Take My Hand
Marina sobbed herself to the point the was sick to herstomach, and her wardrobe paid the price, and she forced herself from the closet at this point, not setting in the vile upon the floor.
emerging from the closet, she couldn't have looked less like the super-natural being she now was. she was utterly terrified, a cricket could have made her run at the moment. she was shaking, she didn't know what Ephriam was thinking, but she could feel the anger rolling from him, and it scared her, and Jethro wasn't even registering.
Shaking and timid, she used her hands to hide as much of her little body as she could, even though she was clothes, she felt overly exposed as they looked upon her. She was too scared to move.

The moment that Ephriam's eyes settled on her, the reaction was so profound that it was beyond comprehension. It was as though someone had ripped his heart from his chest, leaving a gaping hole of agony. His beautiful girl so torn... And in that hole of agony there formed a vacuum, a black hole of fury so great that it seemed he would implode.
Still, the man absorbed her gestures and removed the coat that he was wearing, laying it on the floor and stepping away again. Jethro turned and placed another warm bottle, though still corked, on the floor further away, before dissolving.

Marina hesitated as she took the jacket upon the floor, not interested in the bottle, as much as she probably should have had it, eyes sparkling with more tears, wanting to crawl into a tiny hole and die, looking in the direction her entire being was now being pulled, as if someone had a string about her and could control her.
she was barely keeping herself from walking at the moment, unaware she'd taken a step in said direction before turning her eyes back to the man she loved, but couldn't bring herself to hide in his protection at the moment.

Ephriam turned his head away. He couldn't handle it. He. Just. Couldn't. He couldn't look at her, couldn't think about everything. So he held out one arm in a perfect gentlemanly gesture of release. Feel free to proceed. Go.
In some dark, hidden part of himself, he hoped that she would kill the entire town, including himself.

marina took a few steps before she started shaking her head slowly, a stronger fear gripping her as read knowledge started coming to mind, and fresh tears coated her face as she turned back to look at Ephriam, clear terror evident.
" he's calling me."
She clearly didn't wanna go, but she was even more clearly in pain as well as fear now.
Those were her first words to him since this all happened.... not the ones she wanted... but there they were.

Ephriam raised his eyes, the colorless depths seeming to flame in their red rimmed flesh. And then, in much a way he had never shown, his upper lip curled back, exposing all of his upper teeth and fangs. He spoke and his voice lost all calm, in was a snarl, barely a taste of the tempest within even though he held that gentlemanly gesture.
"I will be the death of him." And then suddenly he was standing right next to her, though he was mindful enough not to lay a hand on her.
"Give me a chance to personally drag him to the brimstone of hell's dominion and I will."

marian looked utterly terrified of him, and swallowed hard as she held to her head as she felt the pulling get harder, as if she'd be turned wrong side out if she didn't start heading it soon.
" why does it hurt?"
she asked softly, tears falling more, only knowing so much about all this... this wasn't suppose to have happened yet... she was suppose to have more time to understand.

Ephriam's eyes seemed not only to stare at her, but through her. He spat out the words with foul taste.
"You belong to him." And then he found himself throwing that broken table so that it splintered the rest of the way down the hall. His back was to her as he spoke, low and livid.
"Let go."

Marina swallowed even harder as she began to shake, terrified to the point she started shaking as if she'd fall apart, adn her skin was white enough to glow in the dark as she could no longer stop her feet, tears coming harder and faster.

Ephriam turned, and as creepy as it was, he stalked along behind her, seething. It wasn't like he hadn't done it before, but still... There were a lot of things different about this time.

every inch of her wanting to fight, she found herself at a rather creepy looking mansion, walking in the door and right up two flights of stairs and down a long hallway, to where the man in question waited, her every limb shaking.
He didn't waste too much time as she appeared, smirk clear upon his lips as the touched every bit of her, starting with her neck, easily ripping the material from her body. As much as she wanted to fight back, she couldn't

As much as Marina couldn't fight, that was twice as much Ephriam could. The man entered, and there was not a hint of mercy, not a single sparing of pain, that dared to enter his mind. Marina was his. This tenderfoot probably didn't so much as know her name. But that girl was one that dear ol' Eph would not only die for, but kill for. Cue the feral animal.

watching the offending male fall without too much effort, considering her really was relatively new and didn't know too terribly much what he was doing, Marina was holding her head. Why did she hurt from him dying?
Crying, and shaking, she looked up from her spot on the floor, in clear pain and totally scared of him. He'd not only never been like that infront of her, but he'd also never had so much anger rolling from him, she felt she'd drown in it.

