I Didn't Think It Would Happen Like This

[Tree]

Ansel paused, glancing to her. He was trying to decide if she was cold or if she was wanting snuggles. He decided to place the blankets on the bed near her and step closer to offer open arms. Then she could get which she wanted.

He apparently had forgotten his capabilities for words.

But before she could have accepted the posed hug, he disappeared and returned with a discovered chocolate covered oreo package.

"This is yours. "

If she wanted it.

[Sushi]

Willow's momentary shock at having what she wanted stolen away right before she could touch it faded when he came back. She smiled at the box.

"That's so sweet."

She set it on the bedside table for the moment, though.

"But I want you more."

[Tree]

Ansel smiled and climbed in to tuck her right into his lap against his chest.

"I'm right here. "

[Sushi]

Willow turned in his lap so she sat facing him instead.

"What's going to happen when we go back?"

[Tree]

Ansel kissed her, looking her over.

"Back home? "

He asked, holding her easily.

[Sushi]

Willow nodded a little, hooking her hands behind his neck.

"I know that if you bring Taylor back it'll be enough to distract most people from the real secret of why we came here, but... Yeah?"

[Tree]

Ansel smiled at her, kissing her again.

"Other than finishing moving you into our room? No major plans. As far as the children we'll just say we took a trip for mom and dad. Same for Nora, they don't need details. "

[Sushi]

Willow toyed with the hair at his nape.

"Okay... You're not disappointed?"

[Tree]

"Why would I be? I'm bound with my wife. She's mine forever. She'll be back in our room like she should be. You're even supporting my very pathetic "can I bring her home" mentality. "

[Sushi]

"because I'm sure it's not what you had imagined?"

Willows brows shot up.

"I've never stopped you from having anyone you wanted."

[Tree]

"Well yeah. ... but I should probably admit that I anticipated that changing with us being bound? Like...."

He shrugged.

"If nothing else I figured I'd feel more opposition from you. If not vocalized? "

[Sushi]

Willow drew back some, eyes going a bit weary.

"Inside, I'm not the liar you all believe me to be."

[Tree]

Ansel flinched at the words.

" I didn't mean it that way, my love. I was prepared for what I've seen before. Not implying you directly would slight me in any manner. "

[Sushi]

She let her hands slide down to rest on his chest. She was just worn on that front, not upset.

"I think everyone needs a lot of things to be true in order to be happy," she told him with a shrug.

"I can't be everything."

[Tree]

"I love you. "

He reminded her, turning her to look at him..

"I don't go to anyone else because your missing something. You know that, yeah? "

[Sushi]

Willow shook her head some, feeling like me might have missed her point. She actually didn't feel insecure about this. It just was what it was.

"No, you go to someone else because YOU'RE missing something. Something you need to be happy."

[Tree]

Ansel flinched again..

"I'm sorry."

While she had been rather fact based and he couldn't argue it in the slightest, he felt like somehow this was bad.

[Sushi]

"don't apologize for nothing. Like I said, people need a lot of things to be happy. And, if being happy feels good to you, then you should get as much of it as possible."

[Tree]

Ansel looked at her tenderly, kissing her.

"You're happiness is more important to me. So if something, or someone? Ever makes you unison, will you at least talk with me about it? Even if you don't want me to change it? "

[Sushi]

"why?"

Willows brows pinched together.

"What's the point in making you feel worse about something that isn't going to change and probably shouldn't bother me in the first place?"

[Tree]

"There's nothing wrong or right if it does or doesn't bother you. That's a personal thing. ....

But talking to me would ensure we don't have any misunderstanding between us over things. Or if there's something bothering you that could readily be soothed? I don't want any of my other daliances to cause any sort of heartache for you. "

[Sushi]

"okay, but this really isn't a problem."

[Tree]

".....I do believe you. I really do. "

But he also wouldn't blame her if it changed. He kissed her twice more.

"I'm wanting her for both our happiness, though.... I think she offers something we could flourish with. "

[Sushi]

That was the only part that made Willow feel apprehensive. She still couldn't come to terms with the "always and forever" he kept offering her, and that was something she wanted. She was afraid of Taylor, so putting that much stock into her was a huge ask. It wanted more than just the moment of bravery it took for a tiny bit of exploring.

"I'll try not to let you down."

[Tree]

Ansel cupped her face, pulling her in to kiss him.

/ You can not let me down so long as you keep being true to yourself. /

[Sushi]

Willow slid her hands under to either side of his neck so she could hold him too.

/That's more complicated than it sounds./

[Tree]

/ Well. For now we can just focus on today? /

[Sushi]

Willow eased at his suggestion, shifting up onto her knees and kissing him.

/I think I can do that. I don't think who I am will change that much in just one day./

[Tree]

/Mmmhmmm.... how are you feeling?/

He asked, fingers skating up her thighs now in a flirtatious little tease, grinning as kissed down her neck.

/ You know.... it's been ridiculously long..../

Especially for them since becoming one.

[Sushi]

This time Willow's body didn't leap to attention as though in overdrive like it had been, but a soft pleasure warmed her skin a bit. She enjoyed his kisses for a moment.

"We should fix that," she decided.

"I don't want you feeling neglected."

She gently pushed him down, going with him. A little stress relief before their meeting at the very least.

Well Ansel wasn't gonna complain no matter how he got it.. he was a dude.

He was soon enough getting cleaned up, shaving, dressing down properly as he casually went to put on his shoes. It was about that time. He was feeling a tidbit anxious about this really. He didn't know why Taylor was dragging it out instead of just saying whatever and the impending shoe drop felt ominous.

[Sushi]

Willow glanced at him as she buttoned the cardigan up over her jeans and bralette.

"You can always change your mind if you don't like whatever happens. If you want, I can be the one to give her the boot so you don't even have to lose face."

[Tree]

Ansel glanced to his wife, tension rolling from his shoulders.

"The unknown is not something I'm a fan of. "

He explained in an apologetic tone.

[Sushi]

Willow studied him for a minute before drifting over behind him and sliding her hands up over his shoulders. She pressed against the tension.

"It'll be okay. I can do this part, so you can step back if you want. I live in the unknown."

[Tree]

"I just can't really gage if she's pulling my chain or if this is something that's gonna hit too hard....."

He placed a hand over one of her's, finding comfort in her support..

/ Together./

Whatever they did it would be both of them deciding.

[Sushi]

Willow considered it.

"It's okay. There's no way to have all the cards before going in. And this is a small risk. We are in public and we can run fast."

[Tree]

Ansel looked up at her, smiling.

/I don't think we'll have to run. More likely just have to handle some really crap feelings. /

He imparted honestly, not entirely sure how his wife would hand his much lesser internal thoughts or feelings.

[Sushi]

Willow shrugged, mouth turning up at one corner.

/I'm passable at running away from those too,/ she teased softly.

[Tree]

Ansel smiled at her now..

"I am ratherly poorly at handling them sometimes."

[Sushi]

"I can take it."

Willow slid her hand into his.

"If it's this important to you, though, i hope it works out."
