Darryn nodded in response to the thanks. But he was at least feigning deep thought.

"I don't think I own a dress." Did that mean they were all nice or that none of them were?

Ashleigh smiled and laughed at him.

" well, I actually like knowing that.... I was expected to wear a certain set of clothes when I was around the whole convent....... Nice clothing,( as in, only elegant or semi-slutty dresses for her, nice little princess she was), and such..."

She tried to explain.

She teased, smiling back at him as she casually started walkign up the lazy spiral stair case.

Darryn gave a good-natured laugh as he followed her up. He absently wondered where they were going. oh, and he was very vareful not to step on her dress. Even the day after he was not very fond of the falling-down-flights-of-stairs trip.

Darryn didn't hesitate.

"Cythera." He named the tiny little island off of Greece that he had been hoping to eventually reach. There were only about 3,000 people on the whole of the island. And all of his research said that there was no ruling convent.

"Why?"

" At the top of these stairs is pretty much like a portal door, know where you want to go, before you open the door, and when you walk through, you'll be there."

He did.

The feeling was kind of strange. Like... being turned into a bubble and then popped at the top of your flight. Darryn found himself standing on a beach. There was a light wind and no one around. It was warm, but it wasn't hot. Oh, and there were seashells everywhere.

ashleigh stepped through behind him, and her dress seemed to fit a bit better in with being outdoors then inside her castle as she looked Darryn over, grinning at him.

" Your shirtless attire fits better here."

ashleigh smiled and took his offered hand tentatively, looking off at the waves kissing the shore, mind wondering as her bare feet wondered through the sands.

Darryn smiled, looking from over the ocean and then to the right where he could hear the faint sounds of what sounded like a small town.

"Drastically different from your tundra..." Just an observation. Made one wonder exactly how he ended up half buried in the snow if this was where he was trying to reach.

Darryn smiled lightly and picked up a seashell, looking it over. This really was a podunk place if they weren't capitalizing off of these. He placed it to his ear and was caught off guard by the crab that latched on to said appendage.

ashleigh laughed and smiled, moving to help darryn, tossing the crab into the water quickly to keep from getting caught her ownself, moving to examine his ear, to assure he was alright.

Darryn was frowning lightly as he touched a little bloody spot. He would be fine though. Really, death by crab attack? Unheard of!

She replied simply, moving to kiss his ear lightly, letting her tongue run over it, merely to help encourage faster healing, pulling back and taking his hand once more to walk with him.

Darryn gave a very tiny shiver. It wasn't a bad one, though. It was simply that someone licking your ear was a very... interesting sensation. He looked at her with a smile.

Darryn was staring inland, however. He was looking at the way he didn't see a single person. His tone was serious, something that was seldom.

"To tell the truth, I didn't get along very well with the people that surrounded me, either."

ashleigh moved slightly, looking to darryn.

She admitted, considering him. He seemed to be too out going for something like that to be an issue.

"That was the problem." Well, more like one of many, but still... He was trying to be friendly, trying to make her feel better.
