I Didn't Think It Would Happen Like This

Ansel noticed Nora's actions and glanced over his lady.

"Well, it's worked pretty much effortlessly for us? "

He posed with a smile.

/not sure how I feel about that one. /

[Sushi]

Taylor grinned, leaning back so she wasn't in Nora's way.

/Not the try-anything-once type? You're missing out./



"And why mess with a good thing?"

[Tree]

/ I'm fairly open to most things in the right setting. /

He answered with a smile, shaking his head at Nora.

"Pretty sure "messing" is my favorite part at times. "

[Sushi]

Nora laughed.

"You've got me there."


Taylor was distracted by studying the town they were now driving through.

"Hmm. I would have thought there would be more masking and downplaying of the supernatural prettiness."

[Tree]

"Uh.... not on the Darrenthrope lands. Pop is pretty much the land lord for a hot minute. Past his property lines in that direction is the Dimmura main coven, between the two it's kinda special heavy. "

[Sushi]

"fascinating. I bet that turns out all kinds of interesting results and fashions"

[Tree]

"I've noticed theres a significantly higher number of balls, masquerade parties, and huge ballgowns."

He chuckled.

"I'm used to having my wardrobe tailored, so I can't entirely speak on all the fashion choices, but I can tell you this place seems to have less..... fads or trends and rather just.... "

Well she'd see it. A collection of people clearly dressed in time period wear they felt most confident in. It was like pulling people straight from history books with most.

[Sushi]

"you always have the same thing made? Don't you get bored?"

She was very happy to peruse. As it would turn out, this was a great "playdate". An interest in fashion was something these two had in common.

[Tree]

"No. Tailored and repeated aren't the same. Though.... I had preferences. The old woman who used to do my clothing was kind and very creative. She needed some help confirming colors at times but the rest was all her."

But really Ansel was here to be atm and give out some pda.

[Sushi]

Taylor was mostly interested in just seeing and touching and trying on as much as she could. Nora enjoyed the styling battles and changing room catwalks they did. In all, they both had a great time. Nora actually didn't find a ton that she wanted, only two shopping bags. Taylor only bought a single, somewhat tacky t shirt. However, every time she looked down at the "yeah, I'm a tourist. bite me." print, she outright cackled with glee.

"If anyone is biting is your thing..."

Ansel chuckled, unable to help his fang filled grin as he watched his loves. Soon they'd be home and he could get a bubble bath and wifey snuggles.

His face relaxed and a dreamy smile touched his lips as the unbridled loved for Willow swept over him.

[Sushi]

"that's what makes it even funnier!"



Nora noted the look, though she didn't really understand it. She assumed he was just on a happy high or something.

"I had a good time," she praised him with a kiss.

"Thank you."

[Tree]

Ansel glanced to Nora, just happier to see her happy. His happiness was found in creating happiness about him. He kissed Nora back easily, nodding.

"I want any of my partners happy, Nora. I'm glad you both had a good time. "

Ansel teased, pulling Taylor into his lap to hold with one arm while the other cuddled Nora tight

"I know."

That's why she had mentioned that she was.



Taylor laughed.

/If you're good, maybe I'll allow you the pleasure of doing so,/ she teased right back.



When he got home, he didn't have to look around for his wife. She actually opened the bedroom door for him as he approached.

"... Welcome back," she told him a little lamely, blushing a tiny bit.

Ansel smiled at her, happy to see her as he picked her up and twirled about with her, kissing her enthusiastically.

"Thank you, my love. "

[Sushi]

Willow was a bit surprised but relaxed after a second into a soft smile. He loved her today. That was nice.

"I'm glad you had a good time," she told him as she rested her arms around his neck.

[Tree]

"I did. Though I'm starting to think in soothing Nora's insecurities, I might have united the two into mildly terrorizing me. "

He shared with an affectionate chuckle, kissing at Willow as he held her close.

" i missed you, though. Being that far away...."

Was uncomfortable. How did his parents manage more than being on opposite sides of the house?

[Sushi]

Willow smiled, burying her fingers into his hair.

"you thought about me."

It wasn't a question. His gush of affection daydreaming about her when he got in the car had caught her attention. It was also the reason he'd got the greeting.

Ansel smiled a bit brighter.

"I did. I missed you.. I'm glad to be back to snuggle you."

[Sushi]

Mentioning missing her made her heart swell. She rubbed her nose against his as her eyes pricked with happy tears.

"I want to be loved that much," she offered in a thick, approving whisper.

[Tree]

"You are. "

He promised with happiness, grinning at the way he felt her happiness, too.

"I'm such a lucky man. "

[Sushi]

Willow pulled his head forward and kissed him.

/I never expected today would end this well./

[Tree]

/Mmmm, that's what makes it all the more sweet. /

He delighted with a grin against her lips

[Sushi]

Willow shifted, curling her fingers into the back of his shirt as though trying desperately to hold onto the moment.

/I love you./

After a few more seconds, she let go.

"You don't want to keep standing here forever after your day out."

[Tree]

"Well. I was thinking of sitting down on the bed with you."

Ansel admitted with a tiny chuckle, kissing her nose.

[Sushi]

Willow bobbed her hanging feet just a little.

"That's fine if that's what you want."

[Tree]

"Well..... what I want is to turn into a rooster and crow about how awesome my life is! "

He shared with a great big grin, cuddling his wife as he sat astride the bed with her.

[Sushi]

Willow smiled, resting her head on his shoulder.

"I'm glad you've found a way to be happy again."

[Tree]

"I think of we find a good balance and rhythm we'll all be happy."

He really meant it as he happily doted on her.

[Sushi]

Willow tipped her head back so she could look at him.

"There being room for me is enough for me."

[Tree]

"You're half of me. There's certainly room for you. "

He purred with a light tickle to her sides.

"You're stuck with me. "

[Sushi]

Willow squirmed a bit.

"Stoooop," she whined.

[Tree]

"Awww, is something the matter? "

He asked with a playful delight.

[Sushi]

"no tickling."

She poked him.

[Tree]

Ansel pouted.

"Alright. "

[Sushi]

Willow hesitated at the pout.

"I guess you can if you want to that bad."

[Tree]

"I just wanted to hear your laugh. It's pretty. Like windchimes."

[Sushi]

Willow glanced down at herself, a little embarrassed.

"You're being so extra sweet. I don't know what to do."

[Tree]

Ansel smiled at her.

"I'm just happy. "

[Sushi]

Slowly, she reached out and lay her hand on the side of his face.

"Good. I want you to be happy," she whispered as she stroked his cheek.
