And then Lot gave up. He turned her hand over so that he nails were pressed to his wounded chest. The man folded his hands over top of hers, though he did not push down.

Victoria slept for about five hours, maybe longer. Snuggling to the bed, she slept contently as she woke, taking a while to realize where, and why as she looked over Lot, sighing softly as she looked at the sunburn, pretty much healed up now, moving to kiss at his neck and chest ever so lightly.

Lot turned his head to the side, seeming rather distant. He didn't even seem to be enjoying the absorption of her affection. In fact, he seemed like a piece of furniture.

Victoria slowly stopped, looking him over, eyes sharp as she looked to him.

" Master... Why do you hide from me?"

It wasn't in a literal sense, she was trying to understand why he was hiding himself emotionally. He normally at least enjoyed her attention.

" You at least used to enjoy my attention."

She said softly, dejected.... Had this taken from her the one thing she could get from him...?

Looking confused, she considered him.

" Waiting for what?"

She asked softly, kissing and touching over him, nestling a bit closer to him. She didn't understand, and he was starting to hurt her feelings.

Victoria looked up at Lot, and kissed him again, looking him over.

" Then focus on me. Focus on what I am currently offering. I want your attention, you normally enjoy it, so let me have you for a few minutes."

Victoria sighed, stopping, looking crushed.

" Why won't you let me have this one thing of you... I know you don't love me, but I use to at least feel like I mattered some... Now your taking that from me too? Why can't I have one thing.... All I want is one little thing."

she looked him over, and nestled down closer to him.

" I use to be something of at least arousal to you. Is that gone also? Why are you thinking your going to die?"

Lot continued staring up. The Orionids had faded, but it was still night.

"You are going to kill me." That was all he said. he didn't respond to her accusations or anything else of that manner.

Meanwhile, Dessa was sleeping in a armchair.

Victoria stopped, taken back, eyes locked on him, turning him, forcing him to look at her.

" I could have killed you, several times. Since I was turned even, I have had numerous opportunities to take a stab at it. I haven't. I won't. LISTEN to me. I won't ever hurt you."

She said softly, looking as if he'd crushed her, looking away, tears upon her face.

Victoria froze as she looked up at him.

It wasn't a request, and he knew what she was referring to... her tone didn't leave room for his games right now.

Lot didn't care. He was really honest in his beliefs that secrets were pointless at this point. His eyes never drifted from the sky.

"I wasn't born a vampire. This was the bed. The bed where I was turned. The bed where I killed her."

Victoria looked at him, heart starting to hurt.

" The one you could love. "

She said softly, pulling from the bed now, looking at him, swallowing hard.

" I won't hurt you. I understand your thought process. "

she said gently, and left the room, still in tears as she set down at the foot of the stairs, longing to die again as she held herself.

" why did I have to be the second string. The one that doesn't matter..."

Lot followed not too long after, but he didn't go after Victoria. He squatted down by the sleeping Dessa. As sneakily as he could, he reached for her right glove. The second his fingers barely contacted the fabric, the woman quite literally punched him in the face. Lot fell back on his butt with a bloody nose as the girl sat stock-straight, waking up.

"What the hell?!" She pulled her hands to herself, running her fingers over the tattoo on her hand.

Victoria heard the noise, walking to it, looking over the two, swallowing slowly.

"Lot..."

She looked him over, then looked to Dessa, walking to the woman, pushing Lot back, tears still falling as she helped the woman up.

" He's being stupid. I'm sorry. "

she was hallow. Her emotions were flooding out of her faster then her life had.

" I was being stupid too... being stupid to think I could ever be happy."

swallowing slowly, she looked over Dessa now, taking the girl with her, whether she wanted to come or not. Leaving Lot on his own.

" I don't care how you kill. Listen to me carefully. I heard what you said. I know that you don't wish to kill me, but listen carefully when i tell you, I have nothing to lose now. If you will not release me from this hell.. then I'll force you into a position where you have no choice. ... I have nothing to lose now."

She reinterated, looking to the woman, emotions slowly leaving her eyes, aside from pain, swallowing slowly.

