What's Wrong With....? -Suri & Vynz's Origins

As the the radio tunned in nothing but static, due to their location, and the cold air blasted Suri from the vents, her eyes turned to her passenger.



" So, ideally they won't be coming at you for a few days from when you got that, so hopefully at least another full day..."

[Sushi]

Vynz turned the air off as well as the radio, pushing another button which was apparently power locks. However, he did mellow a bit as she spoke.



"Yeah... I don't really know what I'm going to do when I get there. I know Rosaline did it, but I doubt anyone would believe me any more than they would believe me if I told them she was a manticore."

[Tree]

" So we get to pursued them?" "



Suri asked, eyes lighting up a bit.

[Sushi]

Vynz glanced over at her glittering eyes, amused slightly.



"Did you have something in mind?"

[Tree]

" well, making people listen is always fun."

[Sushi]

Vynz shrugged slightly, putting his feet up on the dashboard and leaning back in the seat.



"I normally don't bother. Not worth my time, you know?"

[Tree]

" So what other option do you purpose?"





Suri asked, not letting the fact she wanted to play with the voo doo people, just to see how they worked become apparent.

[Sushi]

"Oh, I'm not proposing anything else. I was just saying that it would be a change of pace." Vynz had now turned his eyes upward, watching the sky pass them by.

[Tree]

" I find trying to convince them ... Might be interesting if their trying to kill you while we attempt the convincing..."

[Sushi]

Vynz shrugged.



"Never a dull day." He went on in silence for a while, thinking.



"We are going to have to find Rosaline, aren't we?" It wasn't exactly a question so much as a musing.

[Tree]

"that depends..."



Suri ventured slowly, glancing to him.



" It should be mroe stated as you have to find her. I'm not afraid of ehr so much as I'd like not be mistake as your new...er... partner."

[Sushi]

Vynz tossed a glance at her, looking her over from head to foot as though deciding if that would even be plausible. Then he simply shrugged and then turned his eyes back to the sky. The man threw his arms behind his head and crossed his ankles on the dashboard.



"You worry about the strangest things. You know that, new girl?"

[Tree]

suri shook her head.



" sorceresses don't bed easily, I have my reputation to think about."



his life on the line...<..... her reputation.....????

[Sushi]

Vynz just laughed and shook his head.



"I haven't bedded you. I haven't even tried to. How would that damage your reputation?"

[Tree]

" Implication is worst then doing sometimes."



She replied simply, not bothered by his statement, it was fact anyway.

[Sushi]

"Well, in that case, I can't be seen with you as well. I am not an easy bed, either, for your information." However, Vynz was just teasing her. He didn't mean anything at all. In fact, it was impossible to tell if he was being serious about any of it.

[Tree]

Suri smirked, shaking her head.



" well, considering the circumstances, I don't think you should be too picky on your company."

[Sushi]

"Au contraire, if this is to be my last few days of existence, I think that I can be as picky as I like." Vynz stuck his tongue out at her.

[Tree]

" well, in that case, your stuck with me, so get over it."



suri replied, grin growing.

[Sushi]

Vynz smiled faintly and shook his head, turning once more to the clouds overhead. However, at a very odd sound, he did look back down. A jellyfish had landed on the dashboard.



"Okay then..."

[Tree]

Suri looked at the fish thing and sighed, reaching over and flicking it off the dashboard with her wand, glancing to Vynz.



" So, where is the carnivorous lady?"

[Sushi]

Vynz looked at her now, his lighthearted expression fading.



"I honestly don't know. The last time I saw her, she was in Germany in that horrible house. I told you, I had even forgotten about her until yesterday."

[Tree]

" Easy to track?"



she fished, watching him.

[Sushi]

Vynz stared at her for a long moment. He couldn't decide if she was just asking a question or if she was implying something.



"Yeah, just follow the trail of dead bodies."

[Tree]

" .... Seriously, how hard?"

[Sushi]

Vynz looked at her now.



"I was being completely serious. That's what we'll have to do. And I don't know how hard that will be, because I've never tried to track someone by murder."

[Tree]

" Murder is messy business, It's easily tracked by the magic community because it leaves so many marks and stains... except for on vampires, as you guys tend to lack a fully formed soul. You have a particle one, but not enough of one to read..."



Suri muttered, half to herself, half to him, wondering though, how many tainted, stained, and ripped souls they'd find before this woman's... the amount of deaths and murders only did so much......

[Sushi]

Vynz suddenly looked like stone. His eyes turned to the side, staring out through the water.



"I know all about the souls of vampires. You don't need to tell me." It wasn't something that he was attacking her with. The tone simply said that it was the very last thing that he would want to talk about.

[Tree]

Suri sighed, shaking her head.



" I was merely saying to track her that way would prove annoying and difficult."

[Sushi]

Vynz shrugged slightly, still staring out through the waves.



"We'll just have to play it by ear, I guess." The man sat there for a long time before suddenly shifting so that he was looking at Suri directly. He spoke quickly as though he had only moments to choke out the words on his mind.



"My mother always killed people. She even killed my father, though she claimed that was by accident. So, I grew up with her and killed a lot of people too. I mean, it was a 'if mom, says it's okay...' thing. But now I'm not so young. I try not to kill people anymore..." He frowned.



"But you probably don't believe me." And then he looked away again.

[Tree]

Suri took her hands from the wheel now, as the vehicle continued in it's path, he eyes locking with the man beside her.



" I judge not by one's history unless one misses it that dearly to return to it's actions. If you've come to terms and are no longer wishing that life, then I'll nto judge you by it."

[Sushi]

Vynz just shrugged.



"I would say that I was a kid and kids do stupid things, but that seems like a cop out. But, I've come to find out that good and evil are anything but innate." His voice was soft and distant as he was lost in his thoughts.

[Tree]

" Monkey see, monkey do."



suri replied with a shrug, smiling at him slightly.



" No worries, your now a personal cherry supplier."



She purred with a rather large grin.

[Sushi]

Vynz gave her a befuddled look before just letting it go.



"I hope you aren't expecting me to pull a jar out of my pocket. I don't have any."

[Tree]

Suri laughed, shaking her head.



" I eat them when I'm in need of energy, lacking vitamin b though they do, the c and a make up for it greatly, not to mention the high levels of natural sugar."

[Sushi]

"In other words, if I see you eating cherries, then I should vacate the area. Forecast: jello with a slight chance of pudding." Vynz joked lightly.

Suri rolled her eyes, tossing a tuna at him.



" Not funny."

[Sushi]

Vynz caught the tuna and absently tossed it back out.



"Aww... Not even a little bit?"

[Tree]

" No."



Suri replied as they soon made land once more, stopping for food, of course, casually pulling into a BK drive thru.

After a moment there was someone else speaking.



" How may i helk yod?"



Taking it, she smiled.



" I'd like a number eight, plan, add cheese, make that king size, and the drink a cherry shake, and I'd like a large ice water and-"



She cut off, looking to Vynz expectantly.

[Sushi]

Vynz shrugged slightly.



"Ice water." He looked at the thing incredulously.