Ephriam turned to the see the tears. He knew that she would, but... He... The hole where his heart had once been throbbed. The man stood there for an eternity, trying to grip himself, trying to breathe enough so that he could push away some of his own tension. But he just couldn't do it. The man knelt down. He looked at the clothes and thought that some could be salvaged, but then he knew that he didn't want her wearing anything that putrid creature had touched. However, he had already given her his coat. He then pulled off his shirt, holding it out to her a full arm's length and palm up so that she could snatch it without touching him. But he wished that she would, as if crawling into his arms would somehow make everything alright.

Slowly she reached to him, not knowing what to expect as she took the offered clothing, slowly pulling it on, her head hurting so bad she wanted to scream, throat too sore to do so as she noticed her hand still lingered in his, not sure what to do at the moment, so she left it there, shaking even with their light touch.

Ephriam remained stone-still for a minute, acutely aware of her touch. He forced himself to say something.
"Can you stand?"

" It's my head...."
She said softly in reply. Certainly no help on some fields, but enough to get by that she understood. In real response to his answer, she stood on wobbly legs, clearly needing more nourishment, of both kinds as she still held her head.

Ephriam's eyes drifted over her, appraising her. He held that hand but took several steps closer. He reached out, his arm circling around her though hovering just enough so that it did not touch. The man looked at her, anger dulling ever so slightly, just so that pain could step up a bit.
"Would this be permitted?" He waited.

Honestly, Marina wanted to say no, but her head wouldn't stop hurting, so she merely nodded slowly, both hands on her head now, why was it hurting?!?

Ephriam did hold on to her, though very lightly. It was only so that hopefully she wouldn't run when he performed his next action. He slipped his hand away from hers and ran a tooth lightly along his forearm.
"Empty calories." He tried for a bit of humor in quoting what he had once said, but... it was just dry. "Just to tide you until I can get you something real." He shook his head.
"Only a little or you will have the same with me as him." That was what he wanted but something now seemed... well, a lot of things now seem wrong.

The entire problem with telling a starving person only a little, was, well, it never really worked. Once latched on, she had probably done some decent damage to his supply before his words sunk in, but the sincere part about her actions was that she didn't pull away. She did love him, she was just scared of her own shadow right now.

"Stop." Ephriam found that he actually had to wrench his arm away. He was filled with that dull physical pain as he released her. Well... now she had done it. He tried, but... Oh well. The man flexed his fingers as the arm healed up. He blew air out hard from behind pursed lips.
"Still thirsty, I bet..."

Marina merely looked at him. She was like a little infant vampire at the moment, she barely knew how to function. As for his comment, she actually did nod this time, wanting out of this place first.

Ephriam stared for a minute, having the strangest sensation flash across him for the briefest of moments. There was hate that this was the way it was. There was pain that this was the way it was. But then there was a faint flash of thrill that this was the way it was.
"I am returning home." His words held a sort of melancholy. "Would you like to accompany me?"

Marina merely held upon his hand and let him lead.
" .... I don't think I'll make it on my own."
Her throat hurt...talking hurt, walking hurt...

Ephriam took her hand and considered it for a minute.
"I think you will now find flying less displeasing..." It was actually a question. He didn't take liberties. Everything wasn't alright.

Ephriam paused for a moment at that statement. He wasn't sure about it, wasn't sure that she should feel that way. Still, he didn't say anything, sighing internally. The man held on to her hand as he unravelled himself. Unravelling and carrying a vampire was a lot easier than doing it with a human, but he didn't linger. Eph generally liked 'flying' but right now he just coudn't bring himself to enjoy the pleasure. In a blink of an eye they were right back in the hall outside her room, and he was considering the corked bottle. He wasn't sure that it would do. By now it was cool, but on the other hand it was human. She could use human. But maybe taking her out was a good idea. Ephriam just stood there wordlessly gazing away from her.