Dessa didn't fight back. After all, she kind of liked Alexi. However, when threatened, she took a few steps back. Her voice actually sounded something about the same as bored.

"I really don't like it when vampires threaten me. That doesn't at all mean that I'm about to pounce and kill you, but I just thought you should know that I don't appreciate it. And, though, I decided you were trying to be congenial, I am beginning to change my mind. My I have my shoes before I leave?"

Lot's voice drifted from the doorway.

"Funny isn't it? Not even a day has passed and yet you are holding your superiority to the throats of others." That was almost an I-told-you-so.

Victoria looked up.

" I can't even have what I had before. I had at least a little sliver of hope then. Now I have nothing. I am denied everything."

She informed him, looking him over.

" Unlike killing you, I want to die instead. Where you killed her. I'm killing myself."

Looking to Dessa, she sighed and looked over the woman.

" I like you. I don't know why, but I do." Sighing, she looked Lot over. " I love you. You don't even want me now."

Looking off, she sighed and looked to the ground, and looked her hands over.

" If you'll not do as needed, then I will. "

She sighed and walked off from him, and the woman, looking to Lot as she stopped on her way out.

" I gave you all of me. I gave you more then you could buy. I gave you more then you could hope for of me.... and you can't even give me a sincere kiss on the cheek."

She swallowed and left, the only thing reflected in her eyes was pain as she walked out to the back of his house. So what did it matter if she killed herself? Another vampire gone, Dessa did her job, Lot was alive, and free... and she was released.

Lot didn't have a problem catching up to her, even if she were a vampire. The man snatched her by the arm and spun her around, his lips all but crashing into hers.

"I got burned." He kissed her again.

"Then I made a mistake." He kissed her again.

"So I'm waiting for my retribution." His kissed her AGAIN.

"And now I'm letting you go."

Victoria was surprised by the first kiss, but the following ones she welcomed as she slipped into his hold a bit better to catch them, looking up at him now, not sure what to say, aside from what slipped from her lips, the pain still there, but starting to actually mix with other feelings.

" Don't."

She pleaded of him softly, looking up at him now.

Lot looked down at her with eyes that seemed to pour out patheticness.

"I have to. There's not much else to do. But I really have been trying to keep you safe, alive. Just thought you should know that. Being accused of things I didn't do is a pet peeve." He pulled back from her.

Dessa meanwhile was pulling on her shoes, not enjoying the squishy feeling around her toes. Come to save a human, end up with a baby vampire and a moderate case of hypothermia. Great.

Victoria looked to him, eyes soft as she held to him, moving to kiss him lovingly, nuzzling him softly.

" I don't want to be left alone. I'm your's ... Let me chose where I am. If I'm free. Let me chose where to be. I want to be here. I want to be with you. Let me have that. Give me the chance to be with you, in the house, as we've been..."

She said softly, looking him over, pleading with him gently, the desperation clear in her voice.

Lot sighed slightly, glancing back to the house.

"I am not going to try and stop you."

Dessa was currently staring into the shoe closet, debating over several things. First, would they notice if a pair of size six shoes went missing? Second, was stealing really that big of a deal considering that she murdered people as a way of life? Second - addendum, should she kill any of the vampires she had seen recently? (Maybe Kyle... depended on how bored she got.) Third, if she put her shoes in the place of the taken pair, would it really be stealing?

Victoria looked him over, and moved to kiss him again as she snuggled up to him a bit more, looking him over as her head rested to his chest, hands holding to him as his grip on her remained iron tight.

" Thank you, master."

She purred gently, cuddling a bit closer, perfectly happy in his arms, until she sighed and realized something.

" Is she still in our house?"

She asked casually, walking back towards the building, unaware of Kyle that was currently standing behind Lot.

Kyle let out a soft growl as he looked over Lot.

" What the fucking hell have you done?"

Lot just sighed at Victoria's question. She should know just as well as him. He had no sooner muttered a 'yes' as Kyle spoke. Lot turned around, his eyes resting on Kyle. He frowned.

