. Needless to say, they were more than a little perturbed, especially by the pounding of running footsteps that ensued.
