What's Wrong With....?

" I won't be able to talk much longer, so your fielding telling your sister then."

She replied simply, paying her ticket and standing, wondering from the diner and back towards home... Shower...

Vynz smiled dryly at her statement. She was a funny thing. Him? TELL his sister? Not a chance.

"Feel better, new girl." He didn't follow her, though, instead choosing to just chill out at Sergio's for a while longer.

Suri merely nodded and sighed as she made her way back towards her lonely little apartment, until she stopped, thinking about something, walking off deeper into town.

Vynz eventually left, stalking off absently and watching the people in their night lives. These were the ones that made the city live, these ones that didn't sleep. At some point or another, he decided that he had decided that he would go to the dollar store. He was out of batteries.

Suri was in for a surprise when she walked down the narrow... well... it really was too small to be a street, but it was too wide to be an alley. Right in the middle of it all was a body. It looked to be a bloody female with her throat slashed.

Suri stared, and stared, and stared. After a solid 30seconds of staring, she looked about, noting the culprit wasn't near, and she pursed her lips, thinking. After a few more moments she did something incredibly amazingly awesome.

She turned around and walked right out the way she'd come, unnoticed, and ditched her shoes to a local bonfire at some point along the way, now wondering the streets, barefoot.

The female body actually sat up as the woman walked away. She sighed.

"Okay, so I'm completely inept at this." The woman hopped up and darted after Suri, looking very uncoordinated as she did so.

"Alright lady, what could I have done different to make you walk over or freak out or something? Is it the blood? Do I need some more?" The girl glanced down at what she thought had been a generous smattering.

" It's the smell."

Suri replied, glancing back, shaking her head.

" What a wack job you are, bug off."

The girl shook her head vehemently, her stringy brown hair flinging little droplets to either side.

"No! That's genuine dead-smell."

"That's for sure." Vynz, holding a mega-package of AA batteries. His intense blue eyes rested on the two of them curiously.

Suri stopped, smiling, ever so cutely, thrusting the crazy upon Vynz.

" ask him. He'll love your company. I'm in a hurry."

Vynz pushed her back away from them all. The girl stumbled and then both of them were staring at the ground. Her arm had fallen off.

"Dammit." She opened her mouth and had almost exhaled her knock-out breath when Vynz jumped back.

"Take it easy! Vampire!" He raised a hand and the girl turned to face the girl. She better speak fast or she was going to take a nap.

" Sorceress. Back off."

She informed the woman flatly, eyes rather dull as she looked to Vynz.

" I blame you for her."

she informed the vampire standing beside her.

The girl relaxed and flashed a smile.

"Oh, okay. That's why you didn't do anything." Then, quite casually, she leaned over and picked her arm up and stuck it back on. Vynz looked at Suri, rolling his eyes.

"Hey, I don't even know her. I just live here." The girl glanced up and held flexed her fingers before holding it out to shake.

"Tawni." She didn't even bat an eyelash at what happened next.

"OH MY GOD! ARE YOU OKAY?! I'LL GO CALL 911!"

Suri looked at Vynz again.

" This is still your fault."

Looking to the zombie, she sighed.

" I hope your away it could cause some real trouble if you don't pass him out..."

she stated casually, not too worried about her or even Vynz's well being, looking to the moon above. Her walks never worked out right.

Tawni waved at her offhandedly before turning to the passerby.

"It's alright. I just came from a costume party. Convincing, huh? I won first place." The passerby's eyes were nearly bugging out of his head.

"...Really?"

"Would I still be standing if this was real?" The man looked quite awkard as he nodded, processing this. He took a step forward and then back again, wrinkling his nose.

"Geez, I can see why. You reek."

"Thank you." And then he was gone. Tawni turned back.

"Happens to me all the time."

Vynz looked over to Suri. "How is it my fault?"

" It's always men's fault."

Suri replied simply, looking to the woman, shaking her head.

"No person insult meant, but I really don't like zombies. There was a reason I was walking away. Later."

With that, she was still contemplating lighting the woman on fire as she made her way back towards her thankfully boring apartment once mroe.

Tawni just shrugged and reached into her pocket, pulling out her wallet.

"Hey. Mr. Vampire, she never did tell me what I could do better. Would you mind asking her for me and then getting back to me? Here's my card." She pulled out a piece of paper. "Oh, there's a little..." She tried to wipe off the blood before attempting to hand it to him. "Sorry, I..." Vynz shook his head and took it, trying to touch the surface as little as possible.

"That's okay. I'll just... yeah."

"Oh, okay, good." Tawni nodded and walked off. Vynz quite promptly threw the card away.

Suri was soon settled in her room, playing chess against herself, considering turning all the pieces into supernatural beings and watching them play themselves.

Vynz went home as well, dropping the batteries on the end table and going straight to the bathroom to try and scrub himself clean. Disgusting zombies. I don't care if they are nice people. Putrid, revolting... He was going to sleep afterwords.

As she eventually gave in and watched the pieces burn, melt, freeze, smash, repeal, and vanish the other pieces, she enjoyed her win, and wondered to get cleaned up and crawl into her squishy bed.

