Cael didn't wake up until quite a while after her. The waking process was slow, too. It started out with a moan. Then he scrunched up his face. Then he groaned and his hand went to his head as he opened bleary eyes.
"Oh noooooo..." Groan. He looked around, a little dazed even as his eyes settled on Alyson's paint splattered face. Bit by bit, Cael started to remember parts of the night before. What all had happened? He sat up slightly, immediately regretting it and wanting to lay back down. This was a terrible hangover.

Alyson watched cael, shaking her head and moving to help him lay back down on the cool stones, looking over him slowly.
" how did you get paint on your a$$ ? ....... You did keep your clothes on in the club... so how..."
she shook her head, looking at her hands.... that's probably how. Paying it no more thought, she smiled a bit more down to the man with the hang over.
" That was fun, but your feeling it now, huh?"

"Ugh, speak softer." Cael picked up a rock, putting the cool weight on his forehead as he shut his eyes.
"It must have been some party. I can't even remember..." He opened one eye.
"Where the heck are we anyhow?"

" Out of sight, out of mind, off the coast...."
she replied softly, watching him, voice gentle and faint now, moving to kiss his cheek.

Cael didn't say anything for a while. Then he let out a half-laugh.
"Which brings me to my next question: where are our clothes?"

" Oh

That."
Alyson laughed and moved from him now, showing she was wearing bra and panties at least, grabbing her dress and his shirt, boxers, and pants, laying them down beside him, looking him over again.
" I like you better naked."

"I like..." Cael just trailed off. He begrudgingly sat up and began to pull the clothes on. About three whole minutes later, he offered an end to what he had begun.
"Coffee."

......"Car?"
........................"Oh."
"Keys?" Cael ventured into his pocket.
"Here." There was no way he was going to drive.

Alyson took the key from him slowly, looking Cael over.
" Your going to have a nightmare of a time returning to the car..."
She said gently, thinking of the suspension bridge back to the parking lot.

Cael grumbled something, but moved to stalk after her. Yes, the thought of the bridge was not yet surfacing. Perhaps... Perhaps they would just cross that bridge when they got there.

alyson was soon standing before the bridge, looking to cael, hesitating before putting cael before her to make sure he didn't fall.... this was going to be difficult.

This was ingenious on the designers of the club. The drunk people would never even make it to their cars to drive! The first time that the bridge pitched (which it pretty much did with the first step), Cael dissolved completely. Well, that was the end of that.

Alyson stared, watching the man fall through the bridge and towards the water, horrified. what on earth was she to do now? Talk about a woman ready to flip out.

Let's see. We have a man that was hit by a train and blown halfway across Germany as a shadow. Did we really think that he was going to plummet to his death? Silly rabbit, tricks are for kids. The man, in his miserable state of being, just gave up on his own merits.
Cael allowed himself to fill up inside of Alyson's shadow, holding on with cohesiveness. Yes. She was going to drag him along, whether she knew it or not. Forget the stretcher.

Alyson stared to her shadow a moment as it slowly took on a second shape for a second, then looked normal again, thinking she had to move, she slowly made her way to the car, and climbed in, looking at the shadow now spread across the back seat... she had to ask before driving off, but asking on the bridge she'd not been able to convince herself that it wasn't insane to ask in public..
" are you here, and alright?"

After a moment, the shadow shifted, sliding into Cael's solid form. The man was grumbling.
"Tylenol. I want coffee and tylenol." So, that was a yes... more or less.

Alyson seemed visibly relieved and smiled, nodding slowly as she pulled away, soon ordering three cups of coffee on the way home, getting him tylennol as soon as she was through the door, handing it to him.

Cael had actually drunk most of the coffee in his cup by the time they got home... where he promptly slipped and fell on the inside landing. Why did it smell like petroleum jelly?
"I knew I should have stayed in bed today."

" Well, we'll get you to a bed, and there you can stay."
she countered, moving to help him, not loosing her footing, and guiding him to her room, as it was closer, placing him in bed, forcing another cup of coffee and the tylennol to him.

"I wasn't griping at you." Cael was cranky.
Mason, meanwhile, had left again. That was obvious by the smell of burnt toast, missing car, and the practical jokes. Just wait until Alyson went to use the bathroom... He had rigged her toilet seat to slide off.

Cael sighed, staring at the silver-specked wall. It wasn't like he hadn't been in here before. This was his (and Mason's) house, after all.
"Your bed is really far off the floor." It was an absent remarked.
Mason had also stolen all of the knobs in the house: the sink knobs, the door knobs, the cabinet knobs, lamp knobs. The only one he left was the one to the front door, and that was only because the door wouldn't stay shut without it.

She figured it out without the knobs, however, she was rather put out by the situation and was trying not to grumble when she slipped into the bath tub, managing to figure out how to run bath, sinks, ect....
What sucked? It required her going around the house with pliers to get everything working, letting Cael rest. Yes, she checked on him regularly, and she noted that as of late, not shadow man.

Some time after she climbed into the bathtub, Cael got up. Why? Because the fumes of the leftover paint on his skin was NOT helping his headache. He wandered off to the other bathroom, taking a quick shower. However, he didn't bother to shave, looking kind of funny with his 5 'o' clock shadow at 10 in the morning. Food. Crackers? Cheese? Ooo... Yum.

Alyson slipped out of the tub to find Cael missing, and she kind of made a funny face, checking under the bed before heading off into the rest of the house, finding him pulling cheese from the fridge and eating crackers.
Smirking, and shaking her head, alyson watched him.
" Do I still need to speak this softly?"
She asked, very delicate voice gracing the air.

Cael sliced a bit of cheese for her, placing it and some crackers on a saucer for the woman. The man drank some water, before chuckling softly and rubbing his face.
"Man, I haven't been that blasted... well... ever I think. I don't even remember half it."

Cael just laughed and shook his head, drinking from his water glass.
"I'm sure that this is going to come back and bite me in the butt somehow." He paused for a minute.
"By the way, have you found where Mason put the knobs yet?"

" Just not sure how I'm getting them out of the gutters, as I can't find a ladder."
she informed him absently, looking over Cael, shaking her head.

Cael shrugged, glancing out the window. It was raining. Great.
"I'll get them down."
He might as well do that now, otherwise they might have to deal with rust. That was no fun either way. He began to rummage around for something to put them in.
