I Didn't Think It Would Happen Like This

Ansel coughed and went big eyes a moment.

"I do not think it is the same as my penis. At all. "

He looked so startled. Poor innocent lamb. Still he reached out to touch her feathers in absolute astonished wonder. He was actually looking for a feather that needed preened out or a pin feather that might need be freed. Curiosity was killing him. His turn to play poke and touch?

Willow relaxed with the pleasantness of the sensation. The closest comparison was a scalp massage, but it wasn't quite the same. There was a sort of deeper satisfaction that came with the flood of oxytocin as he groomed and pet her. He'd find it even easier to identify which pin feathers were not ready to open, since Willow could feel them as too sensitive, and removing unneeded ones was like satisfying an itch. Before long at all she was very noodly in his lap, her mood having shifted to something cozy and affectionate.

Ansel was full on fascinated, glancing down at her.

He couldn't help how happy he was.

"mmmhmm," she agreed, now resting with her chin on his shoulder and her eyes closed.

"I'm just glad you're not totally grossed out anymore."

"I... dude if I had any idea it felt like this....."

whatever reservations he had were so far gone. He shifted a bit and opened her wrong gingerly, trying to fan it out and keep Willow close.

Willow chuckled softly and turned her head to press a kiss to his neck.

/I told you it felt nice?/

Lifting the appendage out of his hand, she turned to sit with the front of their torsos touching, her knees folded back under her to either side of his hips. She then gave her wings one shake to settle any askew feathers before draping them loosely around the both of their bodies.

She wiggled her hands in between them so her fingers would stay warm.

/Though I would argue this is better than a massage. A massage just helps your body feel better. This makes my insides feel better too./

Ansel glanced to her.

Willow shifted so that the bridge of her nose was tucked against the curve of his neck.

She would find him ducking down to kiss her lovingly, nuzzling his nose against hers.

"Gosh I didn't get it. "

Willow folded them up behind her.

"That's what I was talking about earlier when I mentioned that our bodies are really different."

[Tree]

Ansel smiled a tiny bit apologetic, hugging her rigght to him.

"Yeah... I was too distracted earlier about the fact you believed me.... that you finally knew I loved you, too. That I wanted you. "

[Sushi]

Willow was perfectly content to be his snuggly baby doll.

"I was trying to look at the whole thing."

Ansel nodded slowly.

"I tend to go one step at a time..... and that one mattered most to me. "

[Sushi]

Willow was quiet for a moment.

"I don't know what I should say. I feel like I'm supposed to apologize, but I don't know what I did wrong."

[Tree]

Ansel shook his head, squeezing her, unable to help the small flash of panic that she might vanish or run from him.

"No. I was sharing that I was just going about it differently... so I'm probably gonna be behind you is all. "

He wished, even his tone sounded worried that things might crumble. Willow, you weren't the only one that was gun shy or jumpy.

Willow let out a soft whoosh of air as he squeezed her slightly too hard.

"I don't think so? I stopped."

She freed her hands to pat his side.

"It's okay."

[Tree]

Ansel eased, looking remorseful as he passed his forehead to the top of her head.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I love you. "

[Sushi]

"you didn't hurt me. You just squeezed my air out. You should be glad I haven't had anything to eat yet, or else it might have come out as a toot."

[Tree]

Ansel snorted, then looked ashamed.

"Oh no, you do need to eat. I'm so sorry....."

Poor dude was letting her go and scooting off the bed.

[Sushi]

Willow tightened her hold and dug her toes into the bedspread to stop him.

"No. I'm not hungry."

[Tree]

Ansel stilled, looking confused.

"You are sure? "

He asked, looking earnest as he sat there awkwardly between being off the bed and snuggling her.

[Sushi]

Willow slowly glanced up to him.

"Wouldn't you know if I was?"

[Tree]

Ansel glanced over her body, thinking about it..

"I dunno? Your hunger would be different than my need to feed, yeah? ...."

He might not recognize what it was he was feeling was what he was trying to say.

[Sushi]

Willow nodded.

"I dunno, probably? But the point is that I'm not. There's nothing wrong with me right now."

She gestured to herself as though inviting him to check.

[Tree]

Ansel relaxed and moved back to her.

"Ok..... but you... you'll still let me know if you're hungry? "

Poor dude was really worried about it

[Sushi]

Willow nodded.

"I'll do my best."

She shifted so she was sitting on the bed, though, considering the room.

"Are we flying back?"

[Tree]

" We're here a few days. I didn't book the return, I didn't know how long we would need to adjust? "

[Sushi]

Willow eased, leaning backwards.

"So we have enough time that I could maybe lay down for a bit?"

[Tree]

Ansel yawned a bit.

/ Yes..... we can snuggle? /

[Sushi]

Willow nodded and climbed back to the pillow she'd woken up on.

"If you want."

She left the blanket where it was so he could climb in.

[Tree]

Ansel was very much a snuggle cuddle positive sort. But he didn't fall asleep like he thought he would. Instead he was petting Willow's hair and smiling at both how it felt in his hands and how it felt to her.

[Sushi]

Willow however was drowsing with no problem.

/Mmmhmm. I like your touch,/ she agreed, though only rousing slightly.

[Tree]

Ansel smiled at her. This was going to enhance pets and cuddles going forward, for sure. As it was, he was already wondering about all the positive ways this changed. He hadn't really given it mind until now. Like he'd mentioned stubbed toes, knife cuts and so forth. ... but what about like, really good massages? Or that fresh sheet feeling?

[Sushi]

"I'm thirsty," willow mumbled about an hour later, even still mostly asleep.

[Tree]

Ansel smiled, kissing her.

"Kay. What do you want? "

[Sushi]

"another of those."

She was referring to the kiss, apparently not awake enough yet to process the bigger question.

[Tree]

Ansel chuckled, shifting to kiss her, again and again. He liked them too after all, and until she gave him a target beverage, kisses could pass the time.

Willow rubbed his chest and shoulders, eventually opening her eyes.

"This is nice too," she whispered, cheeks rosy with sleep.

"I'm thirsty, though."

She didn't recall what had started the shower of affection.