Marina, however, was out of it enough, even in those few moments, that she wobbled and fell on her already bruised butt, merely wincing slightly. Why weren't her bruises going away like his did?
She was having a hard time understanding all of this as her body felt starved, and her head still ached. Luckily, the headache was going away as she felt herself casually drawn to ephriam. Not like the unbearable draw from the other guy, just merely like a string reminding her he was there.
victoria swallowed and looked to stand up. After a long time in each pose of getting to her feet, she managed, looking wiggly as she stared at Ephriam. Why was she so hungry?

After a while, the man finally looked at her. He had made a decision. Even with her weakness... He figured that this would be a good thing. Maybe a little hunting would ease the nerves, heaven knew that his could use all the help they could get. He swallowed, running his tongue across his teeth.
"I can carry you if need be?" He didn't ask if she was squeamish or tired or anything. He remembered how he had been, and his patience was shot.

Ephriam peered at her for a minute. His voice was flat, if though calm.
"You will be doing anything but." Suddenly, perfectly on cue, Jethro appeared.
"Can I join you two?" Ephriam didn't say anything, simply opting to open the door and walk out. Jethro glanced at Marina, let his eyes appraise her and then flashed her a toothy grin.

Ephriam looked at her, and he did something that was completely natural to him. It didn't occur to him that it might startle her.
I know. You will need your hands. With that he released her hand and walked off. Jethro laughed lightly and followed towards the forest. he was hoping, and had a feeling that Ephriam might be interested in big game.

marina looked to her hand, then watched him walk away. Well, she had been following him, until the scent of fresh human blood hit her nose. It was hard to explain what happened next, or even how she got there, as she was certain she'd walked.... but she doubted it considering how quick it was.
Marina was shortly standing before a could that had fallen down drop off in the forest, and were scuffed up and bleeding. However, it must have been a pretty flimbsy relationship as the guy ran off and ditched the wounded woman. marina didn't care. She carefully pinned and held the woman as instinct took over.
Suprisingly, it took mere seconds to nearly drain the woman, but she stopped, somehow. she was still starving, but feeling better as she watched the woman, breathing and passed out at her feet.
Licking her lips, thoughts not her own at the moment, she merely went in search of more....... it was like she was a blood sucking leech at the moment.

Ephriam was beyond shocked. She stopped. Not that it really mattered. After all, there was a sort of unspoken rule about interfering with another's feeding. Still, Ephriam did make a point to teach the newbie one tiny thing.
"After you are finished, tear it with your teeth so that it looks like a cut. Avoid suspicion." He didn't bother to demonstrate, figuring that she would do it on her own. After all, he didn't like to tempt human blood. Even looking at this pitiful woman... In unison, both his and Jethro's heads snapped in another direction. Apparently they weren't the only predators looking at the wounded woman. A huge mountain cat. Zoooom. Eph won that round. He caught it before Jethro, happy with the wrestling and finally overtaking his prize.

Marina hardly nodded when she heard his words, but otherwise, behaved as she lunged from him, soon upon the next unsuspecting little person, surprised by her brutality as she slammed the man into the tree to keep him from hurting her, latching on as if her life depended upon it.

Ephriam and Jethro proceeded as well, leaving her to her business. After all, that was her own.
As they took care of the carcasses of their kills, they looked at each other for the first time that night. Then, wordlessly, Ephriam stalked off, seeking out the girl. He wasn't one to say anything about how she hunted, but he intended to at least make his presence known. The man felt like he could run forever anyhow at the moment, as he was beginning the process of filtering the adrenaline-pumped blood that he had taken.

Carefully Marina pulled herself back from the man, looking at the limp being, and the tear marks in his neck, hunger now sated as she gingerly tended to him, so that he'd not be bothered by animals for atleast a day or so. Stepping back, Marina looked down at her hands, not sure how she felt about what she was, tongue carefully running over her fangs, eyes wondering the darkness with more ease then she'd ever experienced. This was all so new... she knew nothing of this world she now belonged to.

Ephriam was actually leaning against a tree, watching her. At least for now, all of his anger had been replaced by the thrilling sensations of the hunt and the feed. He was not in a perfect mood, but still was better off.
"Finished?" He was just being a wordy man tonight.
