Let's Play!

Now the little Siren seemed to squirm. That had been a word she'd always been known to avoid, and she was never, upon threat of death going to be the one to suggest it... However.



" Would you become bored of such a thing?"

Kalan paused to think about this one.



"I don't know. I've never really dealt with it for long periods of time."

Monica seemed to wilt slightly at this. Certainly she had the ability to keep all beings interested, but forced attention just did no strike her as what she was after. Pouting for the first time in forever, she kissed Kalan and slid down and to the ground, walking off.

Kalan wasn't really bothered by this. This was part of the reason why he didn't normally say very much.



Adelle paced along beside her sister.



"...You alright?"

Monica shook her head, but looked to adelle.



" Nice dress."



she purred gently. Monica, gentle? ... Wow, she must really like kalan after all >.>

Adelle raised a brow. Then she reached over, putting her hand to her sister's forehead. Drawing it away and shaking her own head, Adelle jabbed her finger over her shoulder.



"You wanna pick out one too?"

Monica smiled slightly, shrugging.



" i think I best stick with what I have for now. I don't think a new dress will help."

"Are you still freaking about those three pounds? I'm telling you. It's not going to change how the dress fits!" Adelle gave a half-smile.

" No.. I can loose the weight."



She offered simply, watching her sister for a moment, speaking slowly.



" Why don't you have a new girlfriend?"

Adelle looked sharply away, her curls flying as she whipped her head. This was so closely tied to her breakdown earlier.



"Don't need one."

" You very much deserve one though."



yes, she could focus on her sister and deal with her own things when she was alone.

Adelle shrugged, making a gesture as though to physically brush this aside.



"You're allowed to mope around, yet I'm not allowed to get a new dress without being ambushed?"

" No.. I ... I am sorry, sister. I just wish you to be treated right."



Wow. Where the hell as Monica?



Monica then looked back at Kalan and took his hand in an abnormally light grip and sulked off down the street.

Remember how Monica was protective? Well... Adelle reached out and grabbed Kalan. How the heck she managed to shove the guy away was impossible to tell. He was like a brick. Adelle's eyes were lit with fire and winds were beginning to spin.



"What did he do to you? Did he hurt you?"



Kalan backed up slightly. The man was not thrilled about where this was going...

Monica glanced back to adelle, and shook her head, springing between the two in an instant.



" No. He pointed out something depressing, nothing more."



She quickly assured her sister, glancing up, suddenly remembering the hurricane a few years ago...



" Please calm down.."



She pleaded gently, looking her sister over.



" I assure nothing to worry over."

Adelle gave her a scrupulous look. Though the winds did not die, they did not increase.



"You're not lying to protect him?"

" If I were, I think that would give you more cause to leave him alone, but no."



She stated gently, looking over her sister, rather content to feel her back brushing over his chest ( it was warm, those winds were cold.).

Adelle snuffed and winds died. The girl was still staring Kalan warily, though she spoke to her sister.



"You know how I feel about woman-beaters. The girls can hardly walk away if they even got the chance, so if I ever find out otherwise..." The rest was left off as an implied threat.

Monica shook her head, pointedly cuddling back to Kalan now.



" no. He has never, nor do I ever, see him doing such a thing."

Kalan wrapped his two arms around Monica, raising a brow.



Adelle hmph-ed and that was it for her. She turned around, deciding to walk down the street. No particular direction but...

Monica stood there a second before chasing after her sister, barely catching her before she was squished. apparently they were in a town that was anti-human because Monica was soon explaining they weren't human. and beign forced to prove herself ( have you ever been a Siren and had to prove something like that?!?) in order to 'save' their hides. She had little to fear when in person of a group this size, but still.....

Remember that storm? It started, which was no fault of Adelle's. However, it wasn't raining on Adelle - that was her fault.



Kalan was eying a rather short boy pointing a dagger at him in disbelief. Kalan sighed.



"And what were you planning on doing with that?"

" absolutely nothing."



Monica replied. yeah, she cheated, but she wanted her man to stay man for the moment, placing the boy's dagger against hsi own throat, just to prove a point.

Kalan rolled his eyes.



"That's what I thought."



So... what now?

Monica watched the clouds above, sighing as she took a disdainful sniff and pushed the boy down, tossing the dagger well out of sight.



" You know, threatening women and a single man is not only low, it's down right foolish. If we're comfortable with just one male, it kind of implies he can either rip you in two, or we can."

The boy got hit by a bolt of lightning. How unlucky was that? Man, it was unfortunate to be him.



Kalan glanced up so see that Adelle was... filing her fingernails?

Monica sighed and looked to her sister, then glanced to the like twelve women that were around and shook her head, snatching Kalan's hand and pushing through the group/clusterfuck of people and on down the road.

Adelle hopped up and followed. Note the nice little not-raining area that followed her around. That was nice. Well, not that it was really leaving Kalan wet, but still...

Monica really didn't mind water. Siren and all that jazz, so the trio were rather content not to be followed as the group was arguing upon their exit... apparently they hadn't worked out how to handle human....



" an island in the middle of nowhere would be nice."

Adelle contemplated this one.



"Bermuda." No one went there because of the triangle.

" Oh, that would be absolutely amazing."

Adelle looked up at her.



"Why don't we go? I mean... It's not like we have any reason to stay around here."

" Cause you have no one to entertain you there."



Yep, sisterly answer.

Adelle gave her a flat look.



"I don't have anyone to entertain me here either." Fair point.

" You have a chance to get one while around here, though."

"Eh..." Adelle shrugged. How were they back on this topic AGAIN?



Kalan kicked a rock.

Monica let this fall for now, glancing to Kalan, climbing up onto his back, looking down at adelle.



" I suppose we can go there for now, look for a lady for you later. "

Kalan's hands locked behind Monica to give her some support. However...



"What makes you think that I can fly across a whole ocean?" He could, but that was beside the point.



Adelle just rolled her eyes.

" I never asked you to. I was tired of walking.... and I wanted to be on you."



Way to go Monica. Back to normal.

Adelle sniffed.



"Yeah, ever heard of a plane, superman?"
