Ephriam gently cradled her in his arms, kissing away each teardrop as it fell. Apologies didn't exactly fix everything, but he was especially forgiving tonight. She was just so sad and sick and pathetic...

Marina felt awful for saying anything. And this is why she normally didn't. he managed to make her feel bad, for being frustrated with not feeling desirable, let alone sexual, because he failed in that section... and it wasn't like either meant to do it to the other... It was just something they were struggling with it.

"I am sorry that I am not everything you desire." Ephriam whispered the soft apology, obviously feeling more a pity than a pain... This was all jethro's fault.

" That's the problem... You are, and i can't have you."



she said softly, trying not to cry, but given the fact she was sick, adn she was human, it just sort of... happened.

Pang... Someone was throwing rocks at Ephriam's perfectly Windexed glass exterior. The man gave another sigh. His lips stopped seeking out the runaway salty drops sliding down her cheeks. Instead they gently tapped between her eyes and the tip of her nose and her lips. Well... at least he wasn't worried about getting sick.

Marina snuggled down closer, continuing to cry as she held to him.



" I love you."

Ephriam's heart softened as he picked up her hand kissing her fingers.



"You are always asking questions, wanting to know how everything works. Let me show you something you may not realize?" He hated to see her so miserable, and that seemed to be all that he could do right now. The man held her hand, waiting for permission.

Marina looked at him, looking as it she might cry even mroe as she kissed him.



" Okay..."



she felt beyond guilty. it was obvious.

Ephriam actually swallowed rather hard. This was very nervous stuff for him. Still... He gently took her hand and placed the palm flat against the left side of his chest. He folded his hand over hers, keeping it there as he whispered into her ear. He wanted nothing more than to fix things. maybe this would be worth it.



"This... is what it feels like... when a vampire... loves you." And as he said it, there was a very faint plip, a single, teeny tiny pulse of a heart.

Marina looked up at him, looking as if she might shatter from the over load of emotions.



" You know I love you."



She said gently. she'd said it a million times ( Or, as much as she'd said it, felt like a million times.... maybe only five total though.) and she hadn't been around, or able to hear when he'd said it back, so her stomach was doing flip flops, and her heart was doing weird little loops, all the while her heart was dancing, it was doing it with two broken ankles. ...word were a bit hard for her to come by after that sensation took full hold..

Eph's face transitioned into a smile as he held her, though the movement was so slow that the moment of change couldn't really be pinpointed. He gave a very small nod and held her close to him. He could hear her heart. For a reason he couldn't quite determine, he was joyed by it.

" Please... tell me when I do get you, it will be worth going completely crazy..."



she murmured, nestling tighter to him, heart starting to slow, slightly.

Ephriam just gave her a sly grin. He couldn't exactly give her a perfect testimony on this one, seeing that as a human he had never screwed a vampire, however... Between what he as a vampire experienced and what he had been told... The man ran his finger down her jawline.



"It will be worth going crazy." Politely.

marina looked him over, smiling as she locked her eyes with his, movign to kiss him, hotly.



" It better be."



not really much room for option there.

Ephriam gave a gentle chortle as he kissed her back. The man very much liked it. And if she wanted to pick a time to push the ticket, the best time to do it was right after the cool-down following a feed. E.G. now. So for once, her kisses weren't bothering him. It seemed that maybe she was feeling a little better.

" ... ephriam....... you know, you can't see me in my wedding dress.... and jethro would ruin it by accidentally dropping red wine on it or something."

Ephriam stopped, suddenly rather confused.



"...Perhaps you should finish your musing?" Hopefully there was more to that one...

" well... who is going to help me get it here?"

Ephriam's mouth twitched with a half-smile.



"Well..." He began to tick things off on his fingers. "You could use the car. We could hire someone to help you. You could kidnap Sarah..."

" sarah is a booty call..."



she complained softly, looking rather upset.

"You invited her to that party..." Ephriam paused.



"Well, who do you want then?"

Marina made a small face.



" i didn't knwo what kind of girl she was to Jethro until later."

Ephriam paused for a moment.



"Who did you have in mind?"

Marina now realized how friendless she was, and her little face fell. She didn't know.



" I think I'll browse by myself later. "



she purred, moving to kiss him softly.

Ephriam raised one eyebrow. But didn't argue. Shopping for a bridesmaid... novel concept. He gently stroked her back.



"Okay, but for now you need to finish getting better."

" I'm pathetic. I've got a vampire for a lover, and no friends."



She said softly, now pouting. It was more like a little girl realizing her dollies weren't real people. It was kind of a crushed moment... this time though, it wasn't his fault.

Ephriam blinked a few times, trying to figure what to say.



"I have a human for a lover and a vampire for a pet?"

" ... but you don't want friends... my closest thing to a friend, is jethro, and he's a boy."



enter more pathetic sick talk.

This time Ephriam was amused, not at all offended.



"A boy?! EWW!" He stuck out his tongue. "Why would you want one of those?"

" Cause when they become men, they is fun to play with."



she replied, not skipping a beat.



" But boys don't make good matrons."

Ephriam gave a full laugh at this one.



"Fair enough!"

" ... cause I mean, picture Jethro my matron of Honor... it won't work, cause he's too boyish to make a pretty girlie."

Ephriam seemed to think about this.



"Well... it might have worked. But since he happens to be my best man that would be one odd outfit."

" That's my other point. You have a friend."



She complained, rather unhappy she realized she felt like an ugly duckling or something.

Ephriam sighed slightly.



"Well, I would point out that my friend is also the one that blooded me, but following that logic I would have to be your matron of honor."

" Oh, and that works out."



she replied dryly, looking sad.

Ephriam kind of felt bad. He searched for an answer.



"...I could not have a best man all together. Jethro could officiate. He was ordained in a past life."

Marina made a small little face.



" I'm not mad at you.... I wanna have my friends.'

Ephriam gave a smile.



"I certainly will hardly stop you."

Marina looked at him, making a little face.



" Cause I have the best luck with vampires, and the worst luck with humans."



Okay, point on that one with all the sarcasm.
