"And people will suddenly believe in global warming again, what with the ice cap melting."

" You know, I watched her drown a vampire clan that pissed her off once... that was ... interesting. I really don't think we set much better of an example, killing each other off and all."

Kalan's warm skin slid over her side.

"They're just jealous, I'm sure." He tossed her up like a child. It was a playful thing, and he caught her against his chest when she came back down.

Adelle was far from happy.

"My hairdryer is broken! Can I borrow yours?"

Adelle did just so, clad in the complementary robe. She didn't pause to stare. First, she didn't really care to. Second, she was too preoccupied with finding the hairdryer.

Kalan turned on the tv. Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Season 54.

Kalan was indifferent, as usual. After a while, Adelle walked out and nearly walked face first into the second door.

"Hey, there's a door there." Adelle threw the soggy towel at Kalan.

"Shut up, hothead." Kalan just dropped the thing into the floor. He decided that he would sleep too... now that he wasn't afraid that she would try to draw on him in sharpie or something.

Monica ignored her sister, sleeping on, rather content with the fact her current interest and her sister got along so well. it was nice. her sister had hated the last, and well, slept with the one before that. Awkward>.>

Monica growled s she woke, pushing Kalan's head away from where it had been after. She normally didn't protest to such things ( more accurately encouraged) however, that had been awful loud....

Looking in through the dividing door, Monica was glaring.

Kalan gave a grunt and a frown. That was one thing that did get on his nerves a little. Unfinished business. And not just of this sort. Unfinished business in general.

Adelle was now standing in the corner of the room, wielding the receiver to the hotel phone.

"I'm so screwed." There were cats. Black cats. Thirteen black cats to be exact. Man, if this wasn't an omen...

" get dressed, we'll be downstairs in a moment."

Then she pounced Kalan. Yep, she hated being incomplete too.

Adelle did as told, mostly because she didn't like being stared at... Two of the cats followed her. The girl was reduced to hiding behind a ficus tree.

Monica was in an even more then normal good mood as she was downstairs and dressed, looking to her hiding sister.

" they are just cats. And even if they aren't, they have made no move to do anything."

"Tell that to the Egyptians." Adelle glanced at the cat stalking by.

"They're waiting for our guard to be dropped. I just know it." Kalan's voice pressed between them.

"You know they make medicine for that, right?"

Before very long, Kalan was sitting at a little table with peeling paint, and eating a steak. He was rather happy with his steak, red potatoes, and steamed vegetables. All in a days work, right?

Adelle, meanwhile, was sitting in a booth next door with a young man. She giggled lightly, biting her lip as she leaned forward so that a ringlet or two would fall in front of her eyes. When the guy hesitantly reached out to brush them aside, the girl knew that she had accomplished her mission. Free lunch.

Monica tended to keep her claim on whomever she was with obvious, so was setting across from kalan, rather easily maintaining the other gentleman beside her attentions. For her, this sort of thing came overly easy, without her abilities. Even in this circumstance; with her attention completely on Kalan, the other man was gushing at her. It was slightly repulsive... The dude had even paid for Kalan's meal >.<

Adelle, meanwhile, was enjoying pasta. The girl didn't have Monica's advantage, but... Well, if you want to lie, steal, and cheat, it helps to have a little charm and finesse.

Yep, that crushed the guy enough he sulked off, eyes wonder back to Kalan. some men were stupid, considering the way Monica was eyeing Kalan, there was no possible way that she was gay.
