I Didn't Think It Would Happen Like This

"I happen to appreciate her direct approach at times.... just as I treasure your softness, kindness, and playfulness. "

[Sushi]

"if I could be more consistent, I would."

Willow drew her hand back in to cover her stomach when it growled. She sighed, disappointed by the fact she was hungry again. Stupid body.

[Tree]

Ansel glanced to her with a smile.

"What would you like to eat? "

[Sushi]

"um... Soup."

She was still dreaming about those bread bowls she'd seen. It looked so good...

[Tree]

Ansel chuckled as he caught a vague image of the bread soup thingy.

"I'll see if we can make that happen. "

[Sushi]

"if you can't, it's okay. I can eat whatever... Or nothing."

But she was going to fantasize about the broccoli cheese soup and warm bread for a while.

[Tree]

Ansel chuckled a bit more.

"Well, now I'm not even gonna have to guess which kind. Thank you. "

He was so happy to know exactly what she wanted. He was making mental note to order it the moment they were settled into the cabin for the evening.

[Sushi]

"thank... You?"

Willow turned her attention to him finally, embarrassment coloring her cheeks.

[Tree]

Ansel nodded.

"Yes. Thank you. I'm more than delighted to be sure you're getting what you want. I want your needs and wants cared for."

[Sushi]

A slow nod indicated her acceptance, but Willow went quiet for a while.

"What about your needs and wants, Ansel?"she eventually murmured without looking up at him.

[Tree]

Ansel looked perplexed as they headed inside, scrolling on his phone to find her the soup and bread she desired.

"What about em? "

[Sushi]

"are they cared for?"

Willow massaged one hand with the other.

[Tree]

Ansel softened, nodding.

"More or less, yes.... I thought I was pretty obvious when I'm not feeling up to snuff in some category? "

[Sushi]

"well, yes, but... Everything is always okay until it isn't."

She gestured to the empty air.

"I used to take care of so much more for you. I didn't know if... If it was kind of building up in the background?"

[Tree]

Ansel softened, placing his phone down as he moved to wrapped his arms about her.

" You were and always will be more than you do for me. You were not mentally or physically up to things, I out sourced for our children's wellbeing. Goodness knows I was blissfully ignorant of many of their needs. "

She got an apologetic smile as he kissed her.

" I might keep my temper until it boils over, or I might have underestimated my sexual needs in the past. ... but nothing in particular is kept from you. ... if it's kept from you, it is either under the pretense of keeping you safe, surprise, or concern....or, those were the primary reasons in the past. ... now it can be assumed I didn't realize it's significance or it's a gift."

Cause he did not ever intend to keep her out again...
But....

"There is risk of drawbacks to that..... but you'll never have to guess anymore. "

[Sushi]

"okay."

Willow rested her forehead on his chest, soaking that in.

"I don't know who I'll be when we get back."

[Tree]

"My wife. "

Ansel answered with warmth.

"The woman I love. "

[Sushi]

"I love you too."

Willow squeezed him before drawing back. She smiled a little and took him by the hand.

"Come on."

[Tree]

"Oh yeah? "

Where to? What they doing?

"The food should be here in forty minutes....."

Incase time mattered.

[Sushi]

Willow smiled a little and tugged him back into the bedroom. She gave him a couple sweet kisses before turning away. After some consideration, she opened the windows as wide as they would go and grasped the front of his shirt to pull him with her as she fell into the bed.

"We can reheat it if we need to."

Because she wanted to share all of the gentle affection she had with him and make the most of what time they had left here.

Well, when she put it like that.... he was already happy to indulge her every desire as long as it pleased her. He was even a gentlemen and fetched her food from the delivery guy and popped it into the fridge before returning to ensure all carnal desires were thoroughly sated.

[Sushi]

/I'm not going to forget this,/ she answered breathlessly.

/I'm going to do everything I can to hold onto this for my whole life./

Willow kissed across his chest.

/Thank you... So much./

Ansel smiled at her, snuggling her.

"I hope to give you such happiness many times over and over. "

He shared, snuggling and loving her a bit longer.

"Hungry? "

[Sushi]

"then you don't realize how this makes me feel. It's... Everything. Can't be duplicated or beat."

Still, Willow nodded.

"Ravenous."

[Tree]

"Ah. I will be right back "

Two bread bowls. But he'd ordered the soup on the side and he also pulled out another package. It was chicken nuggies.

"I was trying to be prepared if the soup wasn't enough. "

[Sushi]

Willow giggled.

"That's a lot."

Perhaps Ansel would be pleased that this time he actually bought more than she could eat?

[Tree]

"Well... i did it. "

He was really, really proud. Like a kinder kid who finally mastered their abcs, bright wide smile on his face as he had to put leftovers away in the fridge.

"Every time. I want your tummy all filled all the time. "

He was even rubbing her tummy in personal delight.

[Sushi]

Willow laughed, wiggling

"It's easier to do the fewer meals I skip."

[Tree]

"But look at your cute little tummy. This little food bump is adorable. "

He kissed her right on said bump, pleased as punch.

[Sushi]

A blanket of melancholy settled over everything else as she watched him. She tried her best to push it away, though, stroking first his cheek and then the sunflower on her belly.

"Being able to feel you enjoying looking at me feels really nice."

[Tree]

Ansel blinked in surprise, looking up at her.

"I love your body.....I... was that not so clear? "

Did she not believe him?

[Sushi]

Willow didn't quite meet his eye.

"You didn't always like it. Somewhere in between the moments of disgust, I just... I got you where I thought you only continued with me because I was convenient."

[Tree]

Ansel looked horrified.

"Um. No. I might have been not sexual attracted to your body when it was litterally fighting for it's continued existence.... but no. Willow.... when I tell you that you're stunning? I mean it. You are so damn breathtaking it's unreal. "

He shifted to kiss her.

"And I still loved you, even when the state of your body was incredibly ill. I didn't "keep you" just for convince. ....I might be a lazy feeder, but I am not inept at ensuring my bed is warm, if that's what I want. I kept you because I wanted you. "

[Sushi]

"if it had only ever been that once, I never would have come to that conclusion. It was a sum of every moment of disdain and disgust and contempt for parts of my body or what it could do or say."

Willow shifted a little underneath him, her fingers reaching to brush his handsome face.

"But I see I was wrong now. I'm sorry that it took this much for that to happen."

[Tree]

Ansel shifted to place kisses over her face.

"I'm sorry, too. I know I can not change the past.... but you never should have been made to feel like I did not treasure you so. ... forgive me? "

[Sushi]

Willow gently pressed her forehead to his.

"I already did. I told you before. I meant it."

[Tree]

Ansel nodded slowly, snuggling into her once more.

"Ok.... I really do love you.. endlessly. "

[Sushi]

"I'm doing my best to be worth that."

She snuggled in, starting to drift now that she was warm and fed and loved.

"I love you too."

[Tree]

Ansel shushed her, petting her hair.

"You're already worth it. Always have been. Sleep, love. "

[Sushi]

Willow protested a little but soon fell asleep anyway. She was awake first in the morning and chose to shower and go eat the leftovers all on her own.

"I put the stuff back in the suitcase," she told him when he woke.