Vynz was juggling, count them, five open bottles of liquor tonight. He thought about lighting something on fire just to make it more challenging and self-entertaining, but then decided not to. Best not be a showoff. Right now, anyone that ordered cherry schapps, Jack, Johnny, white wine, or lime-bite vodka were the happiest. Have you ever seen someone pour you a shot while juggling?

After She had rested well during the daylight hours, Suri was in full sterotypical costume as she actually was setting up the necessary things for a new spell. Yep, she was planning to try something out, unaware what was happening bellow.

Vynz was really good at this. Overhand, underhand, one handed, over the shoulder... he could do under the leg as well, but he was standing behind a bar. What would be the point in that? He smiled faintly to himself as a dancer, well, danced over to the bar. She giggled in a coy way, holding up a match as men *ehm* gifted her several larger bills. The dancers weren't really his interest, but this would be interesting... Could she even manage to light one? It required some coordination.

Well. she might be a sorceress, however, that didn't mean all spells worked out properly. Especially new ones. Normally she nailed them, however, what happened next.... Let's just say she was thankful she'd put an illusion charm upon the current occupants, as well as one up on the building it's self as the floorboards turned to jello, followed by the walls, and then ceiling. Then of course the plumbing was turning into little pez blocks. Mark this spell as a fail.

Vynz's eyes shot wide and he rocked back. The good news? The girl had managed to light the bottle. The bad news? The girl had managed to light the bottle. He ended up dropping one. It of course mostly looked like he had intended to toss it onto the bar where the purple flaming liquid spilled out. However, the man immediately stopped juggling, despite the applause. He looked at the other tender and nodded in wordless communication. The man slipped away upstairs. This was a lot more challenging then he anticipated. He was rocking back and forth in attempt to maintain balance as he stood in front of her door.

"Should I knock or just eat my way through?"

Suri winced.

" I'm working on it, it shouldn't be more then a few more minutes... It wasn't suppose to do that. The newt must have gotten stale."

she complained as she was walking across the jello as if this happened all the time, looking through an odd looking little box.

" Come in, come in."

she said as an after thought, the door blowing open.

Vynz went in, sighing as he looked at the little hole where his foot had broken through the surface.

"Am I going to have to fix that after you fix this?" He watched her intently.

" It'll repair that on it's own."

She replied, seeming more distracted as she stood with a rather disgusted face, complaining more.

" Now I've gotta go down to the damn store and get more of those blasted fried dragon's tongues, freakin' out, again. This blows."

she grumbled, plopping down and pulling her shoes on.

Vynz just stared at her and spoke flatly.

"Really?" He wasn't at all surprised over the underground store. After all, he was a vampire living in plain sight. This was more of a whole situation thing.

" Do I look happy about it?"

She asked casually as she nearly stormed off, bag of odd coins in tow. This sucked.

Vynz hesitated but then paced after her. This was more because he didn't want to see what would happen next. He didn't like the whole jello floor. It was killing his shins.

"Does this happen to you a lot, new girl?"

" Only since I moved here."

She replied, looking to him as she wondered from the building, and off down the street, towards the outskirts of town.

The man followed her, noting in the back of his mind that this was similar to the direction that he walked when he went home.

"So is that my fault too?" At least he had a decent sense of humor about it. But then again, that was Vynz for you. Nothing really grated him too badly.

" very well might be. Last time I was around a vampire, I had large problems shortly after... This all could be your fault."

She informed him simply, smirking slightly.

Vynz smiled faintly and rolled his eyes.

"Oh, okay. Just wanted to make sure I was on the same page there." His eyes roamed around absently.

"Is this a private store?"

" No, just not visible for humans."

She replied honestly as she appeared to start climbing an invisible staircase. To passersby, it would merely look like she'd just hailed and climbed into a taxi. Without too much care to the entire ordeal, she was counting her steps, stopping at 17, opening the door to be admitted into a musty old shop that was barely lit, weird parchment like signs and labels everywhere as Suri casually started making her way towards the much needed item.

Vynz followed her up the stairs, but stopped at the threshold. He had never been in this store before. In fact, he had never so much as stopped before it. So... he found himself staring in before his eyes brushed over a random stranger, perhaps a storehand, that was standing moderately close to the door. The man cleared his throat.

"Do you mind if I come in?"

The man glanced to Vynz as if her were insane.

" That be the point of having a door on the place."

the man replied, wondering off to go stock shelves.

meanwhile, Suri was staring at the empty shelf in disbelief.

Vynz eventually found her, though it did take a minute or two. Granted, it wasn't the actual process of finding her that took so long; he was walking slow, having a mild fascination with the wares. However, when he found her staring at the empty shelf, he could only sigh.

"Perhaps they just haven't stocked it recently?" At this rate, he was going to have to disappear to Sumatra or something for a week or two.

Smiling, a very fake smile, she looked to the stock boy, and politely asked him about the newt, and shortly after, she was setting on the floor, in shock. Everything newt wise was out of stock, and on back order. Apparently there was something wrong with the newt breeder's supply....

Vynz eyed her carefully.

"What exactly do you need with a newt? Perhaps... newt sweat maybe?"
