Willow smiled at him.

"Just enough, apparently. "

She considered his face as she mustered a little courage.

"I like that you like looking at me. "

Between the conservation with Taylor and this moment with Willow he was back up and ready to go, watching her.

" I love looking at you. "

Shyly, willow smiled at him and then arched her back, puffing her boobs and tummy out a little.

"Tada."

Ansel grinned, moving to kiss at her.

He praised, pressing a slow trail of kisses down her chest as he openly admired every inch of her.

"Once the children are grown we could be clothing optional and I could enjoy this view forever. "

He praised against her stomach as he placed more kisses there.

Even though she recognized it as a flirtation, his words still hit a sour note inside her. For a moment her stomach clenched against the thought of them being grown, and she chastised herself for the pain she couldn't squelch. However, after a second, she cupped his face, trying to steady herself.

/ I'm not always going to be this person, / she told him quietly, acknowledging the brokenness she couldn't hide.

Willow took a deep breath. She was already a different person than who she had been even just a few days ago. If she could feel so different towards him in a short time, then maybe the impossible hurt would eventually change too.

She couldn't hope for or believe in that yet, but she had managed to claw enough determination together to at least grasp the concept of a future. Maybe if she said it, that would make it true.

Ansel shifted slowly, sitting up and kissing her.

"Could be a few hundred years before that happens, too. I happen to like the little grubby faces around the house and crayon on our walls. "

He traced a finger down her jaw, over her collar and down over her breast, slowly drawing circles about her nipple.

He loved you, Willow. He was not rattled by her hurt or drop, but rather affectionate and tender with her. He understood her mood change, he didn't feel to blame or ashamed of his want of her this time. .... it was easier to handle it all being given such an insight.

Willow didn't engage the larger thought. That was too much. However, she rolled and tackled him.

"They're not grubby! They're cute!"

Her offense held a barely restrained smile.

"Take it back or... or I'll do something terrible."

"No, no. Nothing terrible!.... they're definitely grubby.... but a cute grubby?!"

He offered in a hopeful compromise.

She blew a raspberry at him and leaned across him to grab her shirt. She stuffed her hands in the arm holes and paused, looking down her nose with her best attempt at ominous threat.

"You sure about that?"

"You would really house your prefect image from me? "

He asked in feigned horror, leaning forward to place a kiss right between her breasts.

He tried, slipping fingers into the back of her shirt with intent to remove it again. Keep the tatas free.

Pretty much anything she said so he could keep her fully available to enjoy, tracing his fingers up her abdomen.

"Perhaps we'll just have to have a few more of the cherubs you claim we've got. Maybe if we have enough I'll be lucky enough to see this angelic behavior you claim of them. "

He teased with a gentle kiss as he tugged her right back into the bed with him.

Willow let herself fall against him, squeezing her arms around him in desire of comfort more than passion.

"I know you're joking, but saying things like that just makes me sad."

Sure, she had to pause before she could say it, but she was able to tell him nonetheless.

"Why? Because I talk about more someday? "

He asked her tenderly, lightly cupping her cheek to bring her eyes to meet his.

" Or the fact I'm teasing about them not being cherubs? You know I'm teasing... but I will stop if it's hurting you. "

"I don't mind the teasing."

Willow met his eyes only briefly before lowering them again.

"It's the more part that hurts."

Ansel kissed her forehead, pulling her to hide in against his chest.

"Because of wounds that still hurt, or because you don't want them? "

He asked. The second half felt much more personal fear than accusation

Willow sank into his arms, curling even her wings up tightly.

"Because I want them too much," she whimpered.

It too complicated. She didn't know how to make sense of what she felt and how she could feel so many opposing things at one time. It was confusing, and it hurt.

Ansel softened as he pressed soft kisses to her.

"Someday we'll have more littles you'll get to watch and live with everything you are for every moment. I love you. "

He adored her so. He really believed more was to hairbrush someday, too.

"You're safe here. I'll never take them from you, never again. "

He could not lie if he wanted, the truth poured from him in waves.

Willow sniffled around the confession, her grief growing oppressive despite his support.

"My mom has grown kids, love. She's also pregnant again. There's many many years in our future, Willow. We've got this. "

He soothed.

Willow just shook her head a little.

"I'm still sad. "

"I understand. I can sit with you in your sad."

But he had been trying to give her a small snippet of hope.

"Really?"

"Yes. I love you, Willow. Sad, mad, happy, and all. ... might kinda stink at showing it, but it's still the truth. "

He reassured, kissing her forehead.

" Do you want me to stop bringing it up? "

Willow curled in closer.

"You don't have to show it," she murmured. "I can feel it now."

She closed her eyes, thinking about the question.

"I don't know?"

"I don't think you should let me off the hook. You should let me keep fumbling until I start showing you properly. "

He whispered, nuzzling against her.

"That's alright. We can figure it out as we go. I'll try to let it be for a bit?"

"Well, I can't stop you from fumbling, " she teased around a sniffle.

She just managed a little nod to his suggestion. That sounded doable.

A rather loud crash down the hall had him waiting to see what was up as little voices and shrill giggles echoed about. He didn't feel alarmed as it went on, whatever happening wasn't a threat at any rate.

"Mr. Darrenthrope, I'm terribly sorry to disturb you," started the woman on the other end of the line.

"However, your daughter needs to go home sick today, and I believe that she might particularly benefit from you coming to the school to get her personally."

Her words were underlined with measured strain.
