Naomi pondered this over for a while.



Why me?



She asked Hunter gently. Back to not understanding.

Hunter gave a small smile then, moving by her. The man turned off the heater, picking it up and bundling to cord to put it back into storage.



You are nice to me.



Though it was something far, far more complicated than that.

Naomi swallowed, shaking her head.



I have had no reason to be otherwise.

Hunter now was throwing the blankets into the wash.



The fact you think that is enough to prove my point. It's just part of something that I find very attractive, something that you have.

Naomi moved to Hunter, stopping him as she looked him over. She smiled and kissed him now.



I will not claim to understand, but I will have you know I am glad to be your's.

Hunter smiled lightly.



Alright, but you don't have to be. I'm not going to tie you down and sit on you or something if you change your mind.

Naomi looked at him for a long moment.



" You won't come for me."



she stated gently, seeming to take it for what is was as she nodded. Alright. She kissed him, stepping back and moving to chase after Thalia. The cub seemed a bit.. off.

Hunter's smile faded and he sighed to himself. That wasn't what he said, but he wasn't going to fight her over it. Actions mean so much more than words anyhow. Words could be lies.

Naomi climbed up into Hunter's bed.



That being how you feel, do you feel I lie?

Hunter ducked into his closet to get clothes before sliding into the shower.



No.



Simple as that.

Naomi smiled now, nestling into his bedding, slipping back to sleep slowly.



I have no reason to. Love you.



End of that. No, she was not going to rub it in his face. It was more one of those falling out kind of thoughts that just escapes you.

Hunter would let it be. The man would change clothes... and after a series of events, he would end up sitting in the kitchen, drinking though not heavily. He was still using a glass.

Naomi woke to the smell of alcohol, and would eye it warily, and consider Hunter.



" Did something happen?"

Hunter glanced up at her.



"No, why?"



He hadn't even drunk the whole bottle. Purely recreational.

Naomi said nothing for a minute, seeming to decide whether or not to proceed. She just shrugged and moved away now.

Hunter watched her.



"Do you want a glass?"



He might as well offer.

Naomi glanced up.



" Sure."



When in rome or something like that.

"Wine or hard liquor?"



Cuz he had the hard stuff out, but he kept a bottle of wine in the fridge.

Naomi thought about this a moment.



" What kind of hard?"



she was not a wisky girl. Tequila, jack, fine. Rum... eh....

Hunter gestured to fridge, which he had temporary stocked up here. There were four more bottles in it. They were all the same thing.



"Vodka."



He liked brandy or wine if he was just drinking to drink. He like vodka if he was wanting a buzz or true drunkenness.

Naomi nodded now. Vodka would work. This is why she moved and absently filled a glass, then causally sat down. On the floor, on the edge of that kitchen livingroom divide.

Hunter watched her as he finished off his bottle.



"Afraid I'll bite?"

Naomi smiled.



" Hoping for it."



She replied absently, glancing to Hunter, frowning. Perhaps the liquor relaxed her enough for the next question.



" So do vampires get ED ?"

Hunter had been rocked back onto the back two legs of the chair, his feet on the edge of the table as he considered his glass, which he had gone ahead and poured another drink in to. The man had already drunken just enough for her question to surprise him a little... which was just enough to cause the following scene. The chair tipped too far back, falling over. Both Hunter and his drink spilled all over the place with a clattering. After a moment, his head poked around the edge of the table and he stood up.



"Ehm..."



He straightened his clothes.



"No. Not unless that was a pre-existing condition before they became a vampire, and even then it should vastly diminish in frequency."

" good."



No further comment. Just one of those random book worm kind of questions. Well, until the next came.



" Unless it's designed to harm us, is there much out there that will?"

"Wood."



Hunter answered immediately.



"Wood poses a particular problem."

" aside from that. I figured that out the hard way."

"Wood and holy water are just about it."



Hunter shrugged.



"Wooden crucifixes and coffins disrupt. Ah. Actually, coffins disrupt my kind. Yours, no."



He gestured offhandedly.



"Excluding slayers and all of their tricks as well."

" ........... Seriously? So that chick was being for real?"

"Yup."



Hunter nodded.



"They breed and train and recruit on the Isle of Mann."

Naomi stared.



" Hah!"



She giggled now.



" That twit was right!"





Dead twit, twit none the less.

Hunter stared for a while.



"...Huh?"

" Oh, she had some big spiel about being a slayer and meant to help the gods and such and she killed a vampire.. then she tried to kill me, and acted like it was so horrid big deal about me defending myself and being a god's child I should be alright with dying to purify myself, ect, ect, ect. "



She laughed out, offering to Hunter, pausing for breath.



" What kind of crap do they feed those kids?"

"Wheatgrass."



Hunter shrugged then, back in his chair now.



"They're one of the five balancing classes, so you know... Doctrine is important to them."

" I think it's something better."



Naomi offered, smiling and climbing into the alcohol covered man's lap, kissing him.

Okay, Hunter was a little bit buzzed, which was really all that he had been looking for. As it turns out, the man could pull liners with the best of them - and apparently being buzzed loosened up this aspect.



"Not as good as what I've got."



He kissed her.

Naomi flushed slightly, kissing him back.



" I think you need to leave the vodka alone now."



She teased.

"I'm alright. I can still run without breaking my neck by slamming into a tree."



That had actually happened...

" That is like saying your safe to drive cause you can stay inside the white lines."





She teased, kissing down his neck.

Hunter laughed.



"I didn't say anything about driving, now... That's something else entirely."



He was sober enough. But he was buzzed enough too.
