Kai climbed aboard... and tripped over the fridge box on the deck.

"Now I know that wasn't there before..." He sighed and got up.

Smirking and shaking her head, Ajora helped Kai to his feet, having the fridge rolled to her quarters along with the generator, perfectly happy with her new 'home'.

"...Could I have a little corner of your fridge? Like... enough for a pint sized jar?" The man was eyeing it carefully. It would work perfectly....

Kai pulled out a small mason jar and held it up so that she could see. There was some moss and whatnot, and a teeny tiny little turtle resting upon it.

"I have to keep him cold so that his body will think that it's still winter and will continue hibernating."

Ajora smiled, shaking her head as she took the jar off his hands and figured out a way to fit the small creature inside. Ontop the pickle jar, in the door, double sided sticky tape keeping it from falling off as she opened and closed the door. Yep, it was secure, she was just having issues with whether she could eat pickles a turtle slept on.

Malykai looked at the little fellow carefully. He was concerned over something entirely different than the pickles.

"I don't know... you don't think the chemicals from the tape will soak through his shell and hurt him, do you?"

Kai paused for a minute and then nodded.

"Good. I just... Call me a softie, but I saw the little abandoned guy and I couldn't just leave him."

Malykai smiled and her and nodded, giving an offhanded gesture of thanks.

"Thanks. You know, I didn't like you when I first met you, but I'm not so sure about that now. I think you're okay, Ajora."

((Last post for a while. I'm getting stiff and I can only contort so much with a comp in my lap, so said object is going to be put away for a bit.))

Malykai skulked off, taking over the room the two girls had left behind. He decided that he was going to take a nap. He was trying to decide if he would have believed it if someone told him he was going to be doing this today. It was hard to decide. The man was pretty open-minded, but this was pretty out there, too.

sailing off down the little inlet river, she continued their course for Cuba as she hummed the theme song to 'elderado', wondering about in the ever waning lights from the heavens about, watching the stars start to twinkle over head.

Eventually Kai got out of bed, and he breezed through the galley for a meal. He took his can of soda and sandwich out on deck. Tonight he was watching two people walk about: Ajora and a young lad he had yet to meet.

Malykai was a little bit of a creeper, and he knew it. He didn't really care though. However, there is a huge difference between creeper and stalker. That was why he was intently watching the boy and not the vampire. He was... somewhere between amused and perplexed by the fellow.

Malykai swallowed the last of his sandwich and wiped the crumbs off of his lap, hopping down to walk down there. He cast a glance at the girl before hoping that he was reading her right, hoping that she would grab ahold of the line he was casting.

"Hey, babe, I was wondering where you got off to." He pretended not to notice the lad, who spoke.

"Oh... Sorry, is this your...?"

Kai placed a hand half about her, though it was resting between her shoulderblades as opposed to her rump, where some might have guessed. Kai was decent. Most of the time. Chad glanced between them, offering a hand to the taller fellow.

"Hey. I was just talking with Ajora, you know. Great girl, you're very lucky."

"Thank you."

"Well, I have to go meet someone, so if you don't mind..."

"No, of course not." Kai waited until he was gone before stepping away. "Very curious... Very very curious."

Watching chad move off, she sighed as she let her eyes wonder back to the man standing beside her.

" He's very odd, much like most of the other men I meet. he doesn't seem to take hints all that well. "

Malykai just shrugged slightly.

"Uh... You're welcome?" He was now examining his palm.

"Um... You're the first person not to plague me in quite a while." It was a compliment. He cleared his throat, trying to think of something else to say.

"Well, at least that last one was sincere. He was completely infatuated with you. Not even lusting, just infatuation." Kai winced. Of course the first thing that came to his mind would be the thing that he opted not to say earlier.

Kai just shrugged, swirling his pop around in the can, listening to the fizz.

"I wouldn't know." He took a sip before glancing out at the water around them. He didn't know how they had done it, but they were now floating in the Gulf of Mexico. So much for Michigan...

Malykai gave a sigh, but then slowly it grew into a smile. And the smile grew to a huge grin. And the grin grew to a light chuckle. That was fantastic. He liked the irony. It was kind of fun.

"Are you trying to kidnap me... again?"

Kai went to the drugstore. He frowned, waddling around.

"You're sold out? ...Really?" The associate shrugged.

"We had a parade the other day. A lot of people are suffering your ailment. I can go check in the back if..."

"Please do!" Kai had never been happier than when the girl returned with a single bottle of sunburn goo.

"I found this under the rack, so I don't know if..."

"That's okay!" Kai used the last of his money to pay for the bottle and waddle back to the ship.
