Darryn cocked his head to the side like a confused puppy.
"Sure it does. Close your eyes, walk in a random direction, and pick up the first thing you run into."

Darryn hopped to his feet.
"Well I know the perfect one!" He was thinking about the one he had fallen out of on the other side of the closet.

Laughing, Ashleigh shook her head.
" Your insane."

" God, please don't let it be contagious."
She mocked, looking him over.

"Aww, you could use a dose or two." He fake-sneezed in her direction.

Ashleigh growled ( Playfully) in his direction, looking him over.
" i'd watch it if I were you."
She purred softly.

Darryn grinned lightly, plucking feathers off of himself and tossing them in every which direction.
"Both eyes wide open."

ashleigh looked him over, and couldn't help the small grin, considering him.
" They never knew what they were missing by judging you so."

Darryn glanced up at her, turning his eyes in the same manner as well. His response was fairly simple.
"It is a shame they tried to shove you in a box."

ashleigh glanced to him, hesitating, then taking his hand.
" It was my role."
She replied softly.

Darryn tilted his head to the side, taking her hand and spreading it out against his own palm, examining the comparison between the fingers thoughtfully.
"Well yes... but what fun is a doll if you can't play with it?"

" that's just it, they wanted to pair this barbie off with the perfect little ken, and watch me raise the most lovely little convent ever."
She barely kept from spitting the words, knowing he hadn't meant to hit a nerve, not even mad at him, watching their hands closely.

Darryn just pressed his lips together, letting his hand slide slightly so that his fingers fell into the spaces between hers. He picked up on the sour tone, but didn't know quite what he had done.
"...If Barbie was a real person, she would fall over." Somehow, this seemed particularly insightful.

" You missed the point, but yes, she would."

Darryn simply flashed her a playful grin and a wink, unentwining his hand. She laughed. That was much better in his book than a sour brooding.

Ashleigh moved and kissed Darryn softly.
" where were you when I was young and falling head over heels for a fool?"

The man took the kiss with grace, tentatively setting his hands on her hips as though almost afraid she would snap them off.
"Probably somewhere a little east of Belarus."

" Too bad."
She purred simply, simply looking him over, small little happy smile on her face as she actually just moved to relax in his very very light hold, not complaining that he was being hesitant and respectful... Actually, it was refreshing.

Darryn gave her a warm smile. This was a good thing - see, truth be told, he actually had been afraid that she would snap his hands off. That would have been his luck, though terribly painful. So, he just stood there.
"Not really, I learned how to dance a merengue there." He moved one hand into hers, taking a step just to see if she would follow.

" few benefits, none the less."

Darryn smiled.
"But I've gotten something from everywhere I've been. Belarus - merengue." He took a couple quick steps with her.
"Slovenia - foxtrot." He changed direction.
"Sweden - waltz." He slowed the step and spun her as he spoke again.
"Spain - paso doble." He moved to dip her but then paused. "But I doubt you would let me handle you in the paso doble style."
((-.- I'm running out of dances...))

Smiling Ashleigh looked over Darryn as she moved a bit closer to him, shaking ehr head as she kissed him, managing to follow all the changes in dances.
" I'd like you to know, it's been an eternity since I've had to full out dance, and I'd let you lead me where you will... but I'm rustier then an over oxygenated nail."

Darryn smiled lightly and took that as an opportunity to dip her and give a little kiss.
"The rust will never wash away if you never take a dip."

Darryn laughed at that.
"Well, that only leaves me to wonder why you choose to hover about me! I don't believe in perfection. It's a story that parents tell their kids to get them to behave."

" Because, you intrigue me, and entertain me... You understand me. "
Ashleigh looked him over, smiling and flushing ever so slightly as she stopped that line of thought, as there had been two more statements to that list that she'd refrained from saying... barely.

" I suppose I'm okay with it, too."

Darryn was caught slightly by surprise at her motion, but he gave way easily.
"That's a nice thought." His hands went to curl around her, but his left hand was distracted. Ashleigh had one of those fun stretchy clear rubber strap things hanging out from her dress.
