I Didn't Think It Would Happen Like This

Ansel snickered, kissing her.

"Well we must make this right, let's get going quickly my love. For fear another might see this unsightly mess."

He shared with a grin, taking her on his arm.

[Sushi]

Nora laughed and went with him easily.

"I can try to distract anyone that might try to bear witness to the horror? "

[Tree]

"Oh, absolutely not, my darling. I'll not have anyone sully your honor."

He protested as they wondered into the salon.

[Sushi]

"'Sully my honor'?! Good grief, what kind of distraction do you think I'd be offering? "

[Tree]

Ansel chuckled, eyes roaming her body pointedly.

"You've got many choices at your disposal, my darling. "

[Sushi]

"Maybe, but I'm nothing if not classy," she huffed

[Tree]

"Mmmm, true. I do prefer lady on the streets. "

Freak in the sheets, but he politely refrained from sharing the other half of the saying as they were say to start working on their nails with their techs.

[Sushi]

"Look at you, returning to civilization. "

[Tree]

"On ghastly finger correction at a time. "

He chuckled, watching the woman working on his nails. He was rather amused with the extra little looks he was getting. They weren't normal little looks and he didn't exactly know the reason he was getting them, but the disbelief on their faces was pleasing to him.

[Sushi]

Nora chuckled.

"Even if they aren't as fabulous as mine," she agreed, flashing her flamingo pink nails

Clear polish, prefectly trimmed with flawless shape. They really looked like hands of some sort of profession that hands were on focus. He was much happier with their state, though.

" Yours are very eye catching. Not my color, though. I think I'd rather have green or black if I did color. "

Then again, a nice violet could work in some cases.

[Sushi]

"The clean aesthetic suits you. You might look a little weirdly goth if you went black. "

[Tree]

"I prefer the clear or maybe the pearl clear, at least, most of the time. "

He replied in a reassuring tone, watching the lady fuss at Nora a bit for moving so much.

[Sushi]

Nora was unbothered but did return her hands to the working space.

"Like I said, it suits you and your whole lightly-metro business casual vibe."

[Tree]

"..... I guess. That doesn't sound too hot, though. How on earth do you all wanna hit? "

He asked her in confusion.

[Sushi]

Nora laughed.

"Maybe I should have international businessman? "

[Tree]

Ansel chuckled.

"Cheap TV mob boss or elusive asshole?"

He asked her with a winning grin.

[Sushi]

"Definitely more Fifty Shades than Godfather."

[Tree]

Ansel snickered, opting to pay whole her nails were finished up.

" so. I don't think I'll be getting a red room. Disappointed? "

[Sushi]

"Not in the least."

She examined her nails as she came up to his side, clearly pleased.

"I prefer mutual indulgence rather than... I dunno... pain and power imbalance?"

[Tree]

"Eh. Sometimes it's a hot combination. Others it's pretty much just rape and abuse. "

He shared with a shrug as he reached to pull her to kiss him.

"I love you. "

[Sushi]

Nora wrinkled her nose.

"Yeah, not my scene. I like being doted on."

But she did smile at the kiss.

"I love you too."

[Tree]

"I happen to very much like pampering, so it works out well for pretty much everyone, huh? "

From merchants to his mistress and everything between. Maybe not his wallet.

[Sushi]

"My thoughts exactly."

She bobbed to give him another kiss, pressing up against him just a bit.

"We all walk away satisfied in the end. "

[Tree]

"I dunno about that, I think I'm feeling a tidbit incomplete at present. "

He teased

[Sushi]

Nora grinned.

"Then we clearly haven't gotten to the happy ending yet."

[Tree]

"How do we feel about skipping to that part of the story, then? "

[Sushi]

"I think I could manage that. "

[Tree]

"Mmmm, your place or eat out?"

He asked, letting her decide if they'd head home for fun or hotel.

[Sushi]

"Hmm... my place," she decided.

"I think I'd like the comforts of home and knowing where everything is today. "

[Tree]

Ansel nodded, kissing her lips, forehead, and then temple as he took to leading her from the salon when they were done.

" as you wish, love. "

But once they were home? She was carried straight to her room and the door locked shut. No detours. His.

[Sushi]

Nora didn't argue in the least. The only thing she did was a while after they were done, when, in response to a notification, she checked the indicator light on the box to make sure it was recording the season finale of her show.

"Satisfied now?"

[Tree]

"Very. "

He agreed, snuggling her into him.

" nap time. "

He urged when he noticed her checking things.

[Sushi]

Nora rolled into him with a happy hum. She apparently didn't have any problem with following this instruction too.

[Tree]

Ansel woke with a really, really confused look about.

/ Willow? /

When did their room change to this? .... willow didn't smell like this..... his dreams had been really, really vivid.

[Sushi]

/yes?/ willow whispered in response.

Nora was still sleeping comfortably, likely for the night at this point, if the 12:47 AM on her clock was anything to go by.

As was obvious by her reply, however, Willow was awake. She was sitting on the floor under the window in his bedroom, knees tucked under her chin as she slowly stroked her shoulder in the place Nora liked to hold onto Ansel to facilitate exactly what she wanted.

Ansel relaxed when he lightly pushed into her, his disoriented feeling and .... panic? About her had soothed slowly, a warmth washing over him as he realized she was ok and safe.

/.... I was just confused.... I'm sorry. Did it wake you? /

He sounded apologetic about it, his being just concerned and genuine towards her. He loved his wife and could totally keep it in his pants to avoid waking his wife up.

[Sushi]

/I was already up./

It was tossed out quickly and offhandedlybefore she dove into her next sentence without pause.

/are you okay now?/

[Tree]

/ Yes..... I love you. /

He had a tiny tug of uncertainty inch in. He wanted to go back to sleep now that he knew things were alright..... but he also wanted to go snuggle and kiss his wife. Cause she was awake now and he missed her.... but he was sleepy, too....

[Sushi]

/ go to sleep, / she whispered quietly.