"What does it look like?" Somehow, it was quite as vindictive as it should have been.

" How bloody fucking blazing hells dare you?"

He snarled as he watched the girl walk form him, looking at the house, considering shredding Lot at the moment.

" She's now going to be twice as attached to you as before. Now she's going to lock onto you like a lost puppy."

He hissed vehemently.

" How do you expect to handle an ever servant little sex slave now? Your saddled with ehr for all eternity."

The last bit didn't sound so vindictive, actually, it as almost jealous.

Victoria found Dessa, and smiled and walked over and hugged the woman, kissing her on the temple.

Then she pulled back and moved to get the woman's shoe, looking her over.

Lot just simply blinked.

"I guess that gives even less reason for you to be here." He was slightly upset, but he couldn't quite work up the will to be vehemently angry at him.

Dessa was startled, however, she just stood there. She looked at the shoe bashfully and took it into her hands. She had decided that she would just exchange them, but now that she had been 'caught' she couldn't go through with it. She stuck them back on, feeling the squishiness between her toes.

"Thank you."

He hissed softly, fists clenching and unclentching.

Victoria took in the woman, sighing.

" You don't have to leave. I'm not going to hurt you. I don't see Lot doing so either, cause if he had planned on doing so, he'd already have tried..."

she said softly, sighing as she loked the woman's dress.

" You really ot to put on dry clothes and shoes."

She commented, waiving to the shoes and dresses before heading back to check on Lot, stopping in the doorway, watching the scene going down between lover and former friend.

Lot looked at him steadily. It was almost as though he was surrounded by little bubble of even temperament - very unlike Lot.

"I saved a woman that refused to be captive to you."

As the woman, Dessa murmured something about preferring not wanting to. Her clothes were only still damp anyhow... The girl shifted back and forth before settling down on the floor in front of the fireplace. She unlaced her corset, opening it up and laying it out flat on the floor. The inside was lined with various slayer paraphernalia that glinted in the firelight. However, it let warm air permeate her lace underdress.

Victoria watched the two, and walked upstairs and changed, ears tuned to teh conversation taking place bellow her, her icy blood starting to boil, pulling on some clean clothes as she pinned her hair up in little spiral curls.

Walking down in her cute little strappy white and black shoes and a sweet short little dress as she walked passed Dessa and back to the doorway.

Kyle growled, looking him over and clenched his fist a bit tighter.

" I'm more forgiving then you could ever have been to her."

Now Victoria growled and walked out to Lot, slipping into his arms, looking to Kyle.

" But he's more enjoyable then you could ever dream of. Not to mention, I've never asked for your forgiveness."

She purred softly, snuggling to her master a bit more.

Victoria defended him, so Lot didn't really see any point in opening his mouth. He played with the little ties on the back of her neck rather absently.

"I think I'll go inside. Have fun." He walked off, and almost ran straight into Dessa, who had just about given up. She didn't feel comfortable sitting half undressed long enough to dry out. So she had borrowed a simple strapless dress to wear under her corset. This one was a black cotton with jagged bottom.

Victoria exchanged words with Kyle for a while before there was a soft screech, and Victoria ran through the house ( and managed to slid under Lot, and leap over the coffee table and not knock Dessa over) with a rather crazed Kyle on her heels, Victoria too gentle to actually hurt back. Vampire or not, she'd not raise a hand to him.

" Run all you'd like, I've got the upper hand."

What a man, crazed by jealousy, and now by her defiance, he was beyond rational.

Lot watched her go. Wait a second... Threatening her? That wasn't supposed to be what happened. Threatening the only thing that was good in his house. Something about that was rather... upsetting. On a sudden impulse, Lot tripped Kyle.

"I told before. You are not welcome in my house." And now he wasn't burdened.

Kyle snarled at Lot, able to tell where Victoria run, as it was the same way as they'd gone to Lot's room, his eyes flashing as she stood and looked Lot over.

" I'm not after you. I'm after that ungreatful little rat you've decided to keep."

Victoria was currently hiding in Lot's bed in the sheets, curled up tight.
